Oaks at Gracemont was a great place. Everything was good about it and we would have taken mom there. We liked the smallness, the cleanliness, and pretty much everything about it. The staff was genuinely helpful. They had a hair salon and a gym.

We will be moving into Oaks at Grace Mont. We chose it because of the location. We were able to get a villa rather than an apartment, so that was good. It was close to where we wanted to be. The rooms were spacious, and the person that gave us the tour was very thorough and very friendly. We did not take a meal there. It's out in the country. They have very spacious grounds that are well-kept and manicured. They have all sorts of things going on every day. They have trips and various clubs. We didn't partake in any of those because we have only been there a couple of times. It was just to look at the villa and see what it looked like so we would know what furniture to take with us.

It had a beautiful ambiance and surroundings, the outside was beautiful. What did not sit well with us was that we went in and there was no one out for activities. It was beautiful but not active, and that's not what dad needed. The room they showed us was lovely, we saw a model room which was beautiful. Nobody was going to the dining area at the time, though the staff said they have activities and they showed us their activity book but there were only like 10 people signed up.

I was very impressed. It's a nice, full-service assisted living that is two or three years old. They had a closed-in garden and places for those in the memory group to get outside without restrictions. They can walk around the garden area. It was new, so it was very bright, and the furnishings were all attractive. It presented very well. The security and responsiveness of the staff were impressive. The people I met were friendly.

I liked it. It was relatively brand new, neat, and nice, and it made a good impression when you saw it. They had a pond in front of some of the buildings with a sidewalk around it. They were one-story and you had a window that looked right out on the pond. The rooms were very nice, and there was a garage behind the building so that you could get a one-car garage if you wanted. It was a little further out from the city of Cumming.

They are very good about keeping me posted on how my Dad is doing. If there are issues, they call me to let me know. They make sure he is in a safe environment.

My father-in-law has a one-bedroom apartment, and he has been there for two months. It is clean, and it didn't smell like urine. It has a lake in the middle of it, and it is very serene. He feels like he is not closed in. The grounds are well kept. He has cerebral palsy, and it is large enough that he could move around in his power wheelchair. It has a roll in shower, and he can also get into his closet. The people were friendly. The food was good, which he loves. They do a physical activity in the morning, and they have projects that they work on. They made wreaths for the doors for the holidays. He actually bakes with the ladies. They have a library that he can go into and they watch the races and football games together. One of the biggest things that stand out is with him having cerebral palsy, they gave him a lot of his independence back. When we went for the interview, the head nurse took time to talk to me and my husband. She was able to straighten out his medication because we were having trouble with the other pharmacy. So to me, getting the billing straightened out and the way they were ordering the medicine was a good idea, it worked wonderfully. They are allowed a lot of free movement, which I think is good. They do take them places.

It was a convenient location; it was only 8 miles from our home. It was as good as the other places. My parents-in-law moved in there about a month ago. The whole place is very nice too. They have available selections of rooms. I had several meals there and the food was basically good. The grounds were well-kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There’s exercise in the morning, a walking club, and they go on trips to restaurants and sightseeing trips.

My grandmother is in care at this facility currently and I just completed visiting her daily for the past week, including the weekends. The quality of care being provided exceeded my expectations by far and deserves to be recognized. During this time period, I had the pleasure of being able to interact with a cluster of staff at varying levels and performing very different functions. I continued to be impressed with all the staff members I was able to interact with at all levels. I found the nursing staff to be courteous, attentive, and compassionate in terms of the various services they are providing daily to your client population. They have quite a stressful challenge and appear to deal w/ it successfully w/ patience, commitment, and compassion. Not only are the nursing staff responsible for the minute to minute medical care that the clients require , they also have to assist w/ meal activities in a very active manner. In closing, needless to say, I was beyond impressed w/ the quality of care being delivered at this facility; I found the surroundings, the staff, and the quality of care to be exceptional. You all should feel very proud of what you are doing to nurture our elder community.
