My cousin is at the Legacy Reserve at Old Town. It's been wonderful. They're very professional. They immediately did the evaluation and got her in very quickly. Since she has been there, she has improved 100%. She's been able to feed herself and now she's walking. She wasn't able to walk very well at all. We're extremely happy with the place. I couldn't be happier with the care that she's received. She's in the memory center. They're very caring and very easy to get in touch with and communicate with. They're the ones that contacted us after she got there and said that they thought she'd benefit from some physical therapy and they've gotten physical therapy people out there and gotten paperwork done. I can't say enough good things about them. I haven't eaten the food, but she's eating and she's gained weight since she's been there, so obviously she's eating and doing well with the food. They're beautiful. It's brand new. It's not been there very long. It is newly built and has unbelievable amenities. We can go out there with her and take her around. There are a lot of outdoor areas. There's a saltwater pool for her that she could get into if she could. There's a couple of places there that you can eat, so you can take her out of the memory center and you can go and eat with her there or take her to eat there in the restaurant. There's a bar because there's an independent living facility there, too. There are several different places. There's a library, a salon and lots of amenities. They do activities with her. They play bingo, they go on field trips, they play games, they do crafts, they watch movies, and they've done her nails she's been there. They do lots of things. It's not cheap, but I think you get what you pay for. We had her in another cheaper place, but she was not getting the attention and the staff was not attentive enough to her. We're getting more care and more attention and more amenities. We're paying more, but I think we're getting more. The staff is really good. The lady over at the memory center is very good. They've been great. It's been a perfect place for her.

My mother was a resident at Legacy Reserve at Old Town just shy of two months. We took her out because of the treatment she was getting. She had gotten to where she didn't want to be alone. We installed camaras in her room soon after she moved in because things just didn't seem right. My family was with her 90% of the time during day, so we wanted to see what happens when we weren't there. 1-the residents that need assistance going to bed are in bed as early as 5:15 pm. 2-They began serving breakfast as early as 7:30 am. Normally, the residents are in the dining room in a timely manner. But, when certain workers were there, she was not able to get out of bed until 9:00 and was told they would bring her breakfast to her, the same for the rest of the meals that day. She would ask to get up and they would tell her they were busy. It got the point that she didn't want to go to bed for fear no one would get her up in the morning. When needing to go to the bathroom, she would push her button to call them. They would come turn the buzzer off and walk out. 3-The hallway she was on was always hot. The entire building was cool except for this section. It was so uncomfortable that we purchased a fan for her room. I could go on and on. I will say the two hardest working and most professional ladies there are Barbara and Michelle in the 2nd floor dining room. The front desk ladies are awesome as well.

I toured Legacy Reserve at Old Town. What I liked best was the very caring people who worked there and spoke to me. The staff was wonderful. She knew exactly what I felt. The facility was very clean and the structure was new. It's very good. Everybody was friendly. The room sizes were very accommodating to the needs of the people.

I toured Legacy Reserve at Old Town. It's clean and elegant. The apartment was new, clean, and bright. The staff who toured me around was extraordinarily nice, understanding, and supportive. The food was offered, but it wasn't something I had time to do. With regards activities, I saw some people doing crafts, some people watching movies together, and some people in the restaurants and the cafe together.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town is a beautiful community with Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. There are so many amenities: Indoor heated therapeutic saltwater pool, Fitness Center, Movie Theater, Hair salon, Library, Fine Dining, Private Dining, A Bistro and a Bar on the 2nd floor. I was told that they are the only retirement community in the state of Georgia that has a full-service bar. Also there is always activities 7 days a week to keep the community active. The staff was friendly, helpful and ready to take care of you and your family.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town was beautiful. It was modern and had high ceilings and gray walls. You have your own kitchen and your own washer and dryer. It had more outdoor space. It's right next to a beautifully landscaped community called Old Town, and we could walk over there. The biggest perk for me is that we could take advantage of the property next door even. They had a pool in the facility, which I loved. When we walked in, it was beautiful. My sister lives in a beautiful upscale penthouse apartment in Atlanta and it was just like her place. Somebody was playing classical piano upstairs. They offered us water that was infused with berries and it was nice. They're very trendy, progressive, and modern. They have a sports bar. You didn't feel like you were in an independent living place. You almost felt like you were in a nice apartment community or an upscale hotel.

We toured Legacy Reserve at Old Town. The tour went well. They're going to asses my mom tomorrow. The living atmosphere was very friendly, clean, and nice. They had a painting class going on. They had an exercising area, and there were families gathered at the little bistro eating. It was nice. The rooms were clean, and they have a good bit of room. They were pretty spacious. The staff were very friendly and they're a lot better than what I've come across at other places. They're on top of everything. I've been going through this for almost a year now, and this is the best service and the friendliest environment that I've dealt with, so it's pretty nice.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town was nice and very upscale. We looked at the independent living, but they have assisted living and memory care, all in the same facility. Several of the rooms we looked at were recently occupied by people who had been moved into the assisted living area. We met one gentleman who was in the assisted living care now, and he was out waiting on his son to show up. They have very nice facilities. They have a bar, they have a liquor license there and they have a nice workout area, and they have a pool. So everything was very upscale and very new. Of all the ones we've seen, this place is the best. The person giving the tour was good, she was prepared for everything. They have a theater, a room for families so you could come in and reserve a room to have dinner with your family or party. All the apartments open onto a courtyard, it was very nice and very exclusive. You can only get through there through one of the downstairs rooms, or the surrounding apartments. So there's no outside access to that area, which was nice. They got a lot of extra parking, which was good, as most places are kind of pay-for-parking. It's just more expensive than most of the other places we saw, but you get nice things. She liked the apartments that were on the second floor overlooking the courtyards. Because she could be in the shade, and look down but not have to have people around the outside of her room. They also have washers and dryers in the rooms.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town was very nice. I checked out their assisted living and their memory care, but they also got the senior living only. The food was excellent. They have a superior chef and I had a chance to meet him. There was just a lot of walking. They're on three different stories and you have to take the elevator to go to different places. It can be kind of hard to maneuver for some, but for someone who's still fully functioning and doesn't mind the walking part, that would be a nice place to go. They were well-maintained and it was newer. So, they're still getting the program up and running and the price was extremely good. They have a very nice lounge area, happy hour where live musicians come and play from their balcony (that's in the lobby area), and acoustics that is just wonderful. It was like I was on a cruise ship. You can get food all day long if you want to.

I toured Legacy Reserve Old Town. My dad's old school, and Legacy Reserve is a little bit too flashy. If I had to go in a retirement community, I would jump all over Legacy Reserve. They have a sports bar. But they're high dollar. It would have cost my dad $3,500 a month to stay there. They have memory care, independent living, and assisted living. They have everything. It is a brand-new place. The dining area is really nice. The staff members are very, very good, very nice, and very friendly. The place was spotless. The main reason we chose another place over Legacy Reserve is that Legacy does not allow smoking anywhere on the grounds. That was the number one reason because my dad is a smoker.

I loved everything about Legacy Reserve at Old Town, except for the price, but the staff was perfect. They're excellent. The halls were like six or seven feet. I love that it has a bistro, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a beauty parlor. They actually did an open house, so I tried the food and it was good.

My tour of Legacy Reserve at Old Town did not disappoint. It's located in the back of Old Town surrounded by nature and no busy traffic. I found it so peaceful and serene. I was greeted by the sweetest lady at the front desk named Angie, she had me sign in and then I met the marketing director Mark who was very friendly and went out of his way to made sure I had all the information about the community. Everything was picture perfect and just what my father would ever want in a new home. They have an indoor heated pool and their Academy director Ms. Jamie was actually teaching a water aerobics class when we toured. They have a fitness room, a theater, a hair salon and a library/media room and academy where they make and create crafts and paint projects. They also have their very on bar located on the 2nd floor. I was told that they are the only retirement community in the state of Georgia that has it's on bar. I was very impressed with the Fine dining director Joey. We had a great conversation in the bar while their bartender Jonathan made me a Jack and coke. He explained the different food venues that they have located at Legacy. From the casual dining in the Whitewater Bistro, to the fine dining in McCuller's and the laid back atmosphere of Bernard's bar. You can also book their private dining room for family gatherings. On my way out I met the Executive Director Laura who was so kind to answer any questions I might have and even gave me her card just incase I might need to ask her something that I may have forgotten to ask. I have never felt so comfortable with a group of individuals in my life. This will be my dad's new forever home and I will be visiting often so I can soak up some of this wonderful hidden treasure that Columbus, Ga has to offer.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town was A+. The staff was a little bit older and mature. They were my age, middle age maybe (between 35 and 45). It had assisted living, independent care, and also the mental component. Once I pay the fee, then that was it. There's a one-time community fee, and I love that everything is inclusive. I like their attention to detail and their accommodations for everything they had. When I told them some of the things that my mom may push back, they agreed to be kind of firm. Not saying bossy, but making sure that she takes her medication and she does her physical therapy. Putting things in place to help her do what she needs to do and not let her slide, especially with her medication and medical treatment. The restaurant, the facility, and the accomdations were nice. Everything was a 5. It was organized, neat, and clean.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town is amazing. They thought of everything. It's beautiful. I think that my family member is going to be very happy there. The staff was wonderful, very enthusiastic, just very helpful, and very informative. They were great. They have restaurants, a coffee shop, bistro, fine dining, hair salon, a theater, a swimming pool, exercise rooms, a library, a family room with a fireplace, TVs, pool table, a porch overlooking the woods, and they have storage in case you need it. They have a place where you can store whatever won't fit in your room.

I toured Legacy Reserve at Old Town and it was really good. The facility was new so all that was good. The tour was good and was very informative. They have swimming pools, two or three different places to eat, and a beauty salon. They have everything pretty much.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town was very beautiful. My friend will be moving in there soon. The services that they give are just remarkable. The building is very beautiful, it's brand new, and the staff is wonderful. It's a very friendly environment. I've only seen the memory care rooms for people with Alzheimer's. They also have a swimming pool, a beauty salon, and a little cafe. The dining area is like you're going to a high-end restaurant.

I visited Legacy Reserve at Old Town. The place is very new and the price is reasonable. The people there are very friendly, we just liked everything about them. My cousin is going to move in on February 15th. The room was a 1-bedroom and we liked it because they have an oven. They serve two meals, but you can cook if you wanted to cook, especially since she's Korean, and she'll be able to cook Korean food. It's got a lot of kitchen cabinets, space, and a refrigerator is a full size. It's really clean. They were very friendly and very helpful. When you go over there, they check the temperature and everybody has to wear masks. The dining area is also very clean and they social distanced. They had three places to eat over there. One restaurant is called Bistro, and you can go there every time you wanna eat. They have a dining area where you can go and make a reservation to eat the food, but I don't know if you have to pay for that or not. And then one place, the restaurant, which includes the price. If you go to that place, I think you have to make a reservation and then you have to pay I think.

Legacy Reserve at Old Town is like a five-star resort. It's absolutely beautiful. Our tour was wonderful. Everybody was very kind. They showed us around the entire facility and explained everything about all the different features, how the tenants were treated, the staffing that they had on hand, what was available to my mother, and how they were handling things regarding COVID. We saw a few rooms to make a selection. It was very thorough. We learned what would happen going forward with any of their activity directors, and we met one of the residents. It was very nice. One of the main reasons that we chose is it because they have a geriatrician on-site to help care for the residents as well as 24-hour registered nurse and CNA, so they have resources there that we felt would be very beneficial for my mother while she was there. We also liked the ease of being able to move for her, she wouldn't be just sitting in a room, there were many outdoor spaces, an indoor heated pool, things of that nature that she could take part of if she wanted to, and the fact that it's about ten minutes from where I live, so it's very easy and close. They have four restaurants, but she could order things to be delivered to her room. Right now, because of COVID, they're not necessarily eating in their restaurants as far as a whole group, but there was a small area on each floor where the residents had access to a full kitchen that they could be assisted using if they wanted to, and they could eat there safely or they could just be in their room and things could be delivered to them. It's brand new, and it's appointed very nicely and very comfortably. Every place we went, all the different rooms, the library, things of that nature that they had available to the residents, were very comfortable. The one benefit that I had at Legacy is she got a life rate lock, so the pricing that we will be paying is locked into life. It will not go up. In addition to the staff being very kind and answering questions and being very supportive and just watching them interact with other residents while we were there, they also gave me their personal cell phone numbers to contact them at any time for any reason, which was very comforting.

I am interested in Legacy Reserve at Old Town. It's where I would probably go, but I would like to consider a community that's a lot less costly. I like it because they have rooms or apartments that have their own entrance and exit. I doubt by the time I'm ready to move that one of them would be available, but that's what I would like to have. I like freedom of going in and out without walking down the hallways. I have difficulty with my breathing so a lot of walking is hard for me. They have three different restaurants within the facility to have your meals, and the big highlight is they have a heated indoor pool. The only way I can do exercise is in the water. It does not hurt my breathing if I'm in the water. I can move very quickly, like jogging in the water. That is what I want, but the price a month is very steep. The apartments looked nice, not real spacious, but I can understand why they're not real spacious. They were impressive. The staff member during the tour was informative and helpful. They'd only been up a few weeks when I visited, and they only had 25 residents at the time. They had happy hour and no charge for the drinks. I wish there was something similar to that that was less costly.
