The facility is clean and the room are a perfect size. The staff is wonderful except for the property manager. She is unprofessional and disrespectful to the residents. She has even yelled at them. The letter sent to each unit are degrading and should be worded in a respectful way.

My wife and I currently reside at The Landings at Sea Forest. From where our unit is at, we can see the top of the gulf and we have 20 million sunset pictures from there. We also have a balcony that is big enough to go out and sit. However, the present management has rules that don't apply to everybody. A woman who works in the office, she's one of the biggest offenders. They have these so-called "rules" but it all depends on who's breaking them. Also about 90% of the residents here don't have anything complimentary to say about the present manager. As far as maintenance is concerned, this place is going downhill. The building is roughly 18 years old and everything is falling apart. A place can be 30 years old but if it's maintained right, it's not going to look its age. In our unit, we're having problems with the microwave and the dishwasher, yet they don't replace anything. If we want new appliances, we have to buy them for ourselves.
Provider Response
Dear Caring68792850 thank you for your recent review. Since your post in December 2013, we have had some positive changes. The Assistant Manager of 8 years has now been promoted to Community Director, and the past Director you speak of has retired from the Community. We are trying our very best to make for some very positive changes and already see that both staff and residents seem to be happier with changes. Please stop by the leasing office anytime if you still have some appliance issues that need to be resolved, we want you to be happy here with us for many years to come.

The Landing at Sea Forest was really nice too. It was a little different from the other facility because it's a high-rise, about eight stories high. You can actually see the Gulf of Mexico around it and it has nice views. They didn't have a dining area and brunch is usually what they have there. It's pretty nice though. It isn't one of those facilities that provide food. The staff was very courteous and very nice. Actually, everybody's been really nice in every place that we've been to.
