I was at my lowest looking for a place for my mom. I called the Landings on a Friday and the voice on the other end sounded so friendly. When I told her I was calling from out of town she said no problem. She asked if I mind if she called from her cell phone so she could give me a tour of the community, No one had offered me that before. As she walked around the staff seemed so happy, the patients were playing bingo! The room that she showed me would be perfect for my mom . I just wanted to thank Ms. Carr for taking the time out of her day to make my day when I was having such a time. Customer Service goes a long way. Needless to say The Landings will be my first stop when I get to Columbus. C.Wellington

First, I love the location. The Landings is located in a very quiet and serene area with nature as it's neighbor. My mom was treated with excellent and loving care by the entire staff. I want to express my sincere gratitude for nurses Ashley and Dorca. They showered my mother with so much loving care that it left a profound impression on me and my family. Thank you to Director Tracy, Angela, Lisa, Monica and the rest of the amazing staff at The Landing. Highly recommend.

My husband has moved into The Landings of Columbus. I like it because when I walk into the place, it feels lively to me. They do things with your loved ones, they celebrate their birthdays, go on outings, and stuff like that. The staff are a lot better than the other places my husband has been in. They are very kind, and they take the time for your loved ones. The staff that I dealt with, when I ask them to do something or whatever, would be right on it. When I brought my husband back from his doctor, his room is nice and clean. They have a dining room area, its formal dining. There's a middle lounge room, and on a TV night, they watch all together. They have a little balcony; they can have a barbecue there. If your loved ones come and visit, you can have a barbecue there.

My mom was a resident at the landings for 3 years. It seemed okay in the beginning. When COVID started, it went to h—l in a hand basket. No one was allowed in or out, no way to check on your loved one. Rarely could get anyone on the phone. I went there many a time to deliver meds and could wait up to 30 minutes to see someone. The nurse who was there in the beginning, left. It took quite a while for a replacement to be found. She insisted at one point not to give the meds my mother needed (prescribed by her specialist) because she didn’t agree. Big argument followed. She quit very suddenly and again a new replacement. Can’t remember the new nurse as still because of COVID we could not get in. I had also seen online that there was COVID at the facility but the manager denied this. Said he was not at the facility but in a hospital!! There is not appropriate space to take your loved on out in a garden or good patio. The only patio that was open was downstairs where all the residents smoked! Terrible. When I asked about the patio upstairs that was locked, I was told it was unsafe! Well, then make it safe! At the end of my mom’s life, she was sent to the hospital. She was so sick it made me sick to see her. She was transferred to hospice where she past away. No one, not one person from the facility came to see her or even send a card or flowers! So disappointing. If you see her death certificate, you would be appalled by the list of reasons why she past away. Neglect was one of the main factors! I know COVID ruined a lot for many, but the way the Landings handled it all was SO BAD. I would send anyone there I care about. I have more complaints about them, but I hope these give a good idea of how bad they are. I wish I’d never put my mom there.

My review is about the overall experience. My loved one died under their care with Covid 19. I learned about it as he was dying. No acknowledgement or condolences from them. How sad! The care was substandard, don’t take the risk I did. There were 3 people who were not directly involved with his care who showed compassion and I thank them

My mother is now living in The Landings of Columbus. They provide assisted living and memory care. It seems to be very good. The staff does everything right, takes really good care of the people and helps them out. My mom got her fingernails polished yesterday by one of the ladies. They call you for all of the activities, they come to your door. The meals are good from what I've seen, and they encourage the residents to go down to eat and so forth. What I've seen so far, it seems to be very good or excellent, she gets her meds on time and they come around. I think they're doing a wonderful job. Considering that all the people there are different, they seem to take care and notice them and so forth. My mom said the meals are really good. The place is not super high-class, but it's definitely clean and neat, and they do their best to take care of it. They do activities, crafts, there's a concert the other day that my mom enjoyed. The value for money is definitely excellent.

My cousin moved into moved into the Landings, and I liked the service. They have all kinds of activities, they get three meals a day plus snacks, they do housekeeping, and they do laundry. So far, Ive been very pleased with what Ive seen. Theyre very nice and very helpful.

We used respite care at Manor House Senior Living of Columbus for my aunt. It's so convenient since it's only a mile away, and very bright and cheerful. She had a good experience with it, and we'd go there again. They delivered her meds, assisted her in bathing, had meals, and did her housekeeping.

The new Executive Director is rude and unpleasant!!! She is not welcoming at all. The facility is ok however smells of urine at times because they don't have a housekeeper to keep the place clean and sanitize.

never put your loved one in this place!! Dad ran out of meds they told no one. Cant keep a staff. The staff they have is bad bad bad. They try and put a good face on for a new family coming to visit but trust me it is not like that. talk to the other people living there before you move anyone it. oh, they raise the rent up almost double of some people and made them move out. did'nt care who or if they had a place to go. They let workers spend the night in empty rooms while working on building. That's not the worst part.....they had beer the whole time. I could go on and on but whats the point. Please double check this place out.

Great staff. It is 3 floors so I'm not sure why someone stated it was small and tight. Quiet and hidden location away from loud traffic!

We’re real pleased with Oxton Place of Green Island. It’s a nice, clean facility at a fair price and good value. My mother-in-law is engaged and really happy with all of the activities. They keep her busy with tea parties, games, and exercise. Her room is nice. Awhile back, I had lunch with her, and the food was good, and she likes it.

Oxton Place of Green Island was a nice, small place under new management, so there's a lot of changes occurring. The staff showed us everything we needed to see. The rooms looked nice but were small. They had an activity calendar, but we did not spend a lot of time discussing that. They were rearranging a lot of stuff when we were there, so we did not see much.

The rooms at Oxton Place of Green Island were very small. They weren't prepared for me when I arrived, even though I had an appointment. I did not have a problem with the lady who gave me the tour. I just wasn't impressed with the place because of the room size and the cost, but the staff was fine and the atmosphere was good.

I looked at Oxton Place. I didn’t like it at all. It made me feel old going in there. It was very small. It didn’t have air; it was too tight. I only met one person, and he was nice. He showed me around. The room seemed like an older place.

I liked the people that I met in and the look of Oxton Place. I thought the rooms were of a good size and liked the dining area. It's expensive for people at that stage in their life where they're living on their retirement and the insurance doesn't cover anything. They're way too expensive, but their working attitude was good.

Oxton Place was really good. The only concerns I had about that one was that the rooms and closet space were very small, and they only have one caregiver during their night shift. This was a very small facility for memory care that was limited to about 12 residents. They only had one caregiver at night, and I don’t think that was enough. They have a beauty shop and a place for physical therapy. They were assisted living and had an additional unit for memory care, so their memory care people would share space with assisted living people, like the separate, big room for activities. All of that was really nice, and the facility itself was nice. They had outdoor parking and a covered area for drop offs. I don’t think that they had enough staff to work with the number of residents, and the rooms were very small. My mother and father would be there and that room was much too small for two people, but I liked everything else.

I'm at Summer's Landing. It is very pleasant. The food is alright. They have a good number of activities, but I'm not quite up to taking part in them because I'm in a wheelchair.

We chose Summer's Landing for my mother because they had good recommendations. It is close to where my mom lives. Also, my brother lives there, so he is able to see her everyday. The director is outstanding and very conscientious. Their cooking is terrible, but they said they had to follow some kind of government thing. They had two great cooks when I put my mother in there and the cooking was good. Those cooks left and the people there now are not really professional cooks. The food that they're feeding the residents is actually terrible. We are taking our mother to dinner at other places because the food there is not fit for consumption. The rooms are very clean and very nice. They're very good. My mother is in a smaller room. She has living room furniture and a bedroom. She has a refrigerator there. In terms of activities, they have church services. They have gospel singers who come in and sing old hymns that the older generation knows. They have games and Bingo. They take them out shopping. They have a bus and a van. My mom loves it. Someone comes and fixes their hair, their nails, etc. It is outstanding. The staff checks on my mom. They look after her.

my mother in law stayed at the veranda in columbus ga while i was on vacation for 11 days. Every employee was helpful, caring, and friendly. She enjoyed her stay , she played bingo went on a trip to the river walk, daily devotionals, exercise , nails done and she enjoyed the food and the fact that if she didnt want to get up early they would bring her breakfast later. She said she will not mind going back and will be doing so in about a month. We enjoyed the people there so much that my mother, mother and law and myself do a volenteer beading class there now.Thank you so much for the caring staff and the great care you gave my mother in law

This place is so awful the place is dirty and smells. The residents are so unhappy and bore. They over medicate the residents to keep them confuse and to sleep all day. They give frozen tv dinners for meals they don't help with meals , grooming, dressing, housekeeping and laundry. I just rescue my mother from this terrible place her toe nails are 2 inches long and overgrown to the sides. Her teeth /dentures have rotten in her mouth as she never took them out,Now has sores all inside her mouth, she is going blind and deaf all because the Veranda had her on 6 yes 6 diffrent drugs which made her daze and confuse and unable to care for herself.. All she did was sleep. Her room was dirty, she slept with her street clothes on. Her nails were overgrown and she had facial hair a lot of it, her hair was knotted and dirty her room smell of pee. This was on a Sunday and only 2 nurses were there when I complain of my mother's condition, her poor hygiene, dirty and smelly room her sheets were so dirty. I was told that my mother was capable of taking care of herself and chose to live that way. My mother fell and hit her head and hurt her back it took them over 3 days to bring her to a doctor and they would not give her a ice pack as I ask they said she had to buy it herself. They charge her for everything, transportation and a babysitter they call it. They keep her checkbook and debit card from her and all bank statments. She is allow her debit card only to pay bills. She signs blank checks when told. She has no phone, TV, or radio in her room as her roomate does not like these things. They both sleep all day.I ate dinner with my mom and was disgusted by the dirty walls, tableclothes, glassware, and seats. I could hardly eat everything was of a frozen kind so so bad thousands a month for what? I rescue my mom from this...please don't put your love one there and if you do please visit weekly if not your love one will be over medicated and inorge. ... My poor 86 year old mother is a sight. Don't let your love one be ABUSE take a stand. ...Read their yearly reports and you'll see what I mean. Health and Human Services didn't help me nor did the local Osbudsman or even my mother's Advocate. They play dumb and act blind it's all a big joke to them. Take my warning. PLEASE! Run from this place as fast as you can. Georgia you should be ashamed!
