There are about 55 people living here in Spring Gardens Meridian. The staff is very good and very helpful. I have a studio apartment with one bedroom and one bath. I have a refrigerator, but no stove. The food is pretty good. They take us to our doctor's appointments and then once a week, on an outing. I would have liked a swimming pool and a fitness room though. They don't have that here, but there's a piano that anybody can play at any time. There's also a patio where you can go out and sit. The floors, windows, and carpets are clean. They dust the piano and the chairs are very well kept and nice. I just feel like I pay way too much money for what I'm getting. I can take care of myself. I go to the bathroom myself, get in bed, and keep my oxygen on myself, and everything, but I had a stroke a month ago.

What Is Memory Care?
Memory care is a long-term care solution for elderly adults living with memory loss, including Alzheimer’s and many other forms of dementia. Memory Care services include a secure unit with staff trained to help, love and understand the needs of people needing memory care.
Harmony Hills Memory CareWe know that memory loss affects everyone differently; This is why we focus on personalized care plans. After getting to know each resident as an individual, we can come up with the best way to meet the resident’s exact needs. We will correlate with each resident’s doctors and loved ones before the anticipated move-in to create your wellness plan that helps ensure the proper level of care is provided, even as needs change.

My mother struggles with depression and dementia and the staff has isolated her by not allowing her to use her walker. She struggles with depression and needs frequent interaction with people.

My wife was at Spring Gardens Meridian. It's a nice new place, but they didn't have the experienced staff that I needed. My wife wasn't getting her medication taken. The staff were nice and very caring, but they didn't get the job done. My wife's room was very nice. It's a great place, and it's new. She hadn't participated in their activities because we hadn't quite gotten to that point. The food was good, and the value for money was good, but they needed more training. I didn't have a lot of communication with them. My wife was having trouble then, and I didn't know about it. The fundamentals of care weren't there. She needed a little bit more help and she needed to stay on her medication, but she only got her medication for about half the time we were there, which caused us to end up in the hospital for a month.

I did an in-person tour with Harmony Hills Assisted Living. It was very good. Shanon, the gal that helped me, was very informative. I was able to see the rooms, she showed me around the facility, and was able to answer any questions I had. It was a good experience. It was new and clean. They have a model room that they show you that no one occupies and of course it was clean. I don't have any experience as far as having my mom actually located there, but from the review of the facility, it looked great.

We moved Mother into Harmony Hills Assisted Living. They've been excellent throughout the whole process, talking with us, helping us set things up, and answering our questions. Through the transition of Mom moving in there have been some minor disconnects, and I got off the phone with the office manager, she took down my concerns, and she said she will have some answers for me this afternoon. That was great to hear; the fact that she was motivated to resolve any issues. The staff is very nice, very informative, very helpful, they're willing to assist, and answer our questions. She's eating three meals a day, and she's enjoying the food, but she's currently in quarantine. The activity director has already talked to her several times, and talked about some of the upcoming things; they still have activities going on. They have a mini bus, and they could provide transportation if Mom needs to go somewhere. The place is only two years old, it's beautiful, and well kept. Harmony Hills is affordable for my mom's income.

Harmony Hills Assisted Living was a brand new facility, so it's really nice, but because it's brand new, it lacks human warmth. I didn't see a lot of people, and it's empty and cold. The staff was nice, and the apartment was fine, but it didn't seem quite as bright as the others, it seemed less cheerful, and it felt too quiet. It has a memory care unit attached to an assisted living, and the memory care people were locked in. They had an ice cream bar and the residents can have ice cream any time of day. It's two stories, and the layout was a little bit confusing.

Having provided advance notice thru caring.com to arrange for a personalized tour my brother, mother, and I were able to have lunch with the staff and current residents of this new facility. It is very well thought out and the staff extremely courteous and helpful as they evaluated my brother's care needs and matched a one bedroom apartment to his needs.

My mother-in-law is a resident of the memory care level of Harmony Hills, and its very different from the assisted living community. So far, everything has been absolutely wonderful. The staff is great and theyre very attentive to her. Its like living in a five-star hotel, and the rooms are exceptionally large, even the studios. Its a brand-new building and they have a cleaning staff, so its never dirty. They also have a master chef on staff. Hes a wonderful chef and they have good choices. Everything I have tasted so far has been great. They have two dining areas. One is a private area for memory care and the other one is a large area for assisted living. Its set up with tables, flowers, and napkins, and its very nicely done. Their activities director has just come onboard, and theyve only been open for about three weeks. They have a hair salon, a movie theater, an exercise room, gaming areas, and they have an ice cream parlor thats open 24/7. At Harmony Hills they are open to suggestions and your observations, which would help them take care of your loved one. My mother-in-law is at the top level of memory care. There are three levels of memory care, and five to six levels in assisted living here. They just opened on April 1st.

The Courtyard of Harmony Hills was absolutely awesome. They had more crafts, things to do, and a bus that would take them places. They provided three meals a day, including snacks. They had church services. The staff was very nice. It was gorgoeus and very clean.
