My dad moved in to Sunshine Christian Homes because he likes the people that he's lived around. He knew a lot of the workers, and everybody was really nice so he'd rather live there. The staff is really nice and helped us out specially after he moved in and everything. His room is alright. By the time he's moved over there, the whole COVID thing put him on lockdown. It's in a good location in a quiet and nice area. Their outdoor spaces are nice, you see a lot of the residents walking around. The assisted living area had more stuff inside but they have outside areas where people could sit, and they had a fountian area in there. It was really beautiful. From what he told us, he wasn't a fan of the food.

We have chosen Sunshine Christian Homes, Inc. My mom hasn't moved in yet. The tour was fine. It is all one floor, which is very important to me. The place was clean. The staff who toured me was very nice. She was very informative. She answered all my questions. I chose a single room. It was spacious and clean. The dining area was very nice and very clean, too. I remember they play bingo. They do crafts. They do puzzles, and they have parties. The surroundings were very, very nice. They have a nice and cozy reception area.

Sunrise Christian Homes was very small and very nice. The rooms were small, but nice. The people were extremely friendly. I found it a little bit dark inside. The food was excellent. It was more like a huge house except they all had their privacy. It was a lovely place. The care and the staff were nice. They were very helpful.

Our experience with Sunshine Christian Homes has been very good. We've got nothing bad to say about them. They're very good. My step-mom loves it there. We haven't had any problems whatsoever. The dining area is set up like a family dinner. There are six to a table served like they're with their family. They have very good meals. They have singers and different churches that come in, tours, and trips to Walmart and Target. When we went there, they had singing going on, and she sat there and listened. That did it; she was ready to go in there.

Sunshine Christian Homes was very good. They provided a high level of care. The food and the dining room were OK. They have two sections. He does some activities, but the physical therapist is there every day and does group therapy. His room was like a large hospital room which was really for two, but he has taken over the single. Security was very high.

We chose Sunshine Christian Homes because it was recommended by a very good source. My views on the staff and the services are excellent. They are on top of everything and at the same time they’re laid back when it comes down to administration. It’s a hassle-free type environment from registration down to any little thing that needs to be done. They have so many activities inside and outside of the property -- they take him to the doctor’s appointments. He gets well-balanced nutritious meals. We’ve eaten with him a couple of times and the meals were just excellent -- flavorful but healthy at the same time. It’s just a wonderful place and the best decision we could have made for him. The rooms are huge -- all of his bedroom furniture that was in his apartment fits in his private room. He has a queen-sized bed, two nightstands, and a chest -- there is plenty of room for him to walk around. He has a key and he gets in his own door and his bathroom is right inside of his bedroom. There's a full bath with a handicap-accessible shower and it suits all of his needs perfectly. He has a window where he can look out to see the view. They have a calendar of activities monthly -- church study, service, and bible study every day. They’ve got every kind of amenity you can think of. They take them out every week on outings and dinner twice a month. They take them out to the store usually once or twice a month. It’s a nice small community, far enough from the main street but accessible and easy to find. My father is adjusting to the place because of the fact that everything is right there. There is no need for him to go anywhere else. He can walk outside the premises as there are certain boundaries in place. I really liked the place, but he is adjusting to living alone or being on his own. We’re very pleased with the choice that we made and I would recommend this facility.

Sunshine Christian Homes is a lovely place. It is also much better and costs less than the place where my aunt and uncle used to live in. The room that they got is bright, clean and airy. It is of nice size, just enough for the two of them. The facility has a nice dining room. It is big and roomy and the food they're serving there is absolutely wonderful. In Sunshine, the people are very caring. They also have lots of activities there like ice cream socials. People would come in and play for the residents.
not pleased!

Once I found this building, off of Whipperwill Drive, I was enchanted by the beautiful perennials that manicured the entrance. From the main street called Grand Blvd, you would never know that a "gem" sat back off a side street. The building was beautiful and once you approach the doors that automatically open upon arrival, it feels as if you stepped into another world. Happy residents relaxing in the common areas, some playing cards and others watering plants or visiting with family. There is a "doctors office type" window that visitors sign in and out on a log and a woman pleasantly greets you and gives you directions to where you need to go. Physical therapists were walking residents in the hallways and I couldn't help but notice all of the beautiful pictures and murals on the walls. The building appears to be shaped like the letter "H". There is a "locked" area with automatic doors that requires clearance. This area seemed to be designated for patients that suffer different stages of dementia. Most rooms seemed to be double occupancy and each resident had a closet that was solely for their belongings. Every room has its own bathroom with a commode. There is a central shower room to each hall. Three showers with privacy draping and a attendant. There is tea time everyday and constant activities for every limitation. When you look through the windows you notice that the property is circles by little cottage type homes that are also for retired living. The one thing that caught my eye immediately about this building is the fact that it has a lot of carpeted areas, when most large Alf's seem to have all tile flooring. It is not shag carpet, but the classic solid to the floor type carpet, that they were cleaning this particular day. Sound did not bounce and it did not feel like a "hospital". This little feature actually made it feel very welcoming. I did not eat at this facility, but the food looked and smelled great. The staff was plentiful and actually noticed every new face and greeted me at every corner. The fact that all of them were paying attention to the fact that I was there and where I was going , yet were very nice and welcoming put me at ease. I would place my mother here if I needed a ALF for her. On the particular day that I asked them about their occupancy, they had a small waiting list, which in my opinion signified something wonderful!
