This facility is falling apart. There are holes in the walls. The phones are not being answered and when we visited two days in a row no nurse was on duty. I can't believe it's still in business. The staff are unprofessional, wearing street clothes and sandals or flip flops . Four years ago it was very nice but has gone downhill ever since.

I thought Gulf Breeze Courtyard was too institutionalized, and it didnt smell really good. I really didnt see much. They had a TV and dining room. Their halls were so long and skinny. It would have been too much walking for my aunt. The staff was nice, said hello, and welcomed me. The rooms were nice and huge, but they were plain, just four walls, a bathroom, and a walk-in closet.

My experience with Gulf Breeze Courtyard was unsatisfactory. I didn't like the way it smelled. It smelled of urine. I had too many reports of problems with the residents. The staff was friendly, but covered up the problems. We went into the rooms and the dayroom, and it was just very unsatisfactory.

the staff is kind, patient and well trained. The administrator is very soft spoken, and keeps a calm , friendly atmosphere here. The top nurse knows her nursing stuff better than any I have met I love the cooks and the housekeepers, they are so willing to do extra if asked.

My father-in-law was in Gulf Breeze Courtyard before, but it was farther away from us. The staff was really great. Sometimes, they get people who don't really need to be walking in public, but the staff is really good at what they do, and they are caring people. At the Courtyard, it is a nice facility, and the bosses, the nurses, and everything else are good too. The facility is older, but it has bigger rooms, and it is more like an apartment complex type of thing; it is more like you are living in your own apartment with a bigger room, a bigger bathroom, and more free range because everybody socializes together in about four gathering rooms that are a nice size. It is also gated in, and they had better activities. He left there because he saw an ambulance outside; a lady was sick, and he has enough sense about himself that he knows he wants to get out, so we had to move him from there because he had escaped a couple of times.

From a nurses stand point this would be the facility that I would choose because they have licensed nurses on staff 24/7. The building is well kept, and very clean. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable of their field. I would highly recommend this beautiful facility.

The atmosphere inside is a very pleasant one and the main area upon entering is well lighted with large windows and a skylight. They are very good at informing family members of events and all activities happening on a monthly basis. The living quarters are excellent as there are no unwanted smells and residents are free to move about on there own and staff members are always around to assist them. The residents are fed well and receive snacks including ice cream, punch, popcorn and other things daily. Overall the vibe i have received from here has been excellent and i highly recommend it.
