Residents complain about not having a bath in two weeks. People were made to sit in chairs and not put in bed. Some patients needed to be fed but they were not. The staff just sit at the nurse's station on the phone.

My sister is in Citrus Health and Rehabilitation Center. We have had issues with some of the staff because my sister has a rare neurological disease called progressive supranuclear palsy and most people have not heard of it. I'll quote one of the nurses, "We treat everyone here the same." That was problematic because they were trying to make her do things that she shouldn't be doing. They were not taking her to the bathroom and she needed help going to the bathroom. They were trying to make her get in and out of bed by herself. The director said to me, "Yeah, she's on my frequent faller list." They did not understand how to take care of her. They didn't do a very good job of trying until it became a huge problem and I had to get with the director. It was kind of a big mess. It's kind of an older facility, but it's in a nice area, with lots of trees and greenery and stuff like that. It's close to a small hospital. There are a lot of retirees in the area. It doesn't smell of urine, which is a good thing. It's rather expensive. It's overpriced for what you get. My dad was in a place several years back and I thought that was expensive. This place is even more expensive and it's not nearly as nice as the one my dad was at. I don't think they're awful, but I don't think they're the greatest either. Some staff are great, but there are very many of them that are just not up to standard.

Due to Covid 19 we are unable to visit, so we have to go by what we are being told by our mom. She tells us night time is party time and she can not sleep due to the noise. The nurses are rough, pushing and shoving while helping her get dressed when they finally have time to help her. She is there for rehab and stays in her bed for hours and days at a time. She also goes days without being taken to the restroom or given a pan of water to wash her face and brush her teeth. If they are short staffed then they should not keep excepting patients into the facility. We are so frustrated that we can not get calls back from the social worker when we leave messages day after day.
