I'm staying in Paramount Parks. I live here because my youngest son lives here. The staff members are very kind, very nice, and very caring. They take good care of us. I have a 1-bedroom apartment. I'm on the ground floor and it's coupled with another floor that has memory care. The facility is first class. They have events every day, probably three to five music groups a week come in of one type or another. They have every stuff scheduled for every hour throughout the day. There are things that people want to do everything from card games to cooking classes to a Spanish class that they teach inside. We don't feel neglected from that standpoint. It meets all my needs. Their food is the best I've ever had in my life. We got three chefs here. The food is just fantastic. The facility has been extremely well taken care of. This is not a cheap place. It's been very, very well taken care of. It's been here a while. It's beautiful grounds with a patio, gazebo, and green areas. It's typical of what you would expect in Boise. I've got no problem with the apartment. We don't have a stove or anything like that. We have a little refrigerator, a small dinette place area, and a microwave. From that standpoint, I think that's pretty typical of what they are, but it's well maintained. People come in and say, 'My gosh, this is gorgeous.' It's just well done. Activities are excellent. They have a lot. There's computer bowling, and we have musical programs of all kinds that come in, so we're active enough.

My mom is in Paramount Parks. We chose this facility because it's privately owned, it's small, and they have activities every day. They have bands that come in and play music. They put her in a studio apartment instead of just a little room that has no kitchen, it's beautiful, and it has little parks to walk around, so it's just the best for her. Everything is good, and it's very clean. The people there are fantastic, too.

We moved into Paramount Parks in July. My wife was in the memory care but she passed away and I'm in independent living. It's good except that after living in a home, it's small. The outdoor area is really nice. The location is really good for us because we live just a couple of miles away and it is right close to the church that we go to. We chose it mainly because there's memory care, assisted and independent living in the same building, so we stay in the same building whereas before we're separated. There's a variety of food. Since I'm independent and most of the people here are assisted, I have a hard time communicating with them. It is hard to carry on a conversation, so I haven't got to know any of them yet.

Paramount is a nice place. It is the one that we like, but it doesn't allow pets. My mother has a dog that she loves, so we need a place that allows pets. The dining room is spacious. Their tables aren't so close together that people would have no trouble moving around. The staff is very nice.

Paramount Healthcare (Paramount Parks) was nice, very clean, and had activities. However, we had a scheduled tour but nobody was there, and they had to call somebody to do the tour. I liked the café-style dining where people don't have to be at meals at a certain time.

My dad is currently a resident. He lived independently until the age of 93 and so one would think the adjustment would be difficult. Dad loves living at Paramount, he finds the staff to be warm and welcoming, and attributes their good care as the reason for his good health and good state of mind. It's coming up on a year now and we are very glad we chose Paramount.

Paramount Parks was referred to by my sister-in-law's doctor. It seems comparable in price to other places that I had researched. Probably the biggest thing is that they gave us discounts on the room for the first month. We did not have to start paying. They moved in and there was at least another 3 weeks after we signed that we didn't have to pay. The staff seems great. The room is pretty huge. There are 2 bedrooms. We got a bedroom for each of them and it has a sitting room and then a bathroom for each. They didn't charge way more like you're not paying for 2 separate people. A price for a couple is extremely discounted so that was great. They had all kinds of stuff from head therapy to different singers come in, organ players. Once a week they take them on a scenic drive, things like bingo and card games.

This place is a very nice facility, but very poorly managed, staff is let go at the least provocation, lack of good training and supervision. Poor sanitation used in Laundry of residents items. Food service is also afflicted by poor management and short cutting, many food items they say are avalible are not ,food service staff has much turnover.Managements problem solving solutions is to fire whom ever they think may be at fault rather than train the staff in the first place.

At Paramount Parks Assisted Living Center, I found a lot that I liked about their facility. I went there to visit a few of the elderly people there and loved how the staff members were so friendly and welcoming to both the guests and to me. There is a game room, an open kitchen area, and much more. The rooms for the residents are quite nice as well; lots of space and a window to look out of (from what I saw anyway). The staff members were very responsible and caring to the residents when I went, which helped make the atmosphere calming and serene. There are large televisions for the residents to watch in the main lounging area and bathrooms in each resident's room. The residents all seemed very happy and seemed to enjoy their time there. It was an overall pleasant assisted living center; not at all gloomy like a couple I have seen in the past.
