exceptional rehab facilitiy the rehab staff was wonderful helped my husband out of a wheelchair and walking with a walker. Francis is the head of this amazing group that went above and beyond to make this a good experience. Also Borianna the case supervisor was very professional with a wonderful personal touch. Knowledgeable for our needs there and at home. I previously acknowledged the nursing and cna staff by mail hopefully it was recieved. Bart has done a wonderful job as an administrator in staffing this facility. NOthing like being home but at Oakton it felt like a home away from home. THanks for a good experience with wonderful people!

This is a large facility that resembles a mid-century, multi-storied apartment building in appearance. The nursing home is next door to Oakton Arms, which is the assisted living that has the same ownership. It is situated set-back about two blocks off the main road, and walking distance to the McDonalds that is in between the building and the main road. This is a safe suburban area that is primarily a business district. There is a nice outdoor patio area that while not huge, is big enough to contain multiple sitting areas and when seasons permit, pleasant plantings. Residents also sit outside in the front at times, which provides some shelter under an awning. There are some common areas in the building, notably the lobby is one of the resident favorites. Other areas are less private and can be crowded due to the overall number of residents. The building is older and has an institutional feel. Rooms are of average, which allow for some though not too may personal items to be brought in. Furnishings and décor is not fancy, but things are always clean and well maintained. The food is above average for a facility of this size. The staffing is likewise more consistent and many staff have longer tenure than at other facilities of comparable urban location and larger size. Care is consistent, polite, and professional. Management staff tends to be fairly hands-on, which likely is a strong contributor to the success of the facility and quality of care.
