My mother has moved into AdviniaCare Venice. I think it's great. I like the place a lot. The people are helpful and very caring, friendly, and attentive. The food is excellent. I've eaten there three times, and all three were good, so I was happy about that. There's an outdoor courtyard, which is nice. There's a little gazebo out there. In the front, when you enter, there's a pond with koi fish and a waterfall, which is beautiful and the seniors like to sit out there, so it's a nice gathering spot. What's nice when you enter is there's the main desk, so you're greeted by people and they always ask if they can help you, so they're very helpful. Then you're in the main living room, and I call it the great room, and that's where they do a lot of activities with the people. Right off of that is an arts and crafts room and a dining room. Everything is located well for the seniors, so they don't have to travel far. They always have activities going on during the day and a lot of participation from the seniors that are there. They play bingo, they do arts and crafts, they made Mardi Gras masks, and they do things for the holidays. They do games for their brains, like asking trivial questions. I like it. The rooms are nice, too. Cleanliness and maintenance are excellent. It's spotless and always clean. I did ask the maintenance people to do two things, and they were on it right away. They're great.

Understaffed, poor communication from the nurse. Time sensitive medications were not given when scheduled they were given an hour and 10 minutes late. The patient has Parkinson’s and delaying medication administration has serious side effects and issues for the patient.

My parents will be moving into AdviniaCare Venice. As they age they'll be able to go through all of the levels of care at the same place, and that was important to them. I liked that the staff there didn't have a high turnover. They showed us a model room that had 350 square feet with a little kitchenette, two closets, and a bathroom. I actually sat there yesterday filling out my paperwork and watched the residents do trivia, and then there was a scavenger hunt going on while I was sitting in the lobby.

You must constantly advocate for the care of your loved one otherwise they will not be given basic care - bathing, grooming, medications. Staff at all levels need training. Do yourself a favor and research alternatives.

The Residences of Advinia Care Venice was too expensive and the rooms were way too small. There was nobody there to do an interview when I went. The maintenance man took me around, but he was perfectly fine. I didn't have a problem with that. They were very nice. The lady called me this morning that wasn't there yesterday who normally does the tours and asked me about it and I told her it was pricier than what was implied to me. She says some of them are workable, but I said it's not gonna go down to what I've got before. I had a $3800 and theirs was like $3300 or $3200 or something, and then they had a $3000 community fee and all these other fees that were attached to it. The people were nice. It could stand some upgrading, but the grounds were great. I'm very familiar with it because I walk past it all the time, though it's not so much now because of the storm. It was a little more dated than I had expected, but they've been there a long time. I've seen them change their name three times. They were all very friendly and they covered the meals. I liked their meal plan better than the other place I'd gone to. It was good. I saw one of the apartments. The lady said, "I have them all dressed up, so you could see what furniture you could get in them." When I walked in the door and turned to the right, there was a tiny refrigerator and a microwave. The kitchenette was hardly a kitchenette. It was a small closet with a small refrigerator. There were no appliances at all. They had no countertops whatsoever. I could not have handled that. Other than that, it was clean and presentable. I'm not going to judge the way the garden looks now. We've always admired it when we went by. The building is kind of cozy. You could walk to anything you wanted. There are shops around the corner and little boutiques, and there's a restaurant within walking distance. The big Publix is across the highway and it's got a walkway. It's in a cozy spot and it is a nice white building with a tram on it. Their big fountain got torn down in the front during the storm, but I know that from passing it every day. As far as cosmetic things, they were fine. The outside surrounding part of it was good. Everything was clean inside, but some parts were a little bit older. I didn't care for their way of eating their meals though. I don't like the cafeteria thing. I prefer to have a smaller group of people eating together than in a big room.

It was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave me a tour of some of the rooms and showed me the menu. I didn't see any of the food. I saw the facilities around. It seemed very clean, and they had nice gardens where we sat out and talked. It seemed like a good place, and the residents seemed happy, so that's a good sign. The layout was fine. Most of the rooms were pretty close together, and it's all enclosed. You don't have to go outside for anything unless you want to.

SKILLED NURSING/REHAB: From the moment my mother arrived, she was family. Her support was incredible. Mom's team included me with decisions and updated me continually. Mom got amazing PT. The whole staff worked so hard to help her go home. Thank you.

My in-laws have moved in. It's very pleasant. One of them is in assisted living and one is in skilled nursing. I have seen it briefly, but with COVID it is almost impossible. I have had some meetings with the staff there. It seems lovely. They're very caring; they're lovely people. I saw the dining area when we got into the entrance and it looked very nice. I have not seen the rooms. At this point, I don't know about their activities. I know my father-in-law plays piano there, but other than that, because of COVID, I have no idea.

It was very nice. It was a very helpful tour. The staff was nice. There were a lot of the usual activities. The food was good. However, it wasn't the right fit for my mom.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. I have been a resident for two months and I have observed how the staff treats residents. The nursing, physical therapy, food, and activities are superb. They treat you so kind and are always enthusiastic about their job. Activities every day and a super clean facility. I would admit my loved ones here because of my experience. GREAT PLACE!

I visited a personal friend here. The atmosphere was good. I got the idea that the residents were happy there. The staff was good, too.

I came about it by looking at the ratings at the Medicare system. This was highly rated. I thought the staff was great. I just visited there in terms of looking at the facility. The rooms are very nice. It is clean and neat. It seems like there are a lot of activities for the residents to do. The staff seems very upbeat.

Our family could not be more pleased with facility and personnel. Dad’s caregivers (Marisol and Beverly) are outstanding! Out of state guests last weekend said: “This place is great!”
