Very grateful that BHM takes such excellent care of my sister. It has been a difficult year with the unexpected death of our mother in January, and when we needed assistance, BH stepped up to the plate. She really enjoyed the music and arts and crafts this month. Thank you

Berryhill Manor had awesome and sweet people. They were very helpful, very well informed, and would always assure that we would hear from them if anything was wrong. The food was good. The staff was really good. The rooms were nice and had private baths. The atmosphere was very nice. I love the decorations. There were lots of pretty pictures on the walls. They always encourage everyone to come out of their rooms and enjoy what entertainment there was and always try to motivate them to come out and join with the activities.

We saw Berryhill Manor. The staff member that showed us around was new, and she talked to the residents like they were seven year olds. The rooms were OK, but I was not impressed. The atmosphere looked depressing and it did not feel happy. The dining area looked all right, and it was cheerful. The only thing I saw them doing was physical therapy.

My mother was in Berryhill Manor and I say was ! In January of 2019 my mom was admitted to the hospital by Berryhill Manor they did not ever inform the family of this . On Saturday the hospital called us to let us know she was there and that mom told them the name and number to call ! She was there four days before the Hospital call us Berryhill never call never informed us ! On Monday when she was discharged from the hospital I took her by Berryhill to get her stuff . I ask Berryhill how she was admitted to a hospital and they never called us to inform us . The front desk lady said she fell though the cracks and they forgot to call us ! The board even had the wrong name on it as the person who was in the hospital the lady laughed when she saw that and said she had put her sister in laws name down instead! I don’t see this as fun ! What if my mother had died ? What if she fell into a coma ? I would not put my dead dog in there ! Sincerely Sheila Rene’ Billingsley

Berryhill Manor seems friendly, adequate, and it was a nice facility. It wasn’t one of those terrible experiences when you go in, and you are kind of shocked. They weren’t real updated, but considering the price of the facility, I think it was within range of what it should look like. The grounds were nice and well-kept. I met a couple of staff members; everybody was nice, and the residents seemed happy. They had a guitar player at that time in the room, and they have some snacks. It was in a great location, and it was close to the hospital. I would like my grandma to go there, and I would recommend the facility.

We placed my mother at Berryhill Manor 9 or 10 months ago. It is closer to us where we can get to her quickly and that is the main thing. It is a nice facility. They were very courteous and they helped us to file all the paperwork and tell us what steps to take. I'm very satisfied with this place. They always answered all my questions. They were very helpful. My mom is 99, so she is not able to participate in a lot of things, but she does play bingo and she loves the entertainment provided by people coming in to sing, or having church services. She really enjoys that. Also, you are always welcome to go in and eat with them or to visit with them.

The facility had a good community and residents seemed happy. There were plenty of activities available (games nights, sing-alongs, bingo, etc) and they were happy to serve a variety of food. As I walked through all of the residents smiled, waved and enjoyed chatting with me. The atmosphere was a bit lacking; it did have the standard, stuffy retirement home feel but there was a beautiful courtyard available for the residents to enter. They could be outside, yet still surrounded by walls and in view of the nurses and workers. My grandmother loved getting her hair done there, but did seem reluctant to integrate herself into the residents community (though I think it had more to do with her nature).

It is an excellent place but sometimes medications are done late due low staff ratio with too many patients. Overall the place serves excellent food for the resident. The food has good for the residents promoting healthy life style. Even though some patients have restrictions on what they can eat or how much which should not be done they should be able to enjoy their time while they are there rather than being bullied around by being told they are not allowed to eat something. I personally think that they should be able to eat whatever they choose to eat as she will not be alive much longer with being so sick and feeble. The area is nice with plenty of activities to do. Socializing should be encouraged more as people tend to live longer when they feel someone (fellow residents) cares about them or understands their situation by personal experience. Some of the patients need to be in psychiatric ward as they are not mentally stable which is dangerous for her as well as the other residents. Overall it is a very nice place but things need to be corrected so that people will be safe and enjoy what are for her which will probably her last days or months of being alive. She should be able to enjoy her time there especially when it comes to being able to choose what food to eat which one day will be her last meal. And she should be happy while she is there.
