My mother, Marilyn, has been a resident of The Cottages since February, 2016. Though she was reluctant to go into assisted living in the beginning, The Cottages has become her home and it has given our family peace of mind in knowing that our mother is in such a caring and warm environment. She has developed numerous friendships and is an active participant in activities, despite her hearing loss. And we can't say enough about the administrative staff and her caregivers. She loves them and so do we. They even facilitate Zoom meetings for us so we, her 5 daughters, can visit with our mom during the current visitation limitation imposed by the Covid-19 virus. 5 STARS all around for The Cottages in Middleton. -Teri

I went to see The Cottages of Middleton. I saw both their assisted living and memory care. They were very nice. Their apartments were lovely and they were the largest out of those I've seen. I liked its locality to where I live, it's about 15 minutes away. The person who gave me the tour was very good and nice. The dining area was open and it had lots of light and windows so it was very nice. Everything was spotless, it was very clean and very nice. Each apartment has a little porch off the individual rooms.

The Cottages of Middleton have nice comfortable and clean rooms. They have a very nice dining room with an open view kitchen. The sitting and tv room is also right there which gives a very inclusive feeling. The staff were so kind to my mom and they were so thoughtful of her needs. They were also very caring and nurturing to the family. I am so glad that we found this home and staff to help my mother in her time of need.

The Cottages of Middleton was a smaller facility. The residents all shared the same dining room. They had smaller rooms, but they called them studio apartments. They had a few kitchen cabinets that were all over the sink and a refrigerator. They had music, TV, puzzles, and crafts. They also had an activities director.

My mother stayed at The Cottages because we bought a house out here in Middleton, and we wanted her close. They had horrible food; they just didn't know how to cook. The environment was very nice. She had a beautiful room, and she didn't require a lot of care. The only thing they really did was give her medication and help with some general cleaning. I did the laundry. She was on dialysis three times a week, so I took her to that. The staff and everybody was really nice. They just need training on cooking. They need to get somebody in there who can cook decent meals. They do deserve to have decent food too.

Would have seen the tenants look happier and the staff be more friendly.
