Assisted Living Communities in Lombard, IL

"I like the staff at Brighton Gardens of Wheaton. They are very involved and caring. It is very clear that they love the residents there and they look out for them. I was able to eat there, and the food was good. They have a good selection, it's fresh, cooked well, and it doesn’t feel institutional at all. We've been very happy with them. The room is very nice, and the bathroom is very nicely laid out. It's very easy for my mom to get around, and she just finds it perfectly comfortable for herself. Actually, everything about it, physically, is very nice. "

"It's a lot better putting my husband at Belmont Village; wish I had done this to begin with. They have levels of care but he's still in the assisted living. It impresses me that an RN is in the building and on duty 24/7. They have their own staff that fits to his need 24 hours a day but that would be extra pay. Right now, I'm very pleased. I think his room at Belmont is larger or it's just the way it was configured. It's very bright and the bathroom is nice even if it's not huge. When we moved his furniture in, they couldn't be more cooperative. They're very accommodating too. They check on them frequently at night and seemed very concerned to everyone. Cleanliness is great, no odor. It's a very up to date place. "

"We like it. The place was new, nice, and clean. They offered lots of things. It's out on a major street, but that's OK. They don't have much grounds though. The rooms were nice."

"My family member lived there for 8 years. The apartment was very nice & spacious. The food was very good. Concerns for Resident safety was very good. Very clean. The glitches seemed to be with a few select employees, who weren't very kind Overall, though, employees were kind, helpful, and understanding, as was Management. During the Coverage d lockdown, the information was ongoing & helpful. It would've been nice to have different hours to participate in things like window visits. Not everyone works 9-5, Monday-Friday. "

"A wonderful concept of providing care. Instead of being an institutional environment, it is a comfortable single-family home that has been designed for this purpose. My grandmother loved the fact that she lived in a single family home, with three other residents, while getting all the help that she needed. I would recommend Golden Age to anyone who is looking for a place that offers assisted living. Like they claim...at Golden Age you don't live in a home, you live at home."

"Driving up, the facility is well-lit and maintained. It's a welcoming, new building. Inside, the counter people are very aware of people coming in and check I.D. and confirmed that I was indeed her grandson. The hallways are wide, with rails to assist those who need it. Inside of the apartment, everything is designed to be accessible and easy to use. I liked that my grandmother had to "check in" every morning, and if she didn't, entry was made into her apartment to ensure that she was ok, hadn't fallen, etc.. "

"You must realize Concord Place is similar to having your own little apartment, it is not a full service nursing home. If whoever you are looking for can manage on their own for the most part, this is a perfect place for them. The dinning room meals are included in the rent along with daily activities. They have additional offers for cleaning services (ie cleaning the rooms, bed linens changed, etc) I would not recommend having food in the room unless the individual can keep the room clean. No different than an apartment building, you will encourage rodents. My mother has been here for 3 years. Her room is always clean. We pay extra for a service to bring her down to her meals and help her get dressed and undressed in the evening. She is in a wheelchair. She loves the service people that help her. I have always found Jack at the front desk to be very helpful."

"After living at another facility for two years, I moved into the Gardens. What a difference. Much more attractive, pleasant, and well maintained. My sugar readings have gone down, and for the first time in years, my sugar levels are always in normal range. This is due mainly to the balanced nutritious meals served in the dining room. There are always enough choices for me to make a wise healthy choice. My studio apartment is spacious and very comfortable. And compared to other facilities, the price is right! "

"We loved Clarendale of Addison. The people were very nice and my parents absolutely loved it. The tour was great, the woman we talked to was great, everybody was very pleasant, and the residents talked to us and were very kind. It was all very nice. The rooms were very nice, large, and well-kept. We haven't found an efficiency room that's large enough, but my parents liked it for how it's kept up, and that the room has a separate bedroom. It was nice and very clean, and in good condition as far as how it looked. I would certainly recommend this community to anybody at all. Everything was great and based on the list of activities, my parents would have been very happy there. The whole thing would have been very nice."

"My parents moved into Bridgeway of Bensenville. I liked that they were able to socialize with other people in their age group. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the facility is organized and clean-looking. I know there are numerous activities, but I'm not sure how good they are yet. They had a deal going on for two rooms versus the price of a single room. Two rooms for the price of one. So they had a special going on to get the apartment cheaper."

"I think this is a very beautiful place. I don't need any help right now but would definitely consider this place for when and if I do down the road. The employees were very friendly and the lady that showed us around was very helpful. I really liked the different dining options instead of just having one place all the time. I will consider this place when and if I need help for sure."

"I visited Sunrise assisted living. It was very nice and cozy, but I thought the dining room was very dark. It wasn't lit well. However, the living room was very pretty. When you walked in, it was very cozy. They had a nice dog and a nice fireplace, but the dining room just seemed too dark. I thought the rooms were very small. I thought the thing that stood out to me was the level and quality of care because that seemed pretty good, but not the building because it seemed small. It needed to be brightly lit. It was too dark. "

"We went to Sunrise of Bloomingdale, and we were very pleased with them. I have nothing but good to say about them. The staff was super down-to-earth and helpful. I just thought it was nice. The people were friendly, and the place was clean. I've tried their food, and it was good."

"We moved my father-in-law into Sunrise of Naperville North, and it's been great. The staff members seem fantastic. I have no complaints. I loved the food I had. They have chair exercises, cooking classes, they make Christmas cards, and they have a walking club. His room is great, and he likes it. It's the smallest room they have. The facility is a little bit older than others, but they knew what they were doing."
