My friend is staying in Summer Vista Assisted Living. It's lovely. It is geared more toward people with assisted living. My friend needs almost total care, and she's going to be in the memory unit as soon as I get a bed. They're taking good care of her, but it's expensive. The rooms are very nice. There's a variety and you can get a two-bedroom apartment, a one-bedroom, a studio, or just a room. My friend's room is a studio, and it has a very nice bathroom and a little kitchenette with some cabinets, a small microwave, and a refrigerator. The food seems to be excellent. I've eaten there once. They have a menu, and you can make selections. The heaviest meal is at lunchtime. They will deliver to your room, but it costs a lot of money like $9 a delivery. It's an extra cost if they eat in their room, but they do their very best to get them to go to the dining room. They check on the people that aren't mobile, and they take them down and bring them back. The dining area is very nice and very clean. They have a social director there. They have music, cards and some entertainment. They have a grand piano in the lobby, and they have different musicians come in from time to time. They are the nicest people you've ever met.

Summer Vista Assisted Living was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everybody seemed happy. We had an excellent visit. They had large rooms and everything was very clean. The memory care side had some odor, but certainly not as bad as I've experienced in a lot of places. We got there just after lunch, and everybody coming out of the dining room seemed to be very satisfied. Staff was in there and were cleaning immediately. The residents seemed very satisfied.

I toured Summer Vista Assisted Living. I noticed they didn't have handrails in all places where I thought there should have been. They were kind of set up in almost like a circle, and they have three floors. There's a lot of walking to be done, so I was surprised at the lack of handrails in the hallways. The apartments were small. The staff who gave the tour was their salesperson, and her name is Tabitha. She's a very nice lady. She gave me some helpful tips on things I could do with my wife right now. She was very nice.

We just signed a contract with Summer Vista Assisted Living. We visited probably four or five times before we made a settlement. We had dinner there. We're pretty satisfied with it. Their rooms were considerably larger than other rooms in other places. Everybody was friendly. The residents were friendly. They answered all the questions we had and told us a lot of things we needed to know if we wanted to go there. They were very cooperative. The food wasn't the greatest, at least the one meal that we had there. They have a lot of different activities. They have bingo, card games, field trips, and shopping trips. Pretty much you name it, they do it. They go to the casino once in a while, too.

Care is lacking. This is mainly due to the caliber of staff within this facility. I’ve been understanding of a tight labor Market for the past year but that excuse is getting tired. Based upon the cost of this facility you would expect a better level of care, but I’m afraid this is the new normal at any such facility.

Summer Vista Assisted Living was a very comfortable, reassuring atmosphere with caring professionals. The gentleman who walked me around was very, very informative and gave me a lot of tips for questions to ask at other facilities. It's a fairly new facility. It's fresh and clean. The amenities were all-inclusive, so it's one price for memory care. They also had a courtyard, a salon, and activities. It's a very convenient location for us. It's just 4 minutes away.

I saw Summer Vista Assisted Living. I liked the fact that they have a deluxe one-bedroom that's 519 square feet. I thought that was good. It's a good size and also they have motorized carts that they can provide for a one-time fee of $500. I also like the location. It's right near the tennis complex and my husband loves to play tennis. I like the actual facility itself. I thought it was quite pretty. The facilities were great. The staff showed me all around. It was very nice. I liked the size of it, and I liked the amount of light coming into it. It was very bright and happy looking.

I went to Summer Vista Assisted Living. The community is beautiful, clean, and smells good, and that was the one thing I did recognize that the smell was great. It was just a friendly atmosphere. It's everything you need in assisted living. I told them to sign myself up to come 20 years from now, that's how nice it was. The rooms were beautiful. The tour was great. The gentleman who did the tour with me was very informative and very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. I was very impressed with the bathrooms. The shower is wide open, and you can put a chair in that shower without any issues. The dining area is very nice. It reminded me of a little restaurant.

Summer Vista Assisted Living seems good. I'm not really getting any feedback from my mom who has a little bit dementia, whether they're doing her laundry. They're supposed to be changing beds and washing her clothes. I haven't contacted them to see how often they do that, if they have to go in and make sure they get the items from her. I'm not allowed to visit her. It makes it really hard to watch after your loved ones when you don't have any hands-on to actually go in and see them. I can't get in there and her memory is not good enough to really know what day she's supposed to have her laundry ready and all that stuff. Communication with the staff started out when my mother first got there. The nurse would call me almost every day once a day for about the first four days, but I haven't heard anything since then from them on how she's doing. I have to contact them to get anything, but so far, so good, as far as I know. I had no idea what the kitchen looked like. I took a small desk with a chair because they take all their meals in their room, so she could have a place to eat.

My dad started out in the assisted living of Summer Vista and then we moved him into memory care because he's more suitable for that. I absolutely love this community, I can't say enough good things about it. It's a nice place, the people are very personable, accessible and they communicate well. The best thing is that it's only a mile away from my house. I love the staff here, they're top grade. I also like their accommodations, it's an extremely nice community. I have not personally tried their food, but I've glanced at the menu and have walked by a couple of times while they're eating and it looked good. From what I've seen, I like their activities. The people in memory care seem to be busy, they have a lot going on. In memory care, they have crafts, they have activities, and they did a Christmas project. They're very limited in what they can offer to memory care in terms of activities, for obvious reasons. It's very reasonably-priced for what you get; it's a great value. There are a couple of places that are cheaper, but the quality is not what you get at Summer Vista.

Summer Vista was very nice, and the memory care facility was nice, but it was very close to the airport. It was also a little bit further away from my mother's doctors and the hospital she likes to go to. The room wasn't that large, but it would have been sufficient. It also didn't have a built-in closet area. The price was good, but as the level of care went up, so did the price.

If your relative is independent then this is a good place to live, but the assisted living help is not good. The employees are very friendly, but there is never enough help in an area of the facility. Numerous Calls have gone unanswered after hours. Some of the nurses are great and done are not. Food service is of hospital quality not a high end assisted living facility. Seems the main goal is to cut costs and save money. What you see in the tour may not be what you get. This all goes back to management. I Would not recommend unless you plan to stay on top of a loved ones care or they don’t need any.

It is a beautiful and clean facility with spacious rooms. In my opinion, the "assisted living" part would be fine for people who require very little or no help - in other words, independent living. After a few months of what we considered very poor service, we felt we had to move our loved one out. The staff to patient ratio seemed inadequate. We didn't feel it was safe because the people working the floors were either not responsive at all or very slow arriving when called. They weren't even visible until called most of the time. The dining room staff is slow and unresponsive as well. I felt the same lack of interest when I brought these issues to the attention of the management. We want to be able to trust the people who care for our loved ones, and know they care and have their best interests in mind. I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you are fully independent and are able to care for yourself. This is our fourth elder-care facility due to moves and increased need for assistance. It has been the only one we found to be unsatisfactory.

We put our mom in Summer Vista. It is a lovely, beautiful facility. It is an ALF, and it has a memory care unit in it. I think the memory care unit there is unsatisfactory to us. It is overcrowded, and the layout is not comfortable for the patient. I love the ALF, but not the memory care. The memory care unit is clean, and the staff is nice.

Summer Vista is brand new, lovely, clean, bright, friendly, and nice. I told the manager I would move in myself. I liked the concept; they had a very nice memory care area. Some of the rooms have little porches that open into a corridor with little chairs, and it was really neat. It was just a beautiful building with friendly people.

Summer Vista was brand new, newly opened, and nice, but it wasn’t close enough to home to visit Mom.
