My mother moved into The Oaks at Algonquin. It's a new facility, and they have many rooms available right now. The food arrangement is an option, it's not included in the rent, so you only pay for what you eat. Because of the food situation, they are the most competitive in price right now. They gave her a pendant to wear that's included in the rent. There's a button that she presses every morning to check in to let them know that she's up and going. And then they also have an emergency button in the bathroom. Everything but the internet is included in the rent. There are 40 basic channels of television included in the rent. The only thing that I don't like about it is they don't have a small storage facility for the residents to put their seasonal stuff in. They're still in the process of getting steady management there. They have a door that doesn't open from the outside with the key fob that's been broken since last winter. Because of the corporate organization that they're involved with, it's a big deal to spend money on something important like that. And that's the one thing I'm worried about is the fact that they can't fix a door lock without months and months of dealing with their corporate process. The staff is extremely nice and knowledgeable. The food is freshly made and it is restaurant quality. In conclusion, I would recommend this place.

We went and saw The Oaks at Algonquin. We like that one. It's a newer facility. It was close to me. The apartments were very nice. It was a very good facility. We were very happy there. The apartment looked like a small apartment with a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. The person who took me around was very knowledgeable and very nice. You can see that they enjoy what they do.

My mom moved into The Oaks at Algonquin Senior Living. The place was extremely clean. The ward was nice and large. They have a beautiful little courtyard. The food looks wonderful. They got my mom to eat, which was fantastic, so we are very happy. The staff members are wonderful, friendly, and nice. My mom has a very nice room with her own private bathroom. The room might be a little small, but the closet is large. There are a lot of common areas that she can go out into. Her room overlooks the courtyard, which is beautiful. They have a wide variety of activities. They have some field trips planned. They do a good job of keeping my mom busy. They have a large common area that was kind of divided up into three spaces. They have all sorts of supplies and cabinets for writing letters, scrapbooking, or doing crafts and puzzles. They have a dining area with lots of tables. There was like a counter where they could set up a buffet, and then there was a fireplace, with a sitting area on the other side. The facility is all brand new with lots of natural light. This is one of the most reasonably priced ones.

My mom is a resident of The Oaks at Algonquin. It's brand new. It has a full kitchen. Pets are allowed. Plus, there are two restaurants. It's very nice. They have a good-sized theater room, with a big screen, and theater seats on the premise. They have a beauty salon, gym, and a pub. She makes her own meals. If she goes down to the restaurant, it gets added to her account. They will charge her for the meals. They need to work out some minor bugs. I'd like to give them a five, but their maintenance man is a little difficult. I'm not thrilled about their maintenance person because he's a little rough. The food is okay for senior citizens. They have a washer and dryer in each unit, and housekeeping is available and part of the package. It's got no extra cost.
