Our mother is in the memory care unit. The Director, Carmen, could not be more welcoming or kind. Every person that we have been in contact with has been wonderful. They have patience, respect and are very attentive to the patients there. I would highly recommend this community. The communication between family and the staff is tremendous and they really care about all of the residents.

We went to Autumn Wind Assisted Living. They had a respite care program and a room available and would have redone the room. And I think they had enough staff members to care for the residents. We could do respite care out there, but I wouldn't do long-term care out just because it's too far from the house. They have a beauty parlor/barber shop and a nice cafeteria. They have dinner at certain hours every day so that people get into a routine, which is good. It just didn't have that personal touch that the other place did. The place was very well-lit. I noticed there's a lot of light in the hallways. There are different rooms and different sizes available. They have a studio, a one-bedroom, and then a one-bedroom with a living room, so it's larger. They have multiple size units to choose from depending on how much room you think they need, which I thought was good.

I visited for my mom. I saw their memory care, and it was a nice place. The room I saw wasn't furnished at the time. It was also small, but it looked okay. The person who assisted me was nice. She was very informative and helpful. The memory care section was off in a separate area so I didn't see the dining room of the main facility.

We toured. It was outstanding. The staff was all awesome. They were interacting with the people that lived there. They were keeping themselves busy with the clients versus just chatting among themselves. It's a very nice facility. It's much newer. They had menus, and it looked like they had some nice meals. They had a chef who cooked their meals. There were some people doing things together. Some of them were alone doing things like reading, and many were in their rooms. They go visit each other in their rooms, the people chatting, and it looked really nice.

My mom moved in a few days ago. The food there is excellent. We had chicken with broccoli. You go in and it's like a restaurant. They ask if you want salad and they bring that to your table, and then you can order what was on the menu for that day. Or they have an alternate menu if you don't care for what they are fixing that day. The dining room is next to a huge, beautiful central area where they can go down and play cards, sit and watch TV, or listen to music. They do some exercises for the seniors. They have an arts and crafts room. They have a walk-around thing where they all take a walk inside the facility. The staff is nice. They introduced themselves to my mother and told her that they are her caregivers and that if she needs anything, to just pull the cord or ring the bell. The facility is very clean, and it doesn't smell. It is like walking into a nice motel.

We had an in-person tour. We sat down and talked with the gal there. She was very good at explaining things, but they had no rooms available. They had four courtyards with a fountain and a koi pond. They had a hair salon onsite. It was very nice. They have a little mini fridge and a microwave in the apartment. They have a chef. The staff was very knowledgeable, open, and friendly. She was great.

My mother just moved in. It's very nice and very welcoming. The staff has been excellent with her so far. I've eaten two meals with her there and she's been enjoying all of them. They have physical therapy with memory games and music and they have a computer room where they teach them how to use it and it's incorporated with music, which helps their memory as well.

It was our second favorite. It had good programming and layout and was clean. It's a nice community that had a good feeling to it. The staff who helped us there was really good and had good information. I got to see the dining area just after a meal, which gave me an idea of how they do the feeding. All of them have assigned seating for meals, and I understand that. If caretakers are going to leave for an extended time, and their loved ones wouldn't be safe alone, they can basically do all the intake paperwork. It's almost like going on a cruise ship. They go, stay, eat, and hang out in a room that's set up like a hotel room. It's cool because they can test drive the community. They had a studio room that had a handicapped bathroom in the suite. They also had one with a separate living room and bedroom, so they had a couple of different room choices.

I visited and I liked it a lot. It was very nice. The lady who showed me around was very helpful, and I got a good tour. She talked to me about how a lot of the staff had been there eight or more years, and I felt good about that. I had a really good feeling about everything. They showed me three different-sized rooms, and they were very nice. They showed me the memory-care side and the regular-living side. When I was there, they had a Bible study going on, and they had bingo. The grounds were kept very nice and clean. The dining room was very spacious, clean-looking, very open and bright, and just a really pleasant atmosphere. They had a different theme every month, and it was all decorated. The staff was very friendly and involved in the care, and it looked like the seniors were enjoying themselves. They weren't just sitting in the corner.

This is where my mother-in-law is now. We chose it for several things. We think it is a very pleasant looking place, and the rooms are very nice. Our relatives think it is very good, and we are happy with that. The care seems to be excellent. They have three meals a day. People can sit down at the table, and they can make their selection. They have activities like exercise activities and music performances. Although my mother-in-law really does not want to participate in that kind of stuff very much, she goes to that, which she has not done before. She is no longer able to find her way back to the room, so she is always escorted back to her room, and they take her to her meals. They seem to be nice to her, and they all know who she is. Everyone seems to be extremely pleasant. They call her by her name, and we are very happy with this. We are concerned about what her life will be like, but the room she has is very large, and everything seems to be taken care of. There seems to be a lot of attention to the needs of the individual. It is a very good place, and we feel very fortunate that she is able to stay there.

It was an excellent place. It has everything that you could possibly need. If you wanted something, and they didn't have it, they'd make special trips to go get it. It was just a very nice place. The staff was excellent. They really care about their patients. They would drop whatever they were doing to help.

It was wonderful, the location was not feasible at all, but the assisted living facility was very good. Wonderful rooms. They also had a memory care center, a wonderful dining room, and lots of activities. I liked it very much, but again the location was not good for me; it’s about 15 miles away. I thought they have a wonderful activity director. The rooms compared to others were wonderful. They have a different layout which is instead of long straight halls, they had a corner; there are four rooms built around the corner.
