My sister is at Bestland Senior Living Community and it's working out well. They had a beautiful garden and they have a gardening club that keeps it up and maintains it. She has a room over the garden. They're very friendly and accommodating. She has a husband and he can be with her for just $400 extra a month and it includes all his food. It's terrific. The residents have been there for like 10 years, and they like it. People working there have been there for 9 or 10 years as well. So, there's a lot of stability in that place. The staff is incredible. Connie, the one who helped me over the phone, was terrific. She's the best. My sister likes the food. Everything's fine. They have choices. She already went to play Pinnacle, they had a Hawaiian party, and they take them out on outings. She went to the lake. Value for money is terrific. It's a great deal.

My experience with Bestland Senior Living is not good. It's rundown, unkept, and falling apart. The staff is untrained and inexperienced, and the food makes me sick. They have just started back at activities because of the lockdown from the Coronavirus, although I don't attend any of the activities. The place is dreary, the upkeep is deplorable, and the carpets are stained and filthy. During the lockdown, I never saw even one person wipe down either of the two elevators. The fingerprints that were there when I moved in eight months ago are still there. The place is not being kept up.

I'm now at Bestland of Coeur D'Alene. It's a remarkable experience. I've liked it since day one. I'm very comfortable here. The managerial staff is wonderful. They take into consideration our needs and our happiness. They're just wonderful. The rest of their staff, i.e., the housekeepers, the kitchen people, the maintenance people, they're all wonderful. They seem to enjoy their job and enjoy the residents here. The place is clean and safe. They're watching out for us in the COVID disaster. They have told us that if anyone in the facility should test positive that we will be immediately locked down and confined to our apartments, which is necessary. They will see to it that our meals are delivered to our door and so on, which they did before. It has been a wonderful experience, and I'm enjoying it very much. I made a good decision to be here, and I like it very much. I would recommend it to anyone. The activities director is also our personal shopper. Now that we cannot go shopping, she does our shopping. We give her our money and give her a list, and she just bends over backwards to do that for us. Every day there is something offered to do. Today, we're having a residents meeting at 2:00 where we will meet with all of the managerial staff. Also there are games every evening, there are cards played twice a week, and there is bingo once a week. They have religious services done by the volunteers of the residents every Sunday. There is always something to do and they encourage us to take part in things so that we're not cooped up in our apartments. The building has been here for a long time now, but it has been upgraded. Before I moved in, they replaced the carpet and painted the apartment. They upgraded the refrigerator and the microwave. It's like brand new. We have laundry facilities at no charge, and for those who can't do their own laundry, the housekeeping staff does the laundry for them at no charge, too. They serve three meals a day, but they don't serve refreshments. Once a month we celebrate all the residents' birthdays of the month where they serve cake and ice cream. There is a fresh bowl of fruit out in the dining room for us to pick up and snacks if we want to. The food is always hot and tasty. The only thing that I personally would criticize is that some of the meals lean toward high carbs. I've just recently lost 50 pounds, so I'm very careful about what I eat. They're also very willing to help people. For example, I shared a table with a lady who is diabetic, and she always gets sugar-free desserts and so on. It's very nicely done. There is great variety, and food is excellent. I absolutely have no complaints, other than the fact that there are many sauces, gravies, and cream soups that I choose not to eat, not because they're not good, but because I'm watching my weight. Every lunch and dinner they post a menu on a whiteboard. They have the main menu and then an alternative. There's always a choice.

We are staying in Bestland Senior Living Community. I am very happy and comfortable. It is excellent, and we can afford it. This is the best for the money. It is a small place with 72 people who live here. The food is adequate but better than some places. I have a microwave and a refrigerator, so I can make my own food if I want to. The staff is very much accommodating and feel like part of the family. The dining area is lovely. It is not fancy, but it is clean and well kept with air-conditioning and a fireplace. We have two large rooms: a living room and a bedroom. We had a little balcony that looks out in a courtyard and an enclosed courtyard, so you can have a cat or a dog as a pet. The activities are fine. There is a nice, fairly new bus that takes us places. There are regular places that you can sign-up to go to, and sometimes, they will take us somewhere extra, like to a restaurant. They do anything to keep us amused, like by having people who come in and perform on the piano or sing. I am very satisfied.

We just sat in the office pretty much at Bestland and we talked to the lady who was very kind and answered all our questions. The facility was OK but a little tired looking. The outside looks like a motel.

We moved my mom into Bestland Senior Living Community. I like that they seem to be pretty active. They have church services, indoor activities, go shopping, have trips, and take them to doctors' appointments. They serve three meals a day, and residents do not pay extra for the snacks. They seem to be very good.

My mom was happy at Bestland of Coeur d'Alene. We picked it because the apartment was just the right size for her and it was not too pricey. The staff were friendly and helpful. Her medications were well-monitored. The food was brought to her and it was very good. They helped with her laundry too. Everything was just homey.
