The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe is nice. They have a nice dining hall and they have people who care for them well. They have house cleaning and washing/laundry. It's just a really good place to be. We were impressed with it. Mom is on the second floor. She has a single-bedroom apartment, and it's got a bathroom and a kitchenette. So far, my interaction with the staff has been excellent. They have a lot of different activities. They have bingo, they do arts and crafts, and they have people come in and have church and music. They also take them outside and do a lot of different things with them. They have a courtyard as well. It was just super nice and the people were good to deal with and that's been the main reason that we went there.

We placed my mom in The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe. It's a very nice community and the staff is great. There is a physician's assistant that is there two days a week, they have lots of activities, and there's always someone checking on mom. It's just been a really good place for her. They have devotions every morning, they have exercise, they have bingo, they have karaoke and they take them out for bus rides. Everybody's been extremely helpful and they all seem to love mom, so that's important. The accommodations are very nice, and just a perfect size for her. They will give them snacks any time they want. They have activities out like puzzle books and art supplies that they can just pick up any time. My mom eats there and she has told me that they have good food.

For the second time in nine months I was a short-term resident while my spouse was undergoing eye surgery and recovery and restricted in her activity. Having spent six weeks at Rosewood last spring, when the need for short-term assisted living, there was no question that I would return for the second time which only required three weeks. My experience again was excellent. Staff personnel are caring people who go above and beyond to assist in every possible way; Caregivers and dining room servers are cheerful, and quick to see that the resident's needs and desires are quickly and uncomplainably met. Rooms are spotlessly clean and odor free; Food is more than adequate, tasty and nutritious as well as menu choices are available. Cost is reasonable when compared to room prices at better than average hotels, considering that the resident care services provided are without extra cost and the facility is above average quality. Transportation service is provided on a pre-arranged reservation basis. There is no question in my mind: Should I need assisted living care at any time in the future, I shall re-return to Rosewood, my home away from homed.

I visited Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe. It's beautiful, nice, airy, and very cheerful, but it was too expensive for my uncle. Everybody was great, the food was very nice, but I didn't try it. They have people come in, they play music, and they play bingo.

Our visit to Rosewood Retirement Community was awesome. I really liked their memory care section. It was much larger. It felt like you didn’t know that you were in a lockdown unit. They have lots of activities. They had a garden that the residents could plant anything they wanted to in the garden. I was able to walk through the dining room while they were eating and had seen how it was set up. I was very impressed of their facility. It was more of an open feel. The rooms were off to either side of the dining area, and it was more of a homey feel there. They had bigger rooms. They had a double room like an apartment-type thing.
Thank you Rosewood

We had a wonderful Respite experience at Rosewood. From admission through discharge, the staff were kind, responsive and easy to work with. Rena over dietary was phenomenal. Alison was great to work with. Even the gentleman over maintenance made us feel at home. Their partnership with Tapestry Hospice was a tremendous benefit to our family.

The Rosewood at Fort Oglethorpe had some virus outbreak when we visited. All of the residents were told to stay in their rooms, and the visitors were recommended to wear face masks while we toured. All the residents were fed their meals in their rooms that day. They did everything for the safety of their residents. The rooms seemed to be very small. The hallways were very narrow like in a hotel. I don't think two wheelchairs could fit side by side. The place was OK, but it did not meet our needs because we were looking for an independent living facility. The common areas were nice, clean, and well kept. The grounds and courtyard were beautiful and clean. It did not smell bad. The staff were very helpful and nice, which stood out to me during my visit.

I wouldn't put my dog in the care of these people. When you meet the person to talk about putting a loved one in care here, it sounds wonderful. Activities, meals, snacks, outings. We were feeling really great about the choice to put my grandfather here in their memory care facility. A couple months down the road, he was put on a medicine that we did not approve and he had an adverse reaction to it. He was lashing out and upset a lot of the time. They demanded he have a psychological evaluation done. When we took him, there was nothing wrong with him. We took him back and his care went downhill. The CNAs were constantly on their phones instead of caring for residents. They would stand in the kitchen and cut up while the residents had to fend for themselves. My grandfather laid in bed almost an entire day without food or water because no one came to get him. You cannot expect a person with Alzheimer's to know when to get themselves up and dressed. But they need extra help? Tack on a few more hundred dollars. When asked where he was when we didn't see him the nurse laughed and said "you know, I haven't seen him all day!" What if he had died?? This place is HORRIBLE. Residents walk around and spit on the floor. They aren't supervised. And to top it all off, the memory care isn't a licensed memory care facility. Do not put a loved one here unless you're leaving them to die.

The facility is very nice, but the attention the staff gave my Mother was horrible. Mother had to have a special drink for her meals and the drinks were taken to the facility for them to mix and give her. Repeatedly they would forget to bring her drink, which was her only nutrition. We talked to the administrator there three times about the problem and the blame was put on the kitchen staff or the floor staff. When Mother fell, no one called to inform us of the fall and no one looked at her injuries. We do not know how long she lay in the floor before she was found. When the administrator was questioned about the fall she said there would have been a report brought to her. Well the report was brought and put in her inbox, but she was out of the office and no one was backing up her duties. She found the report in her inbox. Mother will not be back.

The name of the facility is Rosewood. We chose it for my mother because it is close to home. The staff is all very nice and very positive. There's different sized rooms for different needs. They all look quite comfortable. The dining area is very nice, and the staff is very helpful. They have lots of activities like bingo and member's night. It is a family night where all the people have their family come in, and they do a dinner. They do a lot of shopping trips and go to lunch or dinner at different places. There are several things on the calendar every day. It is a very nice and well-kept place. The staff and everyone there are very positive. It is a very nice facility.
