We visited Superior Residences of Brandon, which was excellent. The place is very clean and very accommodating. I love the layout of it. It was very nice. The staff that took us around was very informative. She answered all the questions, so it was a very positive visit. We visited the common areas, the outside areas, and the game rooms and what's available for them to do. They took us around to different rooms and explained what was available and the pricing. It was a very pleasant experience.

Superior Residences of Brandon was a very unique place. They had the entertainment areas up front before you walked through the locked doors. Once you get through the doors into the residence itself, that would contain the memory care residents, and then it becomes very basic. So I imagine that they took people in individually with an assistant or a caregiver who would stay with them, so they were always accompanied by that. The only problem that I found is that because my mother has COPD and she uses oxygen, they could not accommodate her because they do not have a certificate to deal with oxygen. We toured the whole facility, and the rooms were very basic. They were not nearly as large as the other places, but they were roomier and more private. They had attached a bathroom to each room. It wasn't as spectacular as the other place, but they were definitely adequate, and they were certainly not the worst. It was a very good place, but after going through so many places, it was pretty typical, acceptable memory care. The person who conducted that tour was fabulous.

I visited the Superior Residences of Brandon today for the first time. I can not say enough about the amazing staff they have there. They were very kind, compassionate, & sincere! I am sure what most people want for their elderly family is to know they are in good hands when they have to put them in a senior facility. I can tell you by my brief experience today that I truly saw the staff genuinely care about their residents! One person stood out above the rest & that was the manager, Latrina. She went above & beyond to show her compassion & kindness in a situation that she did not have to be involved in. She chose to make herself available because she genuinely is kind hearted & very compassionate! I would encourage anyone needing to find a place they trust that will care for their family member to go talk to Ms. Latrina & you will see what I saw in her!

Superior Residences of Brandon had a smell when I walked in. Its strictly memory care, its not assisted living. When I went to their office for my appointment, it was in the afternoon, there was a big dead roach on the floor. But I liked the staff, they were everywhere. Aides were everywhere. The staff who gave me the tour was a real gentleman. I liked him. He was awesome. They had a nice activity room. I liked everything about it except the smell and the roach. They had a lot of shared rooms, which I didnt like for my mom.

Superior Residences of Brandon is new and immaculate. The residents were dressed very cleanly. All of them were smiling and looked happy. Also, there were no odors of any kind anywhere. It's just a beautiful place to live. The furnishings in the bedroom, as well as in the common areas are very nice. I liked that they have something different for entertainment in the afternoon, and that it's not always bingo. They have music, dancing, cards, and trivia. The staff was very, very professional. They answered the questions I had and did not sidestep them. I feel very comfortable with them.

We liked Superior Residences of Brandon very much. We are going to use them for respite in the coming weeks, and we will be considering them for long-term care as a possibility. The staff was very engaged with the residents. It was clean and residents were able to socialize. The rooms were also very clean, and the size was more than adequate. The people can access outdoor areas where they can walk around. It was nice and clean with benches and things. It looked very comfortable.

I toured Superior Residences of Brandon. The facility was OK. We liked the little downtown area when you first walked in. It was very inviting. We got a nice tour of the facility, and this is the facility we chose to move my friend into, but we got a decline from the doctor. The person who took me around was extremely helpful.

My mother-in-law is moving into Superior Residences of Brandon. We thought it looked clean and safe, and the people we met there were very nice and helpful especially the person that we dealt with. The rooms looked nice and clean. It looked like there will be room enough to share. It's spacious enough for two beds. They had a big and nice dining area. The upkeep was fine and the whole place looked nice, neat, and clean. They showed us the room where they watch TV. They had a beauty salon, they had a place to gather, and they had an outside space where they can go out. The bathrooms were fine.

We actually went to three different facilities yesterday. To be very honest, Superior Residences of Brandon is our number one choice. The tour experience was excellent. The staff was extremely outgoing and friendly. The facility was very clean, and the residents appeared to be very happy. It was very homey. It was a very warm atmosphere and very safety conscious with handrails in the hallways. They have several living areas for the residents to relax, to watch TV, do activities, or just take a nap if they want to. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was definitely an adequate size for either a shared or private room.

I toured the Superior Residences of Brandon and everyone was very friendly. It was clean and it just felt very comfortable. The person who gave me the tour was Troy, and he was very, very warm and knowledgeable. He has experience in social work, as well as what he's doing now, and so he has had long experience in what he's doing. He cares about the people and sees that they get the best care possible. The rooms were very nice and more than adequate. Their cook gave me a box of freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies, and they were still warm and delicious. They have pianos, television, a courtyard/garden area, and they have a lot of different things that they do to allow them to express their creative side.

Superior Residences was a big facility. They set up their little common area and made it looked like an old fashion town and they had lot of activities. So, there were a lot of things going on all the time like ice cream social, bingo or memory games. The staff was good. I never had any issues with the staff. The food looked good.

Mother has been a resident at Superior Residences for over six years. She is loved, respected, comfortable and safe as a result of the caring, compassionate staff and administration. Our family decision to have mother live at Superior Residences was made after much research and the recommendation of friends and elder care providers. Is it perfect--no, but then neither is life. Would we make the same decision again--yes. Thanks to the caring staff, she is groomed and dressed each day and included in daily activities, she eats carefully prepared meals in the dining room and is truly loved and respected at Superior Residences of Brandon. Mother has "graduated" from Hospice three times and is in late stages of Alzheimer's Disease.
