Farrfield Manor is an apartment community for Seniors 62 years and older with rent based on income. They have a Full-time Social Service Coordinator who helps each resident based upon their needs with services, however the community is an independent living apartment community. They have beautiful total electric one bedroom one bath apartments over a 3 story building with 2 elevators. This community is far above any other affordable housing community in the area.

Farrfield Manor is nice and secure. They have a nice end apartment. They don't have a dining room though. The staff that I met there was really nice when they showed me around. I was really impressed because it didn't have that senior apartment smell. The carpeting was really nice and clean. They have rails in the shower which I liked. They even have nice ceiling fans. In the apartment, they have installed fire alarms and smoke detectors.

I have previously volunteered at this facility, once before and as soon as you walk into the facility, you're welcomed by the happy facility. The atmosphere is warm, and happy, with beautiful colors all over the walls. As you walk through the hallways, you see the happy faces of all the residents, not one resident looking like they would rather be somewhere else. The residents that do not understand the English language, have friends or people that can help then communicate with the other residents. For older residents however, I feel like an inconvenience is the fact that the resident community does not have an apparent elevator, leaving some residents limited to walking up the stairs. The people that are current employees do come off with a mean "face" or an attitude, which makes me, not want to approach them. But when you speak to them, their faces automatically become lit and happy. I would recommend this facility.
