Hammond House is located in an older area, and it's an older home with rooms converted into bedrooms for the residents' needs. The staff that showed me around was very nice, everybody there was very helpful and very nice. The gentleman that owns the place was stuck in Northern Florida, and he was the only one who knew that we were coming so he was not there to greet us. But the other people that were there were very nice and showed us around. And the place was really clean.

Hammond House is in an old section of Hollywood, and it basically looks like someone's house that they converted into bedrooms. They have a kitchen and a living room. I know that my mother-in-law would never stay there. The rooms were 12x12 at the most there. I saw the dining room table and some chairs which I guess could seat six people. There was nobody there to talk to us about the place. We didn't get the chance to talk to the director.

My mother-in-law is doing very well at Hammond House. I haven't tried the food there but she said that it's okay. It's not the home cooked food that she is used to but she said it's doable.
