I went to Magnolia Senior Living. The facility is beautiful. It's all modern, up-to-date, and beautiful furniture. Cherrie, who conducted the tour with me, is fabulous. They have different levels of care, and different pricing, but there is no explanation on the sheet as to what those levels of care include. So I have to call her to see if she can send something over to me. She showed me everything, and she also showed me the basement. They have their own beauty salon, they have their workout room, they have a cinema room, so they play movies. The people can come down and sit in the chairs and watch movies, and there are some administrative offices down in the basement as well. The facility is just gorgeous.

It seemed a little older than the other facility. The staff is very friendly and positive. I appreciated that. She was excellent, professional, and friendly. It was very clean and nice. I remembered seeing a shared patio.

My mother will be moving in. Her doctor recommended it out of all the facilities I mentioned to him. He said, "That's the one you'd be the happiest with." We previously took a tour, and then we went back today to bring a check and to give some more paperwork that they told us needed to be filled out by the doctor. We're very happy with the facility. It's like a big home. It doesn't have that nursing home smell to it. The room is unbelievable. It's good sized, and it has a TV and a refrigerator. I told myself, "I could move in there." It's very nice. My mother will be in the memory care unit. They have a lady there who helps with the activities. She starts these little projects that they work on, and then the people come and finish them after lunch. The dining area looked more like a restaurant. They have a mini-menu and you pick what you want for lunch or dinner. They seemed very hands on and very accommodating as far as what my mother might need. I would highly recommend the facility. I was impressed. It's only three floors, and she'll be on the second floor. I toured a couple other ones, and I like this one because it's a smaller facility.

I thought it was beautiful. It was nice, I wouldn't mind being there if I had to be in the senior house. They have very good care, and the staff members were friendly, outgoing, helpful, and very thoughtful. The place was clean, they were scrubbing floors, vacuuming, and dusting when I was there. It was a great location because it was right downtown Hinsdale, right over the tracks and everything. Parking was a little tricky because I didn't know where to park, but there's a lot of stuff within walking distance for the residents who go out.

I thought the rooms were the nicest of all the places I’ve visited. It was upscale; it is in what will be considered a wealthy community. It is right in the middle of town, so if you are able to walk, the library is right across the street. It’s got a lot of conveniences.

It was very nice. It’s very close to where I live and my sister. There were some social activities going on. If I found that I needed that, I certainly would look into that.
