Owned and operated by James and Christy (both RN's); The Beach House - Saleh Living turned out to be a prayer answered for our family. Securing assisted living for a family member can be so stressful. My mother-in-law was so well cared for by a professionally trained, compassionate staff who treated her (and her family) lovingly and with respect; like a family member. This small group home (6 bedrooms) is spotlessly clean and well maintained in a quiet neighborhood. The residents are very well attended to based on their needs, all meals are freshly prepared each day in their own kitchen, and activities are thoughtfully planned most days. I simply can't say enough good things about Saleh ALF and their mission. They are like family to us now as well.

Choosing the best ALF for an aging parent is a daunting task. I have done it several times in the last 3 years and learned a lot in the process. We all have different priorities when we consider a placement. I worried about pleasing environments, other residents, activities, food, etc. and in the end discovered that none of these things matter if communication and staff are not meeting expectations. James, Christy, and Cassandra exceeded all expectations in their care for my father. Their care felt more like care in a family home. He was treated with respect and love and the staff regularly went above and beyond. When I needed to take my father to the hospital, they always came with us and they made sure all the staff knew that he was their resident. I think what I appreciated the most was that my dad sometimes broke the rules and put himself in an unsafe situation. Here he was never chastised or punished by the staff for his indiscretion. Instead, they would talk about safety and then devise a plan so that he could not endanger himself again in the same way. It was the perfect balance, a home where he could be cared for, respected, and treated the way you would want someone to care for a loved one. If I had placed my father at SELAH in the beginning I would not ever have had to relocate him!

Selah is professionally run, always clean, and, most importantly, "family." My mom lived there for her last few years, and I can't imagine a warmer, more intimate and secure place for her to have been. Larger ALFs are certainly good for their purposes, but if one wants a relative to live in a smaller environment with more careful attention, Selah is, to me, the best place for a loved one. James and Christy are not only the owners, but they are extraordinary RNs who give their best to create the environment of warmth and security that Selah has, not to mention that they are always available. I was also able to communicate very comfortably with the staff with any concerns or questions.

My father-in-law was very comfortable in this home. He had a private bathroom and room was always kept clean. The staff was very caring and took very good care of him. Towards the end Dad began to think of this place as his home, not a stop-over. Thank you Jimmy and Christy for taking such good care of him. We appreciated the calls whenever you saw a difference and your insights were always right on. Again, thank you!

My father-in-law lived a Selah living and was very comfortable there. Our family loved the home amtmosphere how everything is opened up, where they can sit at the kitchen table and see someone cooking just like being at home or the way they uste to live when they cared for a family. The staff is remarkable, caring . James and Christy R. the owners (both registered nurses)kept us informed of anything that pertained to my father. I would highly recommend this home for anyone you love.

We found Selah Living for my grandmother. Its a small community where they always give my grandmother a lot of attention. The staff is excellent. The rooms are homey, not hospital-like.

At the time that my dad was placed on hospice we received a recommendation for Selah Living. Mom and I visited the home and we knew immediately this was a place Dad would be treated with the respect he deserved. James and the staff went over and above to make this his home. They also went out there way to accommodate Moms needs. The home was clean and well cared for. The staff was amazing.

When my mother became ill the R.N. owner assessed Mom and was able to take her in right away. It was good to know she was safe and cared for. The house and her room were very clean. I can't say enough good things about the staff, professional, friendly and seemed to keep Mom feeling like she was participating in things- being dressed, going to meals with others. It was easy to contact the owner and the caregivers if I had questions, and they kept me well informed about Mom. I am a retired nurse and I felt the care was excellent.

My mother is a resident there now. It is everything that I envisioned for her. The staff is caring and attentive. The place is very clean. Every resident has their needs addressed individually. Everything that she needs is included in the price. If I could, I would rate it 10 stars.

We chose Selah Living because they provided one-on-one care with my mother. They were with her around the clock during the last four days of her life. They cooked homemade meals, played bingo together and did puzzles. The staff was very attentive to the residents there. They are still calling my dad and asking how he is because they really care about him. If anybody wants one-on-one care, this is the place I would definitely recommend to them.

This is a new 6 bed facility that opened just this year. The owner, James is a Godly man, has worked with Hospice in Management for Caring for end stage issues. He is fully equiped, to care for ALL family members & loved ones. As whom his wife is as well, a Registerd Nurse. Both are constantly aware of ALL of the needs of each person there!! Their entire staff, is wonderful, caring, loving, honest & trustworthy!! Always, everyone has a smile on their faces, & love in their hearts! The Home, is beautiful, on a safe street. Very, very clean, & tidy. Residents there, are always clean, tidy, & well cared for! They ARE treated like family!! When we had to place our loved one somewhere, I was finally at peace, knowing that she would truly be cared for & loved, as I would do it myself. I could finally rest!! This facitlity is AMAZING!! Anyone fortunate encough to choose Selah, will be so very, peaceful, happy, & loved! God Bless you James , & Selah staff, you are loved!!
