I live at Smoky Springs by Barclay House. The community is beautiful. It's perfect. They have a physical therapist there. They have a great big library. They have a salon that cuts your hair. I have a one-bedroom apartment. It's got a nice big bathroom and a big shower. The bedroom is huge with a big window that if we put my wife's bed right alongside the window, she'll be able to look out the window. We have a porch, and a nice, big living room. We have a small kitchen with no stove. We have a microwave, a refrigerator, and freezer. We had to bring our two chairs, some tables, the TVs, and stuff like that. It's got wood floors in the living room. It's got a nice carpet in the bedroom. We have a renowned chef and she's great. The food is good. We have drinks at lunch, dinner, and breakfast. It is a combination all the time. They always have peaches and cottage cheese. They always have three or four different salads and for dessert, they have either a piece of cake, ice cream, or a cookie. The staff will do anything that they can for you. They have a wonderful staff. They have activities. They have music. They have performers come in. A couple of people in there play the piano. They have balloon volleyball. I've never been to the activities, but a friend of mine says that it's pretty nice. It's quiet. Nobody's screaming and hollering. Everybody's happy here. It's a nice place.

We toured Smoky Springs by Barclay House. The dining room area almost mimics a very nice hotel because they have a game room, an exercise room, and a beauty shop. You can look out over the parking lot or choose a room that looks out over the greenery and watch the deer and animals out there. The smell is like they have a hidden flower somewhere because I walked into one of the areas and there was a light fragrance. The laundry room, the kitchen, and everything was just nice. They have the elevators for people who don't want to use the stairs. They have one bedroom. They also have two bedrooms. They have three different sizes of studios. My daughter and I were very impressed. They invited us to stay for lunch and we ate with the residents, and it was very pleasant. They put a menu out every night. They give you a choice because my daughter and I had different things so that we could taste each other's food to see what it was like. I have no complaints about the food. It was quite tasty. The staff was very helpful. The activity director, Susan showed us all the different activities that they have. They even have a religious ceremony, which is neutral. They come in on Sunday for anybody who wants to participate. They have a Bible group that comes in once a week. They had a piano player and a guy that sings and he was entertaining them. The residents were taken out on excursions throughout the week for different things.

I love the new company that has invested in Smokey springs. You can tell they really care and work with our director. The general manager is doing an awesome job and I am glad she has the support she needs fron corporate. This is such a fantastic place in a great vacation area. If you need to have your doctor come here that service is available here. There is physical and occupational therapy on site. Now it is independent living, but there are enough supports in place that you can really enjoy your life without having to depend on family members. I have been here going on three years and love it. I had a wonderful experience with them. The staff was very friendly and very nice. The food was very good and very tasty. I enjoyed it. It was laid out well. I had a studio and it was always nice and clean, with a very nice bathroom. They had things to do like card games, music, balloon volleyball, and others. Overall, I liked it. I would always go back there if I needed to.

We just moved in. I like the down-to-earth people and the way everybody gets along so well. The staff is great. They have really good food. They have activities, but we just moved in today, so we don't know anything much about it. We have just a little kitchenette. They have a balcony and walking paths.

I visited, and they're very nice and pleasant people. The living conditions were quite good, so it seemed to be a pretty good place. The staff was very welcoming and very open. The apartment had good lighting and was about a medium size. Due to COVID, they were on lockdown at that time, so it was quieter. They had their face masks on and followed good social distancing, so it was pretty good.

My parents love it here. They're doing really well. Their life is much better there than it was at home. It's big. It has a beautiful common area, a beautiful dining room, and its hallways are carpeted, which I really like. Everything's very clean and very updated. We really like it a lot. They have lots of activities. They go on trips, they go to restaurants, they do tai-chi, they sing church songs, there's a movie night in the TV room, they have an artist that comes in and does classes, they play bingo, and balloon volleyball. The food is great. We're very happy with it.

Mother is here. I think they're terrific. The people are nice, and I haven't found anything to complain about. I would certainly recommend it to someone. The rooms and dining rooms were nice, and the food tasted good. Everything seemed to be fine.

It was 70 miles away from us, but it’s spacious, and the food was very good. The accommodations were also good. They have pretty good program, physical therapy, and they had a pool. They had a qualified water therapist, and that was certainly a plus. If that one had been 25 miles, I thought mom probably would have chosen that one. When she and my wife visited, the staff really went out of their way to really make it a great visit, and my mother was very impressed with it.

It is a great place. Mother stayed there. They had a laundry room that she could use. It was a very nice room. It was clean and neat. 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment. My memory is that the dining room was great. Service was good. I would recommend Smoky Springs to anyone.
