I am/was a resident of this facility

This place has been a God send. I needed surgery and was too weak to return to my apartment, so I chose the closest facility to the hospital (that had a 4 star rating from Medicare). EVERYONE here treats me with respect and they honestly do their best despite some needing more help than others. My son tells me that he has looked at other places in the area and their staffing levels seem to be much smaller and the set-up is not as open as Quality Health. Plenty of friendly folks to chat with whether it is the staff or other residents.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Both of our Mothers spent their final years at Quality Health. They were both taken care of respectfully and with dignity. The Staff, including the office personnel to the Nurses and the Aides were always very helpful, kind, considerate of our families needs and our Mother's daily needs. They have a wonderful Activities Department which involved our family members daily with stimulating activities that kept them actively engaged with life and others living within the facility. The rooms are adequate and have been repainted and updated. The Facility has gone thru some recent renovations which include painting and new flooring and Nurse's Stations upgrades. There are many volunteers who spend precious time with the Seniors and their activities. The Facility and Staff interact with the Community in many different ways which includes carnivals and children's activities...all which provide constant interaction with the Senior residents at Quality Health. Volunteers come in and play live music from Christian music to Folk music to Big Band music. We know our Mothers really enjoyed the music provided by these Volunteers from our Community. Hospice plays a tremendous role when needed and we were very grateful that that Service was provided to our Mothers' final when needed.

I am/was a resident of this facility

While I was undergoing intense chemo a few years ago, I fell in my backyard and broke both jaws that had to be wired shut for 4 weeks. I went to Quality Health for rehab to get back on my feet. The nursing staff was very attentive to my needs. The Therapy team worked me very hard and Dietary pureed my food (that was actually very good) so that I could regain my strength so I could go home.

Everything was good at Quality Health, and the staff was very helpful. The service was fine.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My elderly mother spent time at Quality Health while recuperating from a partial hip replacement. I found the staff to be caring and very attentive to her needs. Although an older facility, it was always clean and well kept. She received physical, occupational and speech therapy while there. The rehab staff was exceptional and she responded well to therapy.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was sent home with bedsores and skin breakdown when I left the facility. Not to mention I was sent to the hospital during my stay there with a urinary tract infection which I have not had since I left. The food was awful. The staff(CNAs, LPNs) is overworked and probably underpaid. I have Medicare as well as a supplemental policy and have never paid for a private room as my insurance always covered expenses. Not so here. This nursing home charges you over and above what is paid to them by Medicare and supplemental insurance. I signed a paper for the additional $25 a day extra charge thinking I was signing something for Medicare as they presented the paper to me amongst all the other papers one signs upon entering a nursing home. They should be required to accept what Medicare provides just like a physician that accepts Medicare insurance. What makes the nursing home more special to require more money? I would not send any family member to this nursing facility.

I visited this facility

The staff was quite rude and unprofessional. They required quite a deal of supervision to ensure they were properly caring for my friend. The amenities were to be expected for a nursing home with physical therapy rooms, a salon, ice cream shop, tv room and game room. The facilities were usually clean, but I noticed some residents received better care than others. I'm unsure why this occurred, but I witnessed it many many times. The rooms were spacious and nice, with cable TV provided in the rooms. My friend seemed to enjoy the facility until he succumbed to his disease, which I guess is all that matters. I just felt he wasn't cared for properly. I did notice that the day staff was much better than the night staff, and I tried to make sure I stayed at night as often as possible to reduce any errors or mistreatment of my friend. I would find it hard to recommend this facility to anyone who can afford something better. The parking was also atrocious. I noticed many residents were sent to the emergency room in the afternoon for what seemed like no reason at all. The ambulance crews often chastised the nurses there for calling unnecessarily.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My experience with Quality health is not very impressive. It seemed every time we went to visit my friend's grandmother she was in a lot of pain. We would call for the nurse and it would take a good 30-45 minutes just to get any service. The CNA's were very rude and seemed to only be there for a pay check. My friend's grandmother also commented that her meds and scheduled dressing changes were never on time. Although she is now passed away I feel bad that she had to spend her last days in such an unprofessional environment. Also, she would have to sit in her urine or feces for a bit longer than needed and this caused skin breakdown on her lower back. I feel like if there nurses and CAN's cared about their patients a little more they could have got more accomplished during her stay at the facility.

I am a past client of this provider

My Great Grandmother was in this center and so was my grandmother. The center was wonderful with my Grandmother anytime anything happened we knew and they got her out of bed often as she could not walk they made sure she stayed clean so she wouldn't have bed sores. Also they were right there until my Grandmother was put inthe hospital and we were told that nothing could be done for her. However when my Great Grandmother was in the center they were not so careing and she got bed sores really bad and stayed sick she wasn't able to get out of bed on her own either but then they were not so careing. I do thank them for everything they did for my Grandmother but, I feel they could have done more for my Great Grandmother. The center is always clean and the staff is very helpful now but before they could have cared less w happened to the people who lived there.
