My mother is a resident of Meridian Meadows Assisted Living and Memory Care. She's with the assisted living for probably about a month. It's a very nice facility and brand new. It's only been open a few months and they have a small amount of patients. I think their maximum in the assisted living is like 32 residents. So, that's what she was really looking for. She has a 1-bedroom apartment. They have studios also. They are very helpful. They let her in but they wouldn't let me in. But they did allow me to go in the day we moved her so I could get her somewhat settled. As far as the Covid and everything, they're not doing any kind of outside activities, but they try and do inside activities as much as possible. They do have library and beauty salon, and they have a media room that's got huge big recliners and a big screen TV, so they can go in and watch movies and that kind of thing. I think it's probably been open maybe 5-6 months, that's the most. The other thing that we really liked was a lot of the places will charge a certain amount, and then they add what they call levels of care, where depending on how much health they need, it could be another $2,000 or something. Meridian Meadows is a one flat rate. You pay one flat rate a month, it never goes up, and there's no distinction between how much care she needs for the next day. They don't have to pay for extra services. It's all in.

I would not recommend Meridian Meadows Assisted Living. They just couldn't handle my mother. She was becoming demented, and she was in memory care. They didn't stay up on her medical condition. For example, she was on high blood pressure medicine, but she kept fainting. Then she would hit her head, and they would send her to the hospital. Eventually, they would let her back in their facility. It was our idea (instead of theirs) that maybe she should be off that. I would expect them to let us know that maybe she should be off that. We suggested that, and finally got a doctor's approval. They were not not invested in her care. I think it was fairly clean. She would bleed, and we would have to remind them to change her sheets. We would have to remind them to wash her clothes. If we weren't involved, things weren't getting done. They were very short staffed, which I'm sure everybody is. The room was fine. They were just not able to see all the rooms from their desk. The floorplan was poor. The room was fine. They were not able to see all the rooms from their desk. The place we moved into had the rooms surrounding the desk in the middle. They could see the rooms at all times, so that was different. They needed another set up. They really didn't have any activities. They would bring them out. They had a really, really small TV. They had TVs in every room, which was nice. They had a very small TV in a place no bigger than a dining room. There would be six, seven, or eight people stuffed in there, and chairs just sitting around. She never really did that. Then she ended up wandering around and being in other people's beds. People stole stuff from other people. We actually never got to sit with her while they were eating. I thought was odd because my partner has a mom in a facility, and we got to sit with her whenever we wanted. I don't know if she had good food or not. They need more staff for their residents.

Meridian Meadows was exceptional. The facility was brand new and very clean. When we toured through, people were eating and the food smelled good. Everything seemed very nice. Their facility had a lot of activities for the residents to do. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The people were exceptional. The gal that we dealt with was very nice.
