My brother moved into Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. Everything has been OK, and he seems to like it very much there. The staff is very friendly. My brother said the food is very good. They have a men's luncheon every so often. Tomorrow, they're having a barbecue with entertainment. They also had a barbecue on Memorial Day with entertainment. They have a book club. A bus takes them to go shopping at Publix at 9:00 a.m., but not everybody gets up that early. My brother never goes to breakfast because breakfast is at 7:00 a.m. I think the time for food is a little off. Lunch starts at 11:30. I think some of the things they do are not for everybody, timewise.

I toured Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. The community itself was fine. The place was okay. For what we were looking for, the pricing was okay. What we didn't like about it was, to go into the clubhouse either for dinner or any activities, you have to go outside. It's all covered, but in the summer, when it's 102 degrees, I would not want to go outside to go inside. It wasn't a small walk either; it was a good-sized walk. It was like down a hallway and another hallway. The apartment that was renovated was quite a distance away. Everything else about it was fine. The people there were very nice. I met the chef and the nurse that's there. When it's hot out or even when it's raining, even though it's covered, rain can go sideways so you can get soaking wet going from your apartment inside to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I was looking for something that had inside corridors where you didn't have to walk down ramps and around corners to get to the building where everything was going on. It was older, which was fine because it was in good shape. It had quite a distance to walk, and even with the closer apartments was a far enough distance. The apartments that were closer were not renovated, so they were old, and everything in it looked old. With regards to food, I was there for a little while, and the chef made some kind of muffin or something to go, and that was delicious. Cleanliness was okay. I didn't see anything that I wouldn't be unhappy about. I went to the ladies' room while I was there in the hallway and that was clean. I went into the dining room, and it was very nice with tablecloths on the tables. They were having some kind of a little what's-going-on-in-the-week meeting. There's a little sitting area after you walk in, and there were a whole bunch of people gathered to listen to what's going on the week. If there were people who didn't read well or wanted to know when something was going to happen, they were being explained what was going on that week and what activities they had.

I'm moving into Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. They have many services that I would be able to use. I would have a large one-bedroom apartment whereas where I'm living now, there is only one big hotel room. The living front living quarters are much, much bigger and nicer at Elison. I have tried their food, and it was excellent. There were many activities. The staff members were so nice. They couldn't have been nicer. They're very nice people. The place was beautiful. It's a very big, beautiful place. It was the only one I looked at, and I liked that so much that I didn't want to look at anything else.

We moved my mom to Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. The vibe we got when we walked in the door was really positive. People were active and busy; they weren't just sitting around doing nothing. The staff is very friendly. For us, the selling point was that they don't have high turnover there. The people that work there have been there for 10 years plus. Most of the staff that we met had been there over a decade, which means they love their jobs. It's not something that they are just going to leave. So far, my mom likes it. She has made some friends with a couple other ladies that are her age. What we also like is they have the ability to add nursing care as you need it because the nursing agency is attached. We can choose the nursing care that we want for her on a monthly basis. The facility itself is nice. It's colorful. The main building is pink. It is all different colors. I think that is also an appeal for older people because they don't feel like they are in a hotel. The other thing we really like is that their individual apartments open up to the outdoors. It's not like a hotel where you walk in through a long hallway, and then you open doors like you would a hotel room. The apartments open up to the outside, and you can get fresh air. The food is good. I ate with my mom once. They have a large menu to choose from. They do three meals a day. If you didn't feel like walking to the dining room, you could have your meals delivered to your apartment. For activities, they have quite a full activity calendar. They publish the calendar weekly and distribute it to all the residents. They can plan their week and which activities they want to attend. They have shopping trips. The bus will take you to wherever the shopping trip is for that day. They have been really good. They also text me if I need to know something.

Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth is beautiful. The tour was great. They explained everything to us. I saw the dining room, and it was very nice. It was exquisite and beautiful. I saw the menu, and it was a topnotch menu. They had a lot of activities. The place was beautiful; it was really nice. The room was very nice, spacious, clean, and bright. It had a balcony and a kitchenette, so it was like you have your own condo. It was really independent. However, it was not for my father. I think he needed medication management, and that was not offered there. Nevertheless, the place was very well maintained. I wouldn't mind living there. The staff who gave us the tour was great. She was nice.

for the most part the place is about average, except that this year instead of a 6 or 7 % rent increase my relative got a 67.5% increase!!!and in the letter he got announcing this he was told that most other places like this gave greater increases, total nonsense of course

I toured Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. I loved the place. It is an older building, but it's very well-kept. Everything was painted. It looks good for an old building. They showed us the activities center, the entrance, the lobby area, the dining room, the available rooms that they have, and the salon. They have movies, they have a stage for performances. They have games and cards. They have a pool and a hot tub. Some residents were taking care of gardening. They explained the transportation that they offer for activities of daily life, doctor's appointments, and shopping. The staff was very caring and attentive. They looked very professional. They were all in uniforms in the restaurant, so it plays into the whole feel of restaurant-style eating because the employees there were wearing a restaurant-style uniform with a white top and black bottoms. Jan was the key piece that sold us on Elison because he knew everyone that he encountered during our tour. He knew them by their first name, which was impressive. I was so impressed.

Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth was very, very nice. All the people were wonderful. The facility looked very neat. The apartments were very clean, up to date, and very nice. They had a swimming pool, a dining room, a gym, a barber shop, and sitting rooms. It was a very nice place.

My father is in Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. It's independent, but he still gets some daily care around. They have an in-house staff to help them out every now and then. The staff is very friendly, cooperative, and easy to work with, very welcoming, warm, and caring. The facility is very nice. The food is very good. The property is well-maintained. It's all in all a very good place for him to be. His room is a good size, clean, well-kept, and well-maintained. All the meals are supplied, but he does have a refrigerator, a sink, and a kitchenette. They have exercise clubs, swimming, a men's club, a poker club, they have games they play, electronic games, and a bowling kind of thing. It's the best place we could find within his budget. The staff is excellent, compassionate, and understanding. They work very well together.

Ellison Independent Living of Lake Worth was all very functional. They had a bunch of activities and then they had a huge dining room. They seemed to be open with me and the place was clean, nice, and convenient for the families to come and visit (it's right off the freeway). It seemed well taken care of. The lady was really sweet. When we talked about the initial costs, she was amenable to working with me. So that was good, not just for me, but for other people knowing that they work with all of them.

Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth is nice and I have moved in. It's independent living, but you can get assisted services or individualized services. The food is good, they're all fresh and delicious. They do exercises in the morning, they have bingo once a week, they also have a TV and Internet connection.

My parents will be moving into Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth. We visited the place, they signed the lease, and they paid the money. Our experience was excellent. The tour was very thorough. I visited eight different places and my parents visited three and we all liked the Elison because of the staff, Jessica and Gloria, and Jan, the director. They arranged that my parents sit with the residents for lunch and the food was excellent. They got to meet some people there, so it was very well arranged and the tour was very well done. We met the staff and had a wonderful lunch, and they showed us the apartment. There's a screened-in porch that we wanted just spruced up and they've done it already. We're just really pleased so far. We received a discount of $500 per month for the first year plus a free month to help us because they have to get this house together before they move in there. We got financially a good deal and we felt very confident in the staff and the nurse on duty and the opportunities for care that you can receive there. Even though they don't call it assisted living, you can hire. They have onsite people that can provide you with that. My parents like the location because it's in a nice neighborhood and there are stores nearby. There's everything they need nearby and the neighborhood looked nice. It's only independent living. They're not registered in assisted living, but they have aides onsite and an RN onsite. You can get all the services of assisted living and you would just stay in your apartment. It's a little older, but the common areas are very new, fresh, and clean. The apartment is a little bit dated, but it's clean and nice. They fix up the pool area and everything. In terms of the overall common/eating area, room, activity areas, library, and the atmosphere, they are a 5. Their apartment is a 4. It's nice and roomier than some other places.

Elison Independent Living of Lake Worth is very old, it seemed drab, dreary, and not lively at all. The person who gave me the tour was great but the facility looked old and rather worn and drab. It looked like it needed some renovations. The person I met there, her name was Jacqueline, and she was very good, very knowledgeable and thorough. It needs to be brighter, as soon as you walk in it's very drab.

I toured and they were very helpful. I like the place very much. It was clean, and people seemed to be happy there. The staff was very, very nice. The place was immaculate. They were very informative and then the staff called me back to see what my decision was. They were pretty good. They were very good and very gracious. I did see the menu that they were getting, and it looked like a very good menu. There were many choices. The facilities were pretty good. They had a lot of activities. From what I could see, they all seemed to be happy with whoever was there. They get together, they eat together, and they do activities together, so I thought it was very good but my mother won't go.

My mom has been in here and it is very good. The staff is very friendly. My mom's room is very nice. The dining area is very nice too. The food is served restaurant-style. Their food is very good. What my mom takes advantage of the most is the transportation to the doctor as well as the transportation to the grocery store. They have other activities. They have a happy hour and they have games and whatnot, but she doesn't really participate in those. The place has very good living quarters. The staff and the people are very friendly.

The apartment space is more than adequate for a resident bringing furniture from her previous home. The food is excellent. The most impressive thing is the friendliness and accommodating attitude of the staff. Nancy was instrumental in easing an emotional transition for my nonagenarian mother.
