My mother-in-law lived at Grace Senior Living for three years, but she got to be a handful, and so they would not keep her anymore. The staff was friendly, available, and communicated well. The food was really good. The building was very old, but the value for the money was really high. You get a lot. It's smaller, and so it's more like a community. It's small enough that everybody could come out to the main activity room. It had low ceilings. They had decorated and remodeled, and it's very beautiful, but the rooms were very small. They had a preaching service, puzzles, and bingo. I never knew them to leave the facility for activities, but they played games.

My mother was taken to the hospital for a UTI. On the day she was discharged Grace informed us they would not take her back unless we arranged and paid for 24 hour care from an outside nurse. They had opportunities to tell us before the day she was discharged but chose to wait to the last minute leaving us in a very bad place. They made no help in trying to place in her another institution.

My mother moved into Grace Senior Living. They've been accommodating, the staff is very friendly, some are new, but they work well with the residents there. The room is OK. It's a little smaller than where she came from, but that's fine since she's hardly in it; she's mostly in the common areas. I liked the shower, and the closet is a big plus. The dining area is fine, with enough room for everybody. They paint fingernails, I've seen a rock concert, there are religious services, they've done bingo, and they usually have quite a bit of activities, which is good. It's usually pretty clean, tidied up, and even though they have an event, they quickly put the tables back together. I've never had a complaint that something's too dirty.

I first visited this community in hopes that my father would be able to live here because I had heard such great things about this facility. When I walked in I was greeted by the Activities Director, and i knew what I heard was true. I met many employees here during my visit and I was very impressed with them all. The Executive Director was amazing and when I realized that my dad would not move to Douglasville, she helped me with facilities near where my dad currently lived. All I can say is during the time I needed help and no one would seemed to care or want to help unless he was moving into their facility, the staff at Grace went beyond my expectations in really showing they cared. It is a small community full of love and laughter, I even seen an employee walk a resident out who smoked and they stayed with her the whole time and brought her back inside. It may be small but it is a home environment where you can tell every staff member loved their job! I had toured at least 5 facilities and this is the only one that gave me that "I am home feeling" Except for where they helped me find placement for my dad.

My mother has been in Grace Assisted Living for about two months and they're really good to her. Everything's nice and clean and they take care of everybody here. The staff is so friendly and very accommodating. The grounds are really nice and they have a beautiful backyard courtyard. When we moved her in, the room was freshly painted and they put new carpet in the day before. Everything is pretty pristine looking and the bathroom's fine. I don't see any downside yet.

I wasn't impressed with Grace Assisted Living at all. Their staff wasn't that great. I didn't see the residents being very active. They weren't very outgoing and like they were just there, existing. It was also really old school. The rooms were smaller. They were not what I would consider for my mom. They were just OK. It wasn't the kind of environment that would make a senior feel like they're in a positive situation. They didn't have that many amenities nor activities. The seniors seemed rather disengaged.

I didn't like Grace five years ago, but Karen has really turned this place around. It's the ONLY place my mother lived that she liked. She thrived at Grace and they took very, very good care of her, and they were very loving even when she wasn't (my mother can be quite ornery and stubborn). I'm an RN and I'd recommend this assisted living facility to anyone. It's easy for family to get in and out of the facility without endangering the residents but it never once felt like a locked ward (unlike another facility my mother lived at). My mother had her own room (i.e. privacy) and their Jack and Jill rooms also offer privacy. Grace has gardens and outdoor areas for the residents and family which are quite nice. They have an full activities schedule including daily devotionals. What amazed me the most however is my mother played table tennis at Grace and joined in the daily activities. Wellstar Douglas Hospital is just across street from Grace which made doctor appointments easy to get her to. They have a visiting podiatrist as well as a visiting psych nurse which can help with any emotional or behavior issues. There's a hair salon on site and even a quite room for visiting. Visit. Talk to the staff and residents. I think you'll be just as happy with Grace as I am.

I have a long time life friend who just moved in to Grace Senior Living. The staff are extraordinary when dealing with their patients and are very loving! It is a beautiful facility who really shows how much they care. I feel so comforted that my beloved friend has found a place to live. I helped her daughter search for the right place and when we entered the doors and was welcomed with a smile, we knew. We spoke to many of the residents, one who had lived there for 11 years who still loves living there. If you are looking for a loving, very clean, home like place for your loved one, this is it.

As we were walking down the hallways of Grace Assisted Living Douglasville, my 4-year old daughter was holding her nose the entire time. That describes the place and that's the way it was. It was a nice place that looked pretty good, but it didn't smell very good at all. It should be updated a little bit and the flooring was not conducive for older people. The staff was very nice, and it's not a big place, which would have been fine for Dad. I just saw the residents sitting and not much activity was going on. I did not like the dining area either.

I visited this facility while looking for a place for my dad. It is a small place but filled with love and laughter. When I first walked in i was surprised to see many sitting watching tv and playing card games. There were so many activities going on i knew my dad would maybe not participate (he is hard of hearing and shy) but love to watch everything going on. The place was very clean and smelled really good.. The lady who runs it was very nice and spent a lot of time with me. She walked me around the facility and i spoke to many patients who was happy to te me how much they loved living there. I loved the outdoor activity area and knew my dad would spend most of his time outside. A really great place that i would love to put my dad there.

I visited this Grace Assisted Living because i needed a place for my dad. It was very clean at felt like a home more than a senior center. it was small but seemed to be filled with love and laughter. There were so many activities going on i could see my dad even if he didnt want to do the activities as least watch. The lady who ran it was very warm and seemed acknowledged about caring for seniors. It came as no surprise to find that they didnt have a room but i will stay in touch or at least use this as a standard while i continue my search.

We visited Grace Living facility (Grace Assisted Living Douglasville). I would never put my parent there. When you walk in the front door, you see a couch filled with people either sitting on the couch or in their wheelchairs all sound asleep. I saw one room, like a hospital room, and that’s all they had to offer. It didn't include a kitchen, bedroom, or anything like that. They need more activities and possibly more caregivers. The admission staff is awesome. They’re very, very helpful, but the facility needs help.

I went to Grace Assisted Living in Hospital Drive at Douglasville. I did not like it at all because when you walk in the front, you walk straight in the common room where they had the TV and seating area. It was a little bit small, and it was very noisy out there. I know that it would not be a good place for my husband immediately because it had a lot of different things going on. They had the television, people out there talking, and there were some people on the table doing a game or a puzzle. To me it was a little overwhelming with all the activity, and I knew it would not work for him. They did tell me about activities, but I don't remember anything specific. I saw what was supposed to be the dining area, and it appeared to be fairly small. I don't know if that is the only one they had, but it looks like a table that can sit maybe twelve people. But once I have seen the front of it and talked to someone, I kind of quickly determined that it wasn't for my husband, so I didn't investigate much further. My observation is that it is too busy of a place for a senior citizen.

Grace Assisted Living is a small facility. The staff was just super. They're phenomenal. I was greeted when I walked in instantly and introduce to everybody. They gave me a tour of the entire place. They have three choices of room. They have small, medium and larger apartments. They have activities. They have different rooms that had activities like bingo. They have a main room when you walk in which is a beautiful lobby. It had a piano and a TV. It was more or less a greeting place. I was given a menu and the menu was actually very well put together. They also have a submenu. It had a wonderful dining room. It also had a wonderful courtyard outside. They have a space for men only, like meet-and-greet for the men. They could have a beer or whatever. It wasn't as large as the other facilities, but it was equally as wonderfully nice. I would definitely recommend this place. It was one of my favorites.

Grace is a small facility. The carer seemed to be well but it was a lower class facility. The staff seemed to care for the people. But I think it caters to a different clientele and for that clientele it seemed to be quite adequate. It’s much cheaper and the sanitation seemed fine. The rooms were a little smaller and the dining room looked adequate. The staff seemed attentive to anybody who asked them. The management and the director are well-informed and explained the policies.

We went to Grace Assisted Living. The lady who managed that area was excellent. She sat and talked with us for quite a while. They had a pretty full house. They had a lot of people in there. The people there were extremely nice. I hadn’t made any appointment with them, but they were kind enough to let us take a look at the facility. We saw the rooms, and I think they were sufficient for one person. They had an area where the residents can come out together. They also told us about the menu, and I think it was sufficient. The facility is not as modernized, compared to other facilities we looked at, and so I think they could probably use some upgrades, like giving the facility a little more color. I think if they did some upgrades that would help them a lot there.

It was wonderful to see a senior living place that felt like a home and not like a hospital. Everyone was very friendly and the people living there were happy. The workers and the residents were laughing and having fun. The lady in charge was professional but yet warm and welcoming. I am happy my friend is spending her last years among these loving and caring people. Also everything was clean and the building has a pleasant smell, not like a nursing home. Overall it was just one big happy family.

Grace Assisted Living was very small but it was so clean. The residents I talked to share with me how much they enjoyed living there. I also observed how they were giving their medications and I was impressed with their procedures. I toured their rooms and it was very clean and pretty spacious. The bathroom was very clean. There was someone leading a song service with the residents in the open area and they were singing thoroughly and enjoying themselves.
