Life Care Center of Estero is helping my sister with everything as she's completely immobile. Her room is spacious. She has a nice window to look out. Some of the staff have been good, and others not so good. She's had some things she's asked for and she still hasn't received them. The facilities are very clean. They have a hair salon, nails, and bingo. They have people come to sing there.

The management staff is unfriendly, and uncaring. I give a few nurses a 5 star rating. If a patient needs assistance for eating, HYDRATION or other personal care, it isn’t provided. If they have to go to the hospital for Servere dehydration, make sure they are back from the hospital before you ask a question about it or they will decline your return. They did this without a phone call to us. Just a Bad place due to management.

I liked the cleanliness of the Life Care Center of Estero. The staff was really great. They have a couple cool things in there for the residents, like a beauty shop, an ice cream parlor, and a library. It's a nice area. The woman that gave the tour was very pleasant and very friendly. She explained everything to the point where I could understand. She's very informative. Everything was clean and neat.

The rooms are not kept clean. Noticed garbage and items for patients on floor. Food is usually cold by the time it arrives. Call light was put out of reach or clamped to disable it. Told patient not to use it or not answered. Catheter tubing filled with sediment left unchanged and found tubing clamped so not able to drain. The aides do not report anything back to nurses that could be harmful to resident. Very worried for well being of resident.

The staff is unfriendly, uncaring and haughty. Calls in the evenings or over the weekend go unanswered. If a patient needs assistance for eating, hydration or other personal care, it isn’t provided.

My mom is at the Life Care Center of Estero. The upkeep is very nice. It's an older facility, but they keep it clean. The landscape is beautiful and it's just always very clean. They have older beds and older flooring, but it's not like broken up or anything like that. The food is good here and way better than her last place. The staff is just like in most facilities. You've got your good ones, and then you've got your lazy ones. They have on-site physical and occupational therapy, and their therapies are really good here; exceptional. All of the therapy staff is just amazing. Nothing's perfect, but things are pretty good. My mom's on Medicaid, so I'd say it's pretty good. I put her in a private room, which cost me $750 a month for what Medicaid doesn't cover. They have an ice cream parlor that's open every single day. And it's free for the residents every day. That's one thing my mom loves. It's not even that the CNAs are lazy, but I think that they're overwhelmed. So maybe if they could have fewer patients per CNA, it would be probably the best thing that they could improve on. Sometimes they have 12 patients that all need to be changed every 2 hours and it just doesn't happen. So, they could either do more staffing or fewer patients per CNA.

My mom is in rehab at the Life Care Center of Estero. I would recommend them. They took the time to help us get taken care of. It's a good facility. They're taking good care of my mom. I don't know what we would have done without them. The staff members were excellent. They have activities and day trips. We use Medicaid. They have a little courtyard between the buildings and little benches outside in front of the building. My mom's room is fine. It has a dresser, a little wardrobe closet, and a bed. We could rent a TV.

Do not send your family here. The aids are completely unattentive and let patients wait for as much as 40 minutes when call light is on. They are also nasty and mean to the residents. Sometimes verbally abusive. I visited a relative who was treated very poorly, I also walked through the memory care section and the patients were being ignored while the aids sat at the tables talking.

My Mother has been a resident for over 5 years. I visited several facilities before she moved there and this was, by far, the most pleasant and clean atmosphere of all. Except for the fact that the majority of residents are in wheel chairs, you would not recognize this as a nursing home when walking around. Through the 5 years, I have had to address very few issues, and when I do they are always addressed and brought to a conclusion. My Mother and our family have been blessed with the caregivers that have been assigned to her. I truly feel that they care about her and her comfort and needs.

My mom stayed in Life Care Center of Estero. She had her own room, and it was a lovely place. She stayed there and brought a hospice team with her. They didnt have enough staff to take care of someone as ill as her. Some of the staff was very good, but the nurses were spread very thin. I believe there were only two nurses to 26 patients. There seems to be an adequate number of aides, but for some reason they didnt understand that my mother needed to be fed one on one. Or that she wasnt able to move the wheelchair with her feet, so they would leave the chair unlocked. There were a lot of safety issues that I found there. Even the hospice patients, like the man in the next room who had multiple strokes, just rolled himself around in his electric wheelchair. They did not have any oxygen on the wall; they had to bring in something like a compressor. It was not setup for patients that are as sick as my mother, even though they marketed it that way to me. It would have been nice as an assisted living. I didnt feel like my mother got the care she needed, and it was $350 a day. They had me pay a month in advance, and theyre telling me I have to wait up to 30 days to get the refund, which I wasnt really pleased with. When she died I havent received anything yet. They had activities for the residents but my mother was just too sick to pay. I came in at 2:00 in the afternoon, and her lunch tray was still there untouched except for spilled orange juice, and she was starving. I ending up feeding her the two poached eggs from the morning, and she gobbled them up. No one tried to help her eat.

My friend is in Life Care Center of Estero. I visit her quite often. It is wonderful, clean place. The staff is very friendly and make the patients their priority. I cannot say anything bad about it. I never eat any of their food, but she said the food is normally very good. The dining room is very nice. She is very happy there. The only negative thing that I can say is the room could be a little larger, but that is in any place. Other than that, the place is clean and never has any urine smell. I have been in a nursing home before and will not put an animal in some that I have been in. This is just an absolutely wonderful place.

My wife went to Life Care Center for her rehab for 21 days and was very well cared for. It had a pleasant atmosphere. The place was well taken care of. The rehab people were all very attentive, very professional, and very well versed in their procedures and techniques. She had a stroke and needed to have some care for her paralysis on her left side. The activities there were very limited.

He’s in rehab now at Life Care of Estero. He’s getting therapy there. The nurses are very nice. It seemed good, better than most. It’s just a room. It’s pretty good.

DON'T BE FOOLED! They only pay attention to the patients when you visit on a regular basis. All the other patients are ignored. They did great for a couple of years until we moved outside the area. Now getting them to administer even the most basic level of care is frequently neglected. WE WOULD NEVER SELECT THEM AGAIN.

My mom is in Estero Life Care Center. It is excellent. It is close to my house here in Florida, and they take care of her very well. The facility that they provide is excellent. She has a private room with a bed and chest drawers. However, they can improve on the communication with the family.

I would rate Life Care Center of Estero a higher rating because it wasn't crowded. I chose it because of its location and proximity to where we live, and also because I had heard very good things about it. My first impression was it was a very nice facility. They had many activities available and had more equipment in their rehabilitation. They have an excellent physical therapy department. My husband had very good care and he did very well. Most of the staff were very good and kind. There was one that was not very helpful though. She was the discharge person and she needed to be prodded to get the job done. For the most part, they were lovely and very well-appointed. By summertime, my husband was able to have a room to himself and it worked out very well. Their food was excellent. His meals were delivered to him. He bragged about the food being so good.

I have had two clients in for rehab at Life Care. The facility is much more modern that most of the Skilled Nursing in Lee and Collier County. The staff have been very attentive and the rehab therapy has been excellent. The clients have enjoyed the clean rooms and updated atmosphere. The staff have been quick to react to challenges and have made both of my clients feel that they are respected and they have a voice and control in regards to their quality of treatment.
