We chose Ritchglow Personal Care Home for my brother because the person who referred me to it is from the senior employment government place. It's a house, a personal-care home. They have three men and three women, and that's all it can hold. She had one room, and it was a single room, which was a shock, because my brother needs his own room. He will stay in his room, he watches TV 24/7, and he doesn't want you talking unless you talk about the movie. I love the owner, she's very detailed. She has been in service for a while and stopped, and she just came back again. They were serving dinner; they all sit at the table, even the blind lady. It was so homey. They serve three meals a day. My brother was raised by our grandmother, and we also sat at the table and had three full meals a day. So it fits right in with him. They have very comfortable sitting rooms. I didn't see them having any workouts; everything else in terms of activities is outside. But coming in and going out, it's on a hill. A vehicle can get up there, but it's still a hill, and with rain and snow that's going to be a problem. Everything else was fine: the bathrooms, kitchen, and sitting rooms were fine. The ladies and the men each have a separate bathroom. The ladies are on one side of the house, and the men are on the other side. They have railings all over the house so when they're walking they can hold on those.

There is nothing fancy about this place, but we could not be happier with their care. Our loved one is treated well, fed well, kept safe - even during COVID - and most importantly shown incredible kindness by the staff. She feels loved and cared for and that means the world to us!
