What I liked about Banyan Lantana was that the community was small. They only had 36 residents so I felt they would be able to have a little more individual time if needed. The facility was beautiful. The rooms were very nice. They supply the furniture and that was one thing I liked. I'm considering them very much so far. They have their own little living room space and a kitchen area. They can't cook or anything like that so nothing's dangerous. My mother likes to be in the kitchen, so she could just be in the kitchen. They have a refrigerator, a sink, and a microwave. I liked the idea that it was more of a real home setting. She would come out of her bedroom, have her bath, and then still have her living room type and the little tiny kitchen if she chose to be there. They can go about the facility as much as they want and onto the grounds. It's protected with locked fences. I liked that it's a gated community. The staff was super attentive. When I was there, they had all the residents outside playing music, exercising, and having ice cream. They had a big dining room and an activity room. It was a nice facility. The staff was very pleasant and they looked like they were enjoying what they did. One thing that concerned me was that it's two floors, but they're all open and the rooms have a window so they can open a window and have a beautiful view. There are elevators and of course, there's staff with them constantly and there are cameras so the inside staff can see any issues and constantly be monitoring.
