We like the Brookside Stone Mountain facility. We like the staff, and we like how clean it is. It just seemed to be the perfect place for my mom. My wife and I were very impressed with the quality of the place. My mom will be moving into assisted living in a week. The staff was very professional. They took the time out to come and see my mom before they determined if she was eligible to come and visit the place. That meant a lot to us. They have a courtyard, a salon, and a podiatrist that comes in.

I toured Brookside Stone Mountain Senior Living for my mother-in-law. I liked the location. They also have a really nice little activity room or activity space, and they have a hair salon in there. I liked that they had designated areas for different services and activities. The staff that I met there were really, really nice, and they seemed genuine as well. What I did not like was that it had a nursing home feeling because when you walk in there's a receptionist there behind a desk. They showed me the memory care because that's specifically what I was looking for. They have a hair salon, and they also have a courtyard and a patio. The memory care has a separate patio and outdoor area that's secure. Then they have a big open area for the assisted living side that she said they use for all the residents, both in assisted living and the memory care, for special events like the 4th of July or Labor Day. They may have a barbecue out there and all the staff is out there with the memory care and assisted living. However, the memory care would never be able to come out there without anybody. They have their own separate courtyards.

Brookside Stone Mountain was good and looked very clean. The people we talked to were very nice and helpful. They have an exercise room, classes, a beauty shop, barber shop, and activities for the people. They have a courtyard where people can go outside. The staff who helped me was great.

This community was very nice. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant, and I liked their activities which, like their care, was more hands-on. Their facility was very accommodating. I liked the rooms and the spaciousness of it. They had a lot of things offered to the seniors and a lot of activities that they still contact us or invite us to. Their pricing was probably the most reasonable that I’ve seen so far. The only downside is that it’s a little farther away than I would like to travel. The rooms were a decent size, and I liked that they had bright and inviting colors. I was very impressed with it.

This community was fantastic, but it’s too far from where I live. If it was closer where my sister, and I live we would definitely use it. Everything about it was excellent. They have anything that an assisted living has. They have lovely trips to places like camp sites or big trips. They have everyday activities that I was impressed with. They staff was very friendly. They guy who showed me around was nice.

There was one problem with Stone Mountain, and that was with their phones. They were slow to answer their phones. I had to let the phone ring twenty-two times one time when I called, so I was a little nervous about that. I thought that was excessive. I hung up and called again, and then I got somebody on the third ring. They need to manage their phones a bit better, have a cell phone or something portable that attaches to them. The facility and the staff were nice, and the people in the Alzheimer's unit especially. They had a very small Alzheimer's unit, which was very good. They didn't have a whole lot of people, so they had enough staff to manage the people they have.

Stone Mountain has friendly people, and I like that because I like having a good time with others. I like to laugh a lot. The staff were very generous to me. The caregivers were all experienced, and they were very nice, too. I saw their room, and it looked fine. It was very spacious, and that, for me, was all I needed. It also has a very large bathroom. In their lobby when I was there, there was a Christian group singing for about two hours. There were quite a few residents who came down even with wheelchairs and canes. They have a bus that takes people out. The facility is very clean, and I would recommend them to others. I think to live there is very nice, but they are also expensive.

I toured and it was dark. There was a strong smell of a deodorizer. The carpets were worn and dirty. Overall it seemed to be a worn down facility. The staff was pleasant. Walking in and looking at the lobby, I was not happy with the place. I think they need to clean the place up, put new carpets, tone down the air fresheners, and brighten the facility.

I went over to Stone Mountain, and I love the facility. I like the way it looks because it's not depressing. I also like the way it's laid out. I like that they have tours for their senior citizens, and they have assisted living for older people like me and my husband. They provide three meals a day, and they do have a memory care unit. I think they have a lot of things that my husband would need. The people were also so nice.

I moved my parents into Stone Mountain Estates in April, 2013. I choose this facility as the location was very close to my home and the price was very reasonable and was within my parents budget. They offer assisted living as well as memory care which means it is a one stop shop rather than this continious move process as my parents decline. Once moved in I can say that the providers are the most caring people I have ever worked with. They go above and beyond to assist with all my parents needs. Regretfully my mom passed in August. Stone Mountain Estates worked with me in moving dad to a smaller unit that we could afford. Dad has gone through some depression since mom passed and the staff has been very helpful and working with me as well as dad in trying to move past this depression. I would recommend Stone Mtn Estates to all !!!

The director of Stone Mountain was very nice and she was a nurse. However, it just felt a little dumpy. It was built around the 1960s and it needed to be upgraded. The rooms were a little smaller.

We chose Stone Mountain for my mother because it was close to home. The environment there is more where the residents are getting a little behind with their program. They supposed to create a program that involves around the residents. The ones that they have are poorly adjusted for the needs of their residents. The energy level in the facility overall is very low. It doesn't really facilitate longevity in comparison to what I see in other facilities. Their selection in food is limited as well. They need to improve on this. They could also do with better maintenance of the facility. For the past two years, I have seen a tremendous amount of turnover in staff as well as with their residents. Their management went from good to adequate. It is like the quality of the service has gone down but their price went up. The cost of living in this facility has increased. They need to improve on the attitude of the entire staff from top down.

The rooms at Stone Mountain are fine, and even the facility is fine but we're just working out the mode of payment that's why we can't decide yet whether or not to move my mom there. The room has cable TV and complete with furniture. The bathroom is wheelchair accessible like it should be and it has side railings of some kind for grip/leverage. We didn't have lunch there, as we just toured the facility so I can't say anything about the food. The staff are very helpful in everyway they can, and you can see that they really want to help. I'm sure that she would be happy to be there if all things are in order.
