Facility raised monthly cost by $700 per month after only one year. Laundry service is intermittent. Lots of complaints about the food from my parent. Laundry gets lost. You have to scream to get them to change a light bulb or smoke detector battery. Rooms are not cleaned regularly. Carpets are dirty in hallways. No bargain here. Activities are minimal and residents are not given a hand out monthly of what’s an available. Promised weekly outings are empty promises. When management is confronted about these issues they act like they hever heard about it before or they are nonchalant about it so it feels like they just don’t care. Nursing staff seems fine. But the bad outweighs the good. Hard to find the positive about this facility. Corporate personnel have the same crappy attitude. Not interested in retaining residents. Communications with management and corporate are difficult at best. Their attitude is like it or leave it. Horrible in many ways. STAY AWAY.

I went to visit Brickmont of Acworth. It was an excellent experience. The staff was very nice. The facilities were very clean, it's a brand-new facility, it looked very nice. It does have multiple levels. On the bottom levels they have courtyard views, it was very nice, but we didn't choose it because of the multi levels. They have people that come in and play the piano in the dining hall. They had call boxes in a bunch of different places in the rooms. The rooms were a little bit bigger, so they had extra space for outside of the bedroom where you could watch TV, and they had a small kitchenette kind of thing. That was very nice.
