My parents are already in Edgewood Spring Creek Ustick. The employees there are just so nice and willing to help with anything and everything. It's a really good place. It's clean and well-kept. Their food is wonderful. Their activities director is wonderful, and they do a lot of stuff. They take them out to lunch every Tuesday. It's just a ton of activities. They have church every Sunday for all different faiths. Their activities department is great, and the director of it is like the most wonderful director ever. She is really good. My parent's room is nice and very roomy. I haven't had anything bad there yet. Everything has been wonderful. Food is really good, but it's institution food. They are getting what they're paying for definitely.

We liked the fact that the administrator of Edgewood Spring Creek Ustick had been there for 13 years. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was good when we visited. They do ball exercises, have different people come in and do music, play bingo, and go on outings sometimes for lunch or to go to the store. They also have a salon and patios, which is nice. My dad will have one that's facing the courtyard. So, he'll be able to see the garden.

My friend is in Spreek Creek facility at the corner of Meridian and Ustick Road, and it’s a nice facility, fairly new. The staff was friendly -- I actually I know quite a few of them -- and I help her there so I am familiar with that facility. I would also rate it well but not to the level of the other facility I went to. The only reason I would rate it less is because it’s not as expensive to be in, therefore it translates to their meals are not as good. The staff there is more of a turnover. The staff was all friendly and helpful and good to her, so it’s a good facility, but by comparison they take Medicaid patients. They don’t charge as much. Spring Creek is affordable; if and when my friend runs out of funds, they will keep her there and Medicaid will pay the bill. It’s not as large as the other facility I went to; it probably houses about 90 people or so. The building itself is new. My friend complained that they don’t do deep cleaning as much as they should. However as somebody walking in and looking and being in there and visiting it looks good to me. I don’t know if she is just complaining or that’s a factor. But overall, I think it’s an excellent facility. The staff is wonderful. They have an activity director; she has activities in the building for them, and I know someone comes in and does my friend's nails; that’s a volunteer type thing who does manicures and pedicures. They have a hairdresser there that the residents can use, and of course that’s someone who is a business for them so instead of having to go out to have their hair done, they can have it done there. They also offer limited transportation to doctors and so forth. It isn’t everyday -- it has to be scheduled and so forth -- but they have some capability of helping residents, and they do outings. They all go to Wal-Mart, they do have a lot of folks that come in and entertain. They had a piano recital there yesterday while I was there, and they have religious services on Sundays. They do an annual Christmas party, and my husband and I attend it with her. They do quite a bit to try and engage the residents and keep them happier.
