My experience with Affinity at Boise has been great. They have a wonderful maintenance group that takes care of the halls, the lights, and the grounds. They're very conscientious about everything and are acceptable to all of the people who live here. Including putting your car back away from the curb, so those of us who have to have walkers or wheelchairs can go on the sidewalk without interference from car bumpers. The staff is always helpful. Anything that you need, somebody is there to take care of it. They have little slips that you fill out. If you want the water faucet in your shower to be changed, they'll be right there to do it. You just fill out your slip. If there's anything that you need to have taken care of, like you've got backup water or whatever, somebody is there the very same day that you say anything about it. I have a one-bedroom apartment with a bathroom, washer dryer, and shower. When you walk in the door from the hallway, you're into a vinyl flooring with the kitchen and moving island that has drawers and cabinets in it that you pull up your stools and sit on. There's plenty of pantry space and cupboard space. There's only one closet, but that's OK. I needed to get rid of some stuff anyway. It's got a front room and a little deck (a metal deck). My unit faces south and so I get the sunshine all day long. I have air conditioning in the front room. In the bedroom, there is only a fan in the ceiling, but that's plenty. My apartment is maybe 500 square feet. You have a refrigerator, a stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave. So, you fix your own food. They have a lot of activities. They have a regular schedule for game nights, they have a hot tub, a swimming pool, a workout room, and a community bar area with the patio out off of the back so that you can either be indoors or outdoors. When people go away or are moving or something, they have a big gathering for everybody to come and wish them a Bon voyage. It's a big U-shaped building. I don't know how many units there are, but there are a lot. So, there's access to both stairs as well as the elevators. You have a garbage disposal on each floor, and then you have the garbage recycle downstairs where you separate everything so that you're conscientious about our environment. We have separate places to park outside or garages if you so choose to have a pay-for garage. They are very accommodating. They also have book clubs, game groups, and crafts rooms. The library is wonderfully stocked and you can go pick out any book you want. It's huge. Every floor has one library with couches and chairs, and they have a deck out upstairs on the top floor that you can go out and watch the skyline for 4th of July activities or whatever. For the price, they have all kinds of programs available where you can go through government subsidies.

We toured Affinity at Boise. I was impressed with them. The tour was good. The staff was good. The maintenance seemed good. It was clean and well done. It's a brand new building, too.

We like Affinity at Boise. It has everything my mom would like, so we're trying to get in there. They're doing something every day, so they have a lot of activities that would be better than living in an apartment without senior living type things. So, being able to do other things with like-minded people would be good for her, and she would like to do that. I thought the facility was great. The staff is friendly and good to work with.

We liked that Affinity at Boise had an indoor swimming pool, and they teach aerobics. They have a movie theater, the fitness center wasn't that big, and they have a dog park where people can bring their dogs. They have Wi-Fi, utilities, TV, and more. The staff was very good. She took us in to see the two-bedroom. And they have a full kitchen, which is what we all like. They do not serve food; you have to cook in your own apartment, or they sometimes have those trucks that come around and park in their overhang.

We chose Affinity at Boise because it's one of the few independent living facilities where the meals are not provided. (We do not need meals.) Everyone was very friendly. It's clean. They have a lot of amenities for the seniors. They have a movie theater, a pub, a craft room, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a dog park, and an outside garden. There are craft activities and shopping trips. It seems homey and comfortable. Every resident was friendly. They smiled and asked us about who was moving in. The room looks nice. They're going to move into a two-bedroom apartment, and they have their own balcony off of the living room. There's a washer and dryer and a kitchenette with a microwave oven and a refrigerator. It looks like it has plenty of closet space. The residents have their own kitchen in their apartment, so there's no dining area because there aren't any meals served. It seems like it's going to be a good fit.

Affinity at Boise was very nice. Everything was great, and Leslie was wonderful. They were very thorough, answered all my questions, and were patient. The only thing was the size. We wanted something a little bigger. The room would only be perfect for a single person, but the facility was fine. They had a crafts room, a beauty salon, pool room, spa, a barbecue area, a pet area, and all the other amenities. I just had one concern (and this is probably everywhere and not just them) that you have to pay for your own carport. I thought that was a little over the edge. Other than that, everything would have been fine. It is close to Trader Joe's, to other stores, and to Main Street. The location would have been fine.

Affinity at Boise was Mom's second choice. It was a very nice place. I was accommodated very well, I really liked the place, it was definitely independent, they didn't have any medical facilities as the other place did, but it was definitely a nice place to live. They had everything there, they had a pool, they had a theater, they had a bar, and they had a lot of activities.

I was in Affinity at Boise for about eight or nine months. The rooms were a 5. They had an exercise room, swimming pool, and all kinds of activities. They also had one room set up as a kitchen in the dining hall and you could bring your family or friends in and have dinner or you can bring food and cook it. They didn't provide meals there.

I am at Affinity at Boise and very pleased with and happy where I am. My place has a living room, dining room, and bedroom. We have a library, play cards, do exercise, and watch movies. I wish they had some line dancing or just regular dancing. I would like that. I would recommend Affinity highly. It has very friendly people. It's a beautiful place, and in summertime, it has beautiful flowers all over. They take us to Walmart once a week. The staff is very friendly.
