We liked the Academy very much, and the staff was very nice, but the distance between the living areas and the dining room was too much to handle. The price was good. We loved the two-bedroom apartment with a garage. That would be our first choice if it was located closer to the gardens.

My father is in Academy Assisted Living. The staff is helpful and doing a good job. The atmosphere is good, casual, and relaxed. The dining area is nice, and the food is good. Maybe they can do a little modernizing. However, we are pretty happy with them.

My mother has been in Academy Assisted Living Facility for four months now. It's clean, it's small, it's more family oriented. It is also more hands-on. There are plenty of activities here. They have bingo, an art class, movie time, and they also have a gentleman come in to sing for them. It's very, very active. She's got her own room and it's affordable. We didn't have to depend on the state, it was something that she is financially able to do on her own.

There was a very positive atmosphere at this facility. The food that my brother used to cook for the elderly and sick people at the facility was top notch. The caregivers were very friendly and actually cared about the needs of residents. The property was very clean and well landscaped. I really like this facility compared to the other one my great grandmother was in before this one. The staff is very friendly and helpful every time my husband and I go to visit. The common areas, as well as my great grandmother's room is always clean and smells fresh. The facility is located near the hospital, which is reassuring that if anything happens to any of the patents that they are close by and don't have to go far to get to the emergency room. A family Friend named Jerome resided in the Academy Assisted Living Facility in Fort Pierce for a few months before passing and I was able to visit with him there. The staff was always friendly and caring. There was always someone ther to help him(Jerome). Jerome really felt he was being taken care of quite well.
