Somerby Sandy Springs is a very nice facility. It's laid out very well. I have a two-bedroom apartment, and I use the other bedroom for my office, and the other one is the master's bed. The appliances are in here. I got a full kitchen with a refrigerator. They provide three meals a day, and the food is good. We play card games, and we have a courtyard. You're allowed to have pets here.

My mom lives in a wonderful community, which is Somerby Sandy Springs Senior Living. She's been there a while now and it's a great place to live. The people that work there are just committed to making it a good experience for the seniors. Her room is great, it's nice, roomy, beautiful, and she enjoys it. Their dining area is beautiful, and every time I've eaten there it was good. They've kinda gone through different chefs and struggled at times, it's not all the time, but for the most part it's been great. They've had times where it's not worked well, but they usually try to correct it. They have great activities; that's been wonderful. The staff is great, they're very patient and caring.

Nice size rooms. Only 1 bedrooms and studios in Assisted. Larger rooms are in Independent Living only. Boring activities in Assisted and not many of them. If you like non stop Bingo, you will love it. Pendants to push for help but long wait time. Many unpleasant interactions with staff, some of whom are rude and talk back. No RN on staff. Only LPNs. Very little compassion by most. Untrained care staff and dining staff. Food is horrible. Cold, undercooked or overcooked, tough meats, no seasoning. Only good part is Ice cream. Wait time can be 45min to one hour in dining room. Definitely not “fine dining”. We were fooled by beautiful landscaping and interior decor and aggressive marketing team. Outings frequently cancelled even before Pandemic. If you’re in a wheelchair you can only go on outings on space available only and other mobile people take up spaces.

We looked at Somerby Sandy Springs. It was a very good experience. It was a very good facility. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour took us several hours; it was a big place. The staff was very nice. The apartments and the building were very nice, and I liked the location. It was adequate, but I don't know if all my things will fit in there.

Beautiful facility. Wide hallways, well lit, nice appointments. Part of the building faces GA 400 so it's noisy but we were told there would be a sound wall going up in the next year. Nice friendly staff the day we were there. ONLY THE DINING EXPERIENCE was a disappointment. There were two of us and it took 45 minutes to get served lunch. The chicken tenders were over cooked and the desserts (brownie) was hard. The food so far on our two visits has been average. At a cost of high $3,000-$5,000+, you MUST get a kitchen staff that can shake the quality up. In addition, we noticed several residents getting up to ask where their food was AND could they get this or that. Perhaps a more attentive staff with more training would help. Other than that and the food is a big part of the retirement experience, nice facility, movie theater, exercise room and pool! JUST FIX THE FOOD!!

We like Somerby Sandy Springs very much. It stood out over and above everything else that I looked at. It was newer and the rooms were nice-sized and nicely-appointed. The staff seemed very efficient and attentive. I liked the indoor pool and fitness center. They have movies and they invited me to a concert that they were having there.

We visited Somerby Sandy Springs. Its less than a year old, and it was just huge. It had every facility you could imagine in there, a lot of areas, and everything is nice about it. It was expensive too, it was like living in a little town, and it had several restaurants. It has independent living, assisted living, and it was very impressive. It has 128 independent living apartments, 48 assisted living apartments, and 24 memory care units. It has all sorts of entertainment areas.

We've been living in Somerby Sandy Springs and we like it. Our apartment is very nice and there's a complete kitchen. I have no complaints. We have religious services in one of their activity rooms, physical therapy on-site, a dentist and doctors who come in every so often, and we have a beauty shop. We also have a very nice bistro and you can get food from 8:30 to 4:00 if you don't want to go to the dining room. They also seem to have a lot of good activities, like interesting trips. We're also getting a good price here.
