My mom went to Rose Manor. She was there for a month. It was OK. It wasn't the greatest in the world. The care itself was satisfactory. They had somebody on staff all the time. The staff seemed fine. The meals weren't the greatest. They were home-cooked meals. Mom's room was a good size room. It had a bathroom in the room, which was nice. Basically, the facility looked like a big house with separate rooms for each guest. There were a couple of rooms that were dual, but my mom was in a private room. It was clean and neat. They kept it up pretty well. However, there really weren't a lot of activities there. They didn't have scheduled activities. The facility is in a large acreage, and there was not much ground in that area. It was like out on a farm.

Setting back off the road, there is a home away from home for about 8 residents. When you enter this home, you notice that there is one staff member at any given time. The furniture is mismatched and the lighting is dim, but the love and care is obvious. The staff here knows their residents and it shows. The rooms are double occupancy and there is only one shower room. The staff constantly has something going on to occupy their residents. This is a very personable place.

This was a privately owned asst. living facility and was reccomended by a Nurse at the Hospital in Zephyrhills for my Mother. She told me it was the only place she would place someone that she loved. (Her Grandmother was there for quite a while). My Mother got no assisted care from the day staff, and there was only one CNA on duty for 8 residents at night. I would find pills on the floor in her room that had been dropped, Things were stolen from her room. She became scared of her roomate as she tried to beat her up one day. I quit my job, brought her back to her home and moved in with her!!!! So glad that I did as we became very close that last year of her life.
