The people at Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene were friendly. It's unfortunately located adjacent to a cemetery. That initial curbside appeal was not the same as the other place we toured. The rooms were very small and had just one very small closet. The bathrooms were shared. There was private toilet for each little space, but showering was shared. It was just very dark. It felt almost like basement lighting. It was not a very cheerful place. It was clean, but not very pleasant. They had activities, but not nearly as many as the other place. Some of the things that we asked for, instead of having daily options, they were just once a week or something. The outdoor space and the common area were really nice. I just think that the individual space for people seemed really small.

Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene was set up with just a small bedroom and a half bath in most of the rooms. One or two rooms I think had to have had a shower. There was no kitchenette and no separate living area. It was kind of dark, and it just seemed kind of dreary and sad. But it was a completely different level of care than what we were looking for. It's more like a hospital setting, and the place where my mother finally chose to go is more like a hotel setting. For what they do, they are fine, it's just that I wasn't looking for that type of facility.

I visited Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene, and that one was pretty good. The rooms were all nice. The facility where everybody lives, they have 16 people per unit. They got so many different buildings just like that in the same area. They had a nice big courtyard and a place for fish. It's goldfish that they had in there, and it's kind of nice for the people to look at. They had a nice barbecue area. The parking is pretty full, but we found a place to park, it's pretty decent. They had a barbershop. They had little grab bars down the hallways and stuff. The bathroom areas were really good, you can take a wheelchair and go right into the shower stall. It's a pretty decent place, it was clean and everything. They were in there doing activities with people when I walked through. I talked to the gal who does the activities, and she seems nice.

My dad has alzheimers and we were looking for a place to care for him. We have tried in-home care but I think the time has come to sell the house and find a place. We found the courtyard and it was love at first sight. The residents and staff are all very nice and the food is great. My dad is an eater so to hear that he loves everything is great. He stays pretty engaged, all things considered, with the games and activities that they do as well. We are so happy we found this place.

We did a tour here for my dad and I loved it. The Courtyard is beautiful and they just finished planting all the flowers and plants! There is a fish pond and fountains, lots to look at. I am excited to see my dad so happy looking through a place, this has not been the case everywhere we went.

My mom has lived there for several years and we are so thankful that she chose the Courtyard. She loves to do the tai chi and she helps plant all the flowers when its time to do that too! The food is great and the staff are all fantastic. I would recommend the courtyard to anyone looking for senior living for their loved one.

When the time came to place my parents in an assisted living facility over two years ago, I knew that the quality of care and staff were the most important considerations. Based on my interactions with staff and my actual observations, I am convinced that my parents are in good hands. The pandemic caused unusual challenges but I was able to stay in frequent contact with staff so I could get updates about my parents. I feel comfortable that my parents are in a safe facility with caring people and I am glad they reside at the Courtyard.

Our experience with Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene is good. The staff so far is very good, and we're really happy. I would highly recommend this community. My dad's room is large, clean, and spacious. The location is very convenient, it has very nice and botanical surroundings, and very nice and clean facilities. Their amenities are really nice.

Rooms are nice, but care isn’t. I would steer clear of this place. Huge turnover of workers. My husband is now living in a wonderful place. He was acting out at the Courtyard and I did nothing but work when I visited. Now my husband is sweet and polite again and looks great. The Courtyard booted him out for his behavior, so now they owe me nearly a month’s prepayment for care. They have told me that monies are frozen, because of Covid. What? What does Covid have to do with the refund of my money. Definitely getting the run around. Not giving up, though. Contacting the state.

I am really happy with the attention my dad gets. The facility is really clean, the employees always seem very patient and kind to residents. And I am always informed in times when there are issues I need to address. Thank you!

My dad’s care has been amazing! He’s been at this facility for four years. He’s had some of the same caregivers the whole time he’s been there. The care that he receives is loving and professional at the same time. I can’t imagine him living anywhere else.

Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene is a lovely place, and I like the layout because they have a secure courtyard that is surrounded by the various buildings and even though the weather is not great, my mom likes to go out there. She can walk with her walker around the perimeter, and it's mostly covered. It's very nice. The staff seems to be caring, and they work really hard to meet people's needs. The only thing that's not so great is that they seem to be understaffed. I've eaten two meals there, and they were fine and smelled good. They have a lot of musicians who come in. There's a lot of effort put into what they provide. It's a good value.

Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene had small buildings and a courtyard, both of which were nice. The people who gave me the tour were nice and the place is clean. It's on a busy road and it didn't have a memory care unit, so if something else comes up at this place you'd have to leave.

We liked Courtyard. The staff was very friendly, and the place was very clean and very nice. It was the best place of all of them. They had four building and each one had its own dining area with a chef that oversaw all of the cooking. The rooms were lovely, and there was a spa for bathing. It was assisted living and had lots of activities, like card playing, music, and people who came in to play music or read. They took them places on a bus.

My mom is at Courtyard at Coeur d'Alene. We chose them because my mom thought it was pretty. The staff is awesome, but they struggle so they could do better definitely. The rooms are nice, and the setup is fabulous. It is more home-set setting. I like the set up. They have an activity calendar, but it doesn't usually get followed. They just don't have that many activities. They need to keep up with the program that they present.

I put my mother at The Courtyard, but she got ill and passed away months ago. The rooms were adequate, but the care wasn't. The food was fine. They didn't care for her.
