We have chosen TLC Living Community for my mother. We moved her to their assisted living early part of April. It's not quite a month yet but I would have to say that the community itself is very lovely, pleasant, open, cheery, and inviting. The staff there has been very accommodating, especially the nursing staff. The CNAs and the director there have been very helpful too. It's brand-new and has wonderful amenities like a library, a craft room, and a very spacious dining room.

We visited TLC Living Community and it's a very nice facility but it is assisted living only with no memory care and that means they don't lock their doors. TLC was a great facility and a mostly brand-new building. It's only been there for years. The staff was very friendly and nice. They had a small patio on the side of the building but no security there at all. If somebody went out from that facility, just this patio area, they could walk away from the building.

TLC Living Community was like coming off of a fancy magazine. There wasn't a speck of dirt or dust. It was well maintained. I was very impressed with how modern it is. It was just immaculate as far as cleanliness and that type of stuff. They lack a few things that some of the other ones offer, but it was the most modern and immaculate place I've ever been in.

TLC Living Community was unbelievably nice. The only problem was that it's not as convenient to get to, but it's sparklingly new. The rooms were a nice size and laid out well. So, you didn't have a lot of unnecessary walking. The menu was nice. The people were nice. There's nothing bad about that place. The common areas were clean and nicely lit with comfortable chairs. They also had a media room and a little gym.

TLC Living Community was very nice and clean. They didn't have any one-bedrooms available. They only had studios available. It didn't give you that cozy and warm feeling. It was like a hospital type feeling. Everything was so light and bright. Their rooms were very nice, though. The staff were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean. They had a salon and everything. It was near the Rock Cut Crossing (which is prompt care), so I would say proximity would be good for there, too. The outside space was not a good view. They had flowers around there, but they had older looking houses and a parking lot view. The facility was all brand new. It was only a year old.

I liked TLC Living Community. It was furnished really, really nice. Whoever designed that place was really thinking because I don't think you can beat the designs in the rooms. They were very nice, but they're a lot more expensive. I don't think I would have chosen that one for my sister because I didn't get the feeling from the person that showed me around. Any job that you have, you must like what you do in order to do it well. I didn't get the feeling from that person. It was very nicely designed, but I got the feeling that it's just a job for the person who showed me around. I didn't feel the cheerfulness that I got from the person at the other place. I am also familiar with Machesney Park. I wouldn not have chose that one for my sister because of the traffic and all that stuff out there, especially not for someone who may wander off. Their facility is probably a lot newer than the other place. It's nice, but the person who showed me around wasn't personable. I didn't try the food. She just talked about what they have. The people were much older than my sister. I think their health is much different than my sister's from what I saw. The person showing the place needs to be more personable and a little bit more outgoing. There's a difference if you're trying to sell something or if you sincerely care about what you're doing. It's topnotch as far as the rooms and things are concerned, but it's also a lot more expensive.
