Elevate Care Windsor Park

My brother is in Elevate Care Windsor Park nursing home. He has dementia but he is not in a memory care unit yet. He was transferred there from another Elevate facility in September. I think it's just okay. It's clean, they have services available to him, and the people are nice. It's just really hard to get information sometimes. Sometimes no one even answers the phone and it takes a while to get things going. It was a challenge for me. Eventually, I was able to get things done but it took quite a bit. It's still kind of new and I'm not there, but I've been trying to get the basics, like setting up an account for my brother's smoking addiction, and that was a nightmare to try to get through. It took me a couple of weeks to finally get through to the woman who gave me the number to the central office so I got the information to set it up. They will go down and get my brother, and that's nice. The people there are also friendly but the people on the floor generally don't have much helpful information. My brother also didn't immediately have a permanent social worker. I get more reaction or feedback if I do it via email so it's a little frustrating. When I got through to them, they were very nice, and my brother hasn't had a complaint about them. There was one instance where my niece said that his room wasn't clean. The next day I contacted them and another nephew came by and he said it was fine so they did respond, but it's not an easy process to get things done. They're not nasty or whatever it is. It just takes a while to get to them and they don't always have the information I need. I like the floor plan and its amenities. There is also no smell.

The location of Villa At Windsor Park was great, and the environment seemed great. They had a lot of different activities. They had rehabilitation available at the location. It was one of the top ones that we liked out of the 6 facilities that we visited. The staff was very friendly and very upbeat. The place was very well kept, and the building had 3 levels.
