St. Andrew Towers’ cost was right, but it had a five-year waiting list. The location is walking distance from home and would be a good location for my mom. I met a couple of people and they were very gracious and nice. It was clean, and the apartment that she showed us was newly painted. They had a very nice library, card room, and a cafeteria. They served two meals a day and had a small kitchenette area. They had a game room, chair aerobics, poker nights, puzzle rooms, and television room where you could sit and watch TV.

My mother currently lives in an independent senior citizen facility called St. Andrews Tower in the city of Coral Springs. The facility is clean and well maintained. Each resident is encouraged to volunteer as a desk greeter at least once a month. It is not forced upon them to volunteer but it is encouraged in order to help each resident become familiar with their neighbors. I personally like the fact that the facility is set as an apartment building with its own kitchen and comes either as a Studio or 1 bedroom apartment, thus providing independent living to each resident. The facility sponsors several events a month with each event catering towards a topic that is relevant to the health of each resident. The residents are kept very well informed on new laws and regulations regarding safety issues and health issues. I definitely would recommend St. Andrews to families that are looking for a place that has all the amenities of being at home.
