My husband is a memory care resident of Generations Senior Living at Lake Miona. It's almost like a group home. They have six residents maximum, they have two CNAs around the clock, they have a doctor and a nurse on staff, and they have an activities director. It's wonderful. They make the family come in and feel very welcome, the food is wonderful, and the CNAs are fantastic. I can't say enough about this place, and I can't believe I was fortunate enough to find it and take the last vacancy they had. The activities director comes three days a week and they have different activities. The medical team: a husband and wife, doctor, and nurse manage the medications, and they're on call if there's a need. So far we're just extremely happy. It's lovely, it's a lock-down facility, and you have to come in and out with a code.

The rooms are filthy and dingy and dark. The food is horrible my husband and all the residents would get 3oz of soup with pretzels and Fritos. They would feed them at 3:30 pm and put the patients to sleep or in their rooms from 5:00 till 9:00 am without food or water. During the day the caregivers would line the residents up in front of the T.V in cloth recliners covered in urine that could not be cleaned. The bathrooms were dirty. The toilets over flowed all the time. There is a sign that says don’t throw toilet paper in the toilets. These are memory care patients, where are they to throw used toilet paper? The yard is not safe for patients. They had rotted wood benches with rusty nails sticking out of them. I was paying 6300.00/month. They did not have a working dishwasher. I would be called almost everyday to tell me my husband fell. He lost a tooth when he feel, nobody mentioned that. My husband was beat up he had two black eyes and black and blue nose. Bruises all over his arms and legs. I had to call the police so I could get an incident report. Supposedly they had cameras in the house but didn’t provide any film to the police. They tried to blame another resident who did not have one mark on him.The caregivers would be on their cell phones all day. My husband was given medication that was not recommended for the type of dementia he has. He walked into Generations at the end of December, and was so drugged he was in a wheelchair when he left in March. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, your loved one will not be taken care of.

Very nice place. Was in the area looking for senior care options for a relative. This was one that definitely stood out. I could only give 15 minutes notice that I wanted to take a tour, but they accommodated, were friendly on the phone, provided driving directions, as the rental car didn't have GPS. The room was spacious, modern, clean. We caught them in the middle of an activity with music on ipads- looked fun! Nice patio area and very comfortable. They did not have openings at the time of my visit, but there is a waiting list, which we're now on.

Went on a bus tour of about 6 ALFs near The Villages. This one stood out by far as the best Memory Care facility around. The facility is nice, but the concept of having personalized care was radically different than the large institutional facilities. If you're looking for Memory Care near The Villages start here first and if they have availability take it.

My mom is a longtime resident and we are thrilled with the care that she receives. She has made lasting friendships with residents and staff. We know she is in great hands.

The best Memory Care in The Villages. I've heard it from others and have seen it myself. Recommended by both our primary care physician and neurologist. Even our pharmacy had heard of them and said Generations is the best provider of Memory Care in the area.

This is the very best Memory Care Assisted Living facility anywhere near The Villages. Staff are very well trained and very service-oriented. Management responds to inquiries and the facility is meticulously maintained.
