This place has new management that is completely unprofessional! Ben has no idea how to run this facility and is negligent to the residents he is there to take care of.He is apathetic to every issue and is just there holed up in his office hiding from his job and relatives of residents! Waste of a paycheck, visit this place and ask questions, they lie non stop!

I was very satisfied with the great care that was given to me at Inverness. The nurses and aides were fantastic. There are activities to partake in as well.

If you have a loved one who is in need of long term care avoid this facility at all costs. My loved one has been admitted to the hospital E.R. on numerous occasions due to poor care here. Infections and other issues that should have been treated early were overlooked. Doctors who treated my loved one at the hospital even had questions about what was going on. Unfortunately, openings at the better facilities are all booked up and have waiting lists. We are on them all and hoping to get our loved one out of there as soon as we can. There are no issues with the cleanliness of the place or of my loved one. Staffing is short so I'm told, but after the E.R. visits you would think they would be more diligent in their duties so this kind of stuff does not happen again.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is at Inverness Health & Rehab right now. At one time, it used to be a really nice facility, but now that it's changing hands, there are things that I've been encountering that we shouldn't be having. For example, I asked one of the nurses if she had started weaning my mom from oxygen because that was the part of the care plan, and she answered, "What's that?" I thought maybe I spoke too quickly, and I don't know if English was a barrier, so I said it again, "I'm sorry, I'll say it slower. Have you started weaning my mom from oxygen?" She then asked again, "What does weaning mean?" -- and this was a nurse I'm talking to. I asked them about my mom's clothing, since the families can't come in at all because of COVID, and they can only pick up the laundry. I asked, "How would they know if they keep on track of the clothing?" and they said that all they do is check it individually. Then my mom had an appointment about a week ago, she had her shoes on and her pants on, but the top was not hers, and I have yet to find out what's going on with that. They also had an issue with the hot water in the shower -- only cold water was coming out, and they said that they would fix it really soon. I asked, "How long will it take?" They said about three days, so that's feasible. I called Friday, and supposedly somebody was on it that day. They came out to fix it, but that was already a little over a week, so I said, "What's my mom been doing then?" and they said she's been getting a bed bath. There's a difference between a bed bath and a shower. A shower is a lot more for hygiene, while a bed bath is just a temporary thing, and that's from three days to a week. That's a long time. There's no reason why it took them that long to fix it. All they said was they had to get a special part from Germany or something. My mom's been there for a month now, and she said that she's not happy with the food either. Additionally, I haven't gotten a welcome package from them. When they dropped off my mom from the other facility, I was just told, "Just go ahead and hand them the check," but I haven't even gotten a breakdown of what the services are or how much they are. I was told that I would be getting an e-mail about it, but to this date, I have not gotten any. Some of the nurses are really good, but I have to call them back sometimes if no one picks up, even at the front desk. So, everything is just adding up. By this time, these issues I'm talking about are just so basic, and they shouldn't be having these. However, the facility looks clean and they still try to keep it up, but that's just from the outside and the lobby area, since you can only come in to the front door.

Rosewood Care Center of Inverness is wonderful. My mom is there for PT. They're extremely kind. They do exactly what I request. They have been very good. The nurses have been very kind. They're excellent. I would give them an A+ for a nursing home. In my mom's room there is an extra bed, but there's nobody in it. They have a couple of private rooms, but every one that I've seen has an extra bed in it, and they just have it off to the side. They have activities, and they have little breaks. My mom mainly has PT two to three times a day, and then she has activities. They keep her really clean, too. I'm very happy with them. Rosewood Care Center of Inverness is all one level, it is very clean, and it doesn't even smell like a nursing home like some places do. The area is very nice. They have three separate wings per station and every station has their own eating facility. It is the best nursing home I have ever walked into. My mom is using Medicare there right now.

I went for a tour at Rosewood and it was a clean place. The staff was okay, but I'm not really impressed with the facility at all. I wasn't as impressed as I expect it to be because my sister told me what a nice place it was. They showed us where they had the residents placed, but they admitted that if the patient signed Medicare/Medicaid, they were somewhere else and they did not volunteered for me see that area at all, so that spooked me. I didn't like the setup of the room.

Rosewood Care Center does not live up to the standards of a decent assisted living facility nor does it follow the rules of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA). It is understaffed which causes the quality of care for the residents to be very poor. Though the view of the facility seems very homey and as though it is a content place for the residents when you first walk in, the units lack the same feeling. The odors are poorly maintained because the bed sheets are not changed daily. The garbages are also forgotten about and any health care worker knows that if there are soiled items in the garbage, the garbage must be emptied before leaving the residents room. Not to mention, because of the fact that there are not enough staff members, residents must wait a long time to be assisted in the bathroom, causing them to soil themselves and add to the odor. I also noticed that the CNA's failed to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when they were working around patients with MRSA. There was even a sign outside the door stating that PPE must be worn at all times. When I confronted one of the CNA's about it, they responded with, Oh it's alright, I wash my hands afterwards. Not to mention, whent the resident with MRSA was taken to physical therapy, the nurse failed to put a bandaid on her open sore when I asked her to. The nurse also failed to wear gloves when handing one of the residents her medications. Obviously, this facility fails to follow the proper procedure's to keep the facility sanitary as well as to prevent themselves and the residents from exposure to harmful pathogens.

This facility is part of a corporate chain but of course care varies amoung the various facilities; this is one of the nicer Rosewoods. The quaility of the short-term rehab program is good, as is the long-term care provided. The building is set back off the main road in an area of small office based businesses. It does have some outdoor space, though not extensive, for use by residents and families. The common areas are quite spacious inside and offer multiple options for families and residents to sit and visit. The resident rooms are average to above average in size with quality furnishings, and some private rooms are available. The staffing is fairly consistent with a fair amount of longer-tenured staff. Care provided is compassionate and kind.
