My mom moved to Best Care Senior Living at Punta Gorda LLC. They are amazing. They conduct activities for memory care as well. For instance, on Wednesday, they had a senior prom for memory care, and they decorated it all up and got all their nails and hair done, clothes, live band, and everything. They involve memory care with a lot of the activities that they do, rather than just keeping them locked up in two separate halls and not including them. The facility is very clean. My mom, she's going to the Jack and Jill room, a shared room. Everything's been really good. Considering some of the other facilities I have toured and looked at prices like $4,000 all-inclusive, meals, activities, and everything, I found them fairly reasonable and affordable compared to some of the facilities around. I'm glad I found a place close to home and they're very involved.

I toured Best Care Senior Living of Punta Gorda. It was very well kept up. The only thing I was disappointed in was the guy who was supposed to walk around with me, he pawned off on somebody else, which kind of disappointed me, but other than that it looked like a nice facility. Everybody seemed like they were being taken care of. Their rooms looked very good. They paint the rooms. I think I remember him telling me they'd paint the rooms before somebody comes in there, so it's all freshly painted for the new people that come in. It looked like it was kept up much better than the other place. The maintenance was very good.

My mom is at Best Care in Punta Gorda in their memory care unit. This is the third facility she's been in. This place has been the most well-staffed, clean, and professional I have seen.. She had issues at other places, and yet here, she has been well cared for, and stays calmer and more content. I highly recommend Best Care!

My mom is a resident of Best Care Senior Living of Punta Gorda. The people there are wonderful. They communicate with me, as well as my mom, and they consider her feelings too. It's clean, which I appreciate. I take my mom out to dinner once in a while, but the kitchen staff will still ask her, "Have you eaten? If not, I'll go fix you some food." My mom is happy there, and she's made friends. When she moved in, they made sure to introduce her to people, which I thought was lovely. She will transfer from a large 1-room with the bathroom included, into a smaller room. They said it's about half size with a shared bathroom. So, she has to leave her room to use the restroom or shower. They play bingo. They have a walking club and have music a couple of times a week. They do have a courtyard with a fountain, a large dining room, and an activity room. I think they are too expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it to me, knowing that she's happy.

I had moved my mom to Best Care Assisted Living back in May. It is a blessing to our family to know that she is safe and cared for in a way that would have been impossible for us to do at home. There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe how amazing the staff is in between the care and communication with us. Mom is treated as she is family there. We highly recommend the facility to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation to ours.

Best Care Senior Living of Punta Gorda just didn't seem to be as accommodating. The people were not as friendly and happy to see me. They have a courtyard, but I don't think I was impressed with the rooms.

Best Care Senior Living of Punta Gorda was quite good. They're doing some renovations now, but still managed to go through and show me around. I would choose that one if I were to put my husband to some place, because the lady was very informative as to what I could do. She was excellent. They also have rooms with different sizes that depend on what you want, as well as different levels of care. There's a lot of space, and they have an area where they all congregate, talk, and do things to keep them occupied. It's got a pleasant atmosphere, and it's open. The dining area was quite spacious, too.

I was very upset with this place. They got me. They told me that my family member could live in the assisted living. After we paid they put her in the back (Memory Care). I walked in at times and the floors were full of urine. My mom laid there with a diaper between her legs. Like she was next in line to be changed. Her whole bed soak and wet. Another time my family member wanted juice or some water her mouth was so dry and the CNA said we don't have any back here. They also don't have snacks for the people in the back. All they get is 3 meals a day. That is ridiculous. And the dementia nurse should have her office back where those patients are.

I went to see The Palms of Punta Gorda. We were looking for assisted living for my mom. It's very nice, very clean, and very organized. I met the manager and she's very, very nice and helpful. She also made some recommendations on which companies to work with; she was nice enough to suggest some companies. Her name was Deshea, she was the sales and marketing director, and she was very nice. She told me they have a lot of activities for the residents. They have transportation and therapy staff, and it looks like a very well managed and well run facility. They have spacious, private, and companion-style rooms. They have three restaurant-style, home-cooked meals a day, housekeeping, personal laundry, room service, utilities included, an emergency-response system, an on-site barber and beauty salon, short-term respite care, and therapy. They also have memory care. I just wish that my mom was able to go there, but the company that's taking care of her Medicaid part said they don't provide it in this area.

My dad was here. I liked the place, and my dad was very happy there until he had to go into hospice. It was just a single room and small, but he didn’t care because all he did was sleep. I would consider the staff excellent; they just absolutely loved him. I was there many times when they were eating and sat with him when he ate, and the food was very good. They had stuff going on every single day, but he wasn’t interested.

I lived here since September 1st. The place is super clean, the personnel is very attentive, cooperative, and the facility is reasonably known. I have a private room; which is well-decorated, and furnished. They have transportation for doctor’s appointment. Bingo is the big thing, the food is good, and the dining room is like a restaurant for a table of six.

It was okay. They had a wide variety of activities, but I wasn’t happy about the sizes of the rooms. The staff was good and answered all my questions. It was not what I was looking for, and the privacy issue for two people sharing a room could be improved.

The new building is beautiful and elegant throughout. From the grand entrance to fine restaurant dining room and beautiful artwork, residents have their own apartments with garden and courtyard views. All rooms are large and can accomodate 1 or 2 residents plus furniture easily and has Double closets, en suite bath, and numerous amenity areas such as courtyards, screened outdoor porches, a reading room, wireless security and care associate call devices and many other features. The new building compliments the original, remodeled building which has been which offers memory care and various levels of care if needed without having to relocate.
