Water Edge of Lake Wales is a nice facility in a nice setting. The rooms are nice. I have an apartment here, and it's very comfortable. The staff is nice and the meals are good. We have a gym and meeting rooms. We have a library and a computer room. We have a chaplain on duty here. We have a shuffleboard court, croquet, a pool table, and a movie theater. The staff seems to be attentive and they seem to be compassionate.

My wife and I went to the Water Edge of Lake Wales. We had a great visit. They showed us all the amenities and even drove us in the golf cart to show us some of the outside amenities. They did have a choice of villas and apartments, which was nice. Villas are small houses, but they also use the dining facilities and all of the amenities. So that was a nice option to have. I think this one was a little older, and you could see a little wear and tear in the amenities. There weren't too many people using them. They had everything, pool rooms, card rooms, meeting rooms, and theater. The two-bedroom apartment I thought was too small for us. It didn't seem nearly as nice as other places we've seen. The villas were very nice. You have to go back and forth to the main building, but that's okay if you're independent. We did have lunch there with one of the residents, which was very nice to get their input. So, lunch was good. They had a great menu. I thought that you could choose if you didn't like the two specials they had that day. Then we met the chef and they can accommodate various dietary problems. We don't have any, but it's good to know.

We live here in Water's Edge of Lake Wales. The community is very nice. The people are friendly, helpful, and professional. We're not leaving here. Anybody interested ought to come take a look. The staff are very helpful and professional. The overall condition of the place is excellent. For activities, there are classes going on all the time, there are bridge club and pinnacle club, and there is some kind of card game. There's a group of us that shoot pool, and there's another group that meets regularly to play mahjong. There's chair aerobics up in the gym. There are fitness machines, and physical therapies available, and there's water aerobics. If you're bored, it's your own fault. The food service has recently come under new management, and it has vastly improved. I just had an excellent meal of garlic red potatoes, corned beef, and sauteed cabbage. Excellent.

Our tour experience with Water Edge of Lake Wales was very good. They explained the place to me very well. I saw a studio apartment with a kitchenette that was unfurnished. So, you have to furnish it. The amenities were great. They had a library, a hobby shop, and the place was very clean. It was like a luxury hotel.

I really liked the Water Edge of Lake Wales. It was nice and open, the people were friendlier than the other place I toured, and the rooms were nice and furnished. They were more apartments than hotel rooms, so my mom could have her own apartment if she were to go there. The only thing is that they have a buy-in, which is a little high price; they want you to put down money for a life lease. We were looking for a place that takes long-term Medicaid, which they don't. It's expensive, but they've got a dining room that's restaurant-type style, and they've got a little menu for the week. I felt really comfortable in that, but in the long run, finance-wise was a big thing. That buy-in thing is what really just made us decide not to do it. The staff who gave the tour was really nice. She took us around everywhere, and described everything, and showed us the room, and her name was Missy, I think. Unfortunately, at that time, we couldn't try the food because it was during COVID, but they usually would give a sample on a tour, but she was trying to get my mom to come the following week, and she was offering a free lunch then. They've got plenty of outdoor spaces, and they have a pool there, and all these activities. I like that they don't seem as regulated. They have free transportation, and they are next to the Dollar Tree or Dollar General, near the banks, and around shopping centers, so my mom could go out and buy food if she wanted.

We like Water Edge of Lake Wales. It has what we want. It has a two-bedroom, independent living, and I can upgrade that if a three-bedroom becomes available and I have priority on getting in their assisted living and memory care. We already know some people there, and they've spoken in very high terms. We met all the staff, and we heard the food is good. It's not five-star quality, but it's still good food, and you don't have to make it. The people were excellent. Everybody we met was very nice. I would rate the facility very high. It looked well kept and well-maintained. The restaurant area looked very clean. It's a sit-down type experience, and the men's restroom was very clean. We toured our villa and somebody just moved out, so it needs some work, but they're gonna re-carpet and paint it for us, and we're negotiating with them on new appliances.

Water Edge of Lake Wales is big. It's considerably more expensive but it seems to have every amenity that you could want. My mom has her own apartment as opposed to a smaller room, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. You just couldn't ask for a better place.

I have a friend who is staying at Water Edge of Lake Wales. It's a great community. They are interested in their residents, and they take good pride in taking care of them. They did some renovations a year ago, so I'm not sure what's there now and what's not. They had even renovated the inside since I had been there, so it was new to me when I entered. They had weekly gatherings, a game room, and I remember playing darts in there. We had a good time, and the residents were happy. They have a choir, and they also have musicians who come in and give them little concerts and stuff. They had tours and trips they took with their own bus, but if there are too many people or too many outsiders going along with them, they hire a bigger bus. They have many, many activities. The staff was friendly. The food was plentiful, and they have plenty of snacks in between, too, so that was great.

I went to Water Edge of Lake Wales and visited both the independent and the assisted living area. It's well kept and had beautiful grounds. The rooms were nice and had small closets. The hallways were large and had hand rails. They've got nice staff. It's a cleaner and newer facility than the other places I've visited. There's a fully equipped exercise room, swimming pool, ample size auditorium, and religious non-denominational services on Sundays in the facility. The dining area was open, easy access, and had tables. It's restaurant style, and the food is brought to you.

Water Edge of Lake Wales was wonderful. It was beyond words; it was just beautiful. The staff was so courteous and nice. We saw them interacting with the residents while we were on tour. It was very nice. The community was just beyond beautiful. I would really love to move into this community if I got the opportunity. The dining area was very well maintained. It was restaurant-style with waiters, waitresses and menus. The people appeared to be very happy who were in there. They have fabulous amenities. The exercise room is wonderful. They have a theater room that is beautiful. They have a walking path around the lake. They also have pools that are well maintained. They even have a dog park that you can take your dog over. It is a fenced-in area so they can run free. It is very nice as well. The people were very nice and they were interested in helping us to find a place that we would like to live.

I live in Water Edge of Lake Wales. It's independent and assisted. It's a very nice place and the staff is very good. The food is usually good, but it's hard to cook for 180 people and make everybody happy. The dining area is very pleasant. We play cards, Jeopardy, and Family Feud. We have a movie theater, a happy hour on Fridays and they hire some entertainment and singers, and we have bingo. My apartment is too small. I have a one-bedroom, but all the apartments here have little balconies. I just need more storage space, but other than that it's very nice.

I was amazed by the cleanliness and activeness of the community. The residents seemed very happy and told my mom this was a great place to live. The staff was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working there. We gave a deposit and look forward to moving my mom in.

PLEASE do your research and talk to active/current care givers before you place a loved one in the AL or Memory Care unit. It is NOT what they sell you - and even though the workers are very sweet, they lack the knowledge and training to serve this population. The administration has many excuses. Caregivers who are local see all the flaws. Your family deserves better, and Waters Edge should serve their community better. The food service staff are not flexible. Choices are limited! The reviews of the Independent Living will be very different from the reviews of those in the Assisted Living, for obvious reasons!

As a NASMM/Senior Move Manager, I can whole-heartedly recommend Water's Edge. Tim D. is very accommodating and cares about the individual and families. No place has a better gathering spot in the lobby with their amazing player piano.

I have a family friend in the memory care unit and I can not begin to describe the feelings I had when I met a young lady whom said she was new her First week and I could already tell the difference the ambiance the smiles the activities that were so engaging it was so enlightening to watch her engage with the residents. It was if they were her own loved ones. I am so glad WatersEdge finally got someone with the love for the memory care unit that they deserve

I have moved my mother into Water Edge. She is in independent living, but they have assisted living and memory care. The place is awesome. I can’t tell you enough how great it is. Water Edge was our first. We went back, and it was our last. It was hands down. It’s nice, clean, and bright with pale blue walls. I thought the security was great. One thing that’s different about Water Edge and other places is that it’s a bit of buy in. Say it was a 2500 apartment, you pay 25000, but when you move out you get 85% of that back. It depends if you have the money to put into it, but it includes a full continental breakfast every morning and your choice of lunch or dinner in the dining room which has a white table cloth. It’s not a buffet, they serve you. The food is very good. Her apartment is very nice. All the apartments in the independent living have screened in balconies and outside balconies -- something no one else has. Her independent living comes with a full kitchen. It includes housekeeping once a week. They have townhouses where you can live independently and have your meals in the property. The people were super nice there. They’re very accommodating. They help with anything, and they answer questions. My mom is very happy with the staff -- especially with the dining room. They’re like waitresses. They come and wait at the table, but they know everybody by their name. She can have her own car if she wants, but they have their own bus service that takes them to doctors or Walmart. They have an outside swimming pool that’s heated. They have a little movie room, a little exercise room, a crafts room, and a card room. They’re working a little bit on the activities. I would say that’s probably the one thing they’re lacking in a little bit right now and they’re working on bringing more activities in. They have two sewing machines that are set up for crafts, wii golf, chair exercises, and movies twice a week in the movie room. They also have a pool table and a dart room -- like a men’s room. They do a lunch brunch once a month if you want to sign up, and people are signing up for sentimental operas in December. That’s an extra, that’s not included.

I had visited Water's Edge and it was very nice. The people there were very nice too. They had duplex and apartment units, which were spacious with one bedroom, one bath and a full kitchen. They had nice amenities and a heated pool. However, you had to pay a buy-in fee of $25,000.
