About Us:
Many people are not aware of the true concept of assisted living. An Assisted Living Facility (ALF) is a near-home-like atmosphere, providing comfort, safety, compassion, and well-being assistance by trained personnel. An ALF allows those who qualify to make a far less radical transition from their own home, continuing their lives in a similar environment and helping to promote as much individual independence as possible. Caring Village of Forest Glen is one of the area's best-known and most well-respected state-licensed providers of assisted living care.
Staff is awake and available 24 hours a day so if any emergencies occur no matter the time, there will be someone ready to help.

I stayed at Caring Village of Forest Glen. It was highly expensive, it's very old, but I liked it because it had a call button, which is good for some people. The staff wasn't that great. I didn't see any activities there. Some staff was nice, the other staff was nasty. The taste of the food was horrible. The facility itself was nice, but if you take a close look, it was old. They have a petting zoo there.

The layout of Caring Village of Forest Glen is very nice because everything's central and then the rooms surround it. It feels homey, but it is dated, and I think it probably needs some updating on the wallpaper. I think they're in the process of remodeling, but the rooms felt a little bit more like a nursing home to us. It was just an older place. They've been painting the walls and everything was just kind of dingy. We didn't care for it, but I like the idea of what they're trying to do. It just probably needs to be modernized for what they're asking for compared to other places that we saw that were much newer. The lady who accommodated us was on her way out and didn't seem to be aware that we had an appointment and was kind of flabbergasted and disorganized and rushing, which was fine. I understand and she was nice.

My friend moved here. It has a memory care adjacent to assisted living, and they allow their memory care patients to come and go. I liked that she's getting good care, her room is clean, the meals are good, and the group is good. She likes to play beach ball, she hates Bingo, she doesn't like cards, but she loves the church services. They have people come in, and she likes it when they visit.
