The Crossings at Riverview was a good fit for us. I was very pleased with the layout, especially. It was ideal for my parents. My concern about it is that they changed ownership frequently recently, and sometimes that can cause some upheaval for staffing and things like that. So that's the only concern that I have specifically. Nevertheless, I felt like the staff gave some hope for continuity of care, which is important. And I thought that the place was clean, presented well, and spacious. I think that the continuity of care will be good. I think the staff is good and friendly. The menus looked adequate. I'm a little bit concerned about the food just because when they're changing ownership year after year, usually one of the first places that the new ownership looks to cut back is the cost of food. So that's one of my concerns about the food.

I visited The Crossings at Riverview. Their one-bedroom room was like a regular apartment. It had much more square footage than the other place. The building seemed a little older, but the apartments were nice. Some of them actually had a view of the Alafia River. The views out the windows were really beautiful. They had a theater, a gym, and all of the amenities. It felt a little more like a rest home and a little less like someplace where you could have fun. When we went in, there were two ladies in wheelchairs that were sitting by the elevator. They said, "We love it here." We asked, "What do you like about this place best?" She said, "They come and check on you if they don't see you." They're very attentive. They loved it there.

I would place The Crossings at Riverview at the top of my list, but it's just a little more on the higher end. It was an unbelievable place. I've never even seen a place like that, and it's the nicest one I've ever seen. It looks like a luxury hotel. The apartments were great, they looked brand new. They had two different outdoor spaces. One was like, an outdoor screened kind of lanai kind of thing at one side, and the other was a whole outdoor area with trails that you can walk, like with concrete sidewalks, and gazebos. Fatima was great, she answered all our questions. They have so many different spaces. They have a library, game rooms, and arts and crafts rooms. They even have a space that you don't pay for, but you can reserve a room with a kitchen, and you can have your whole family come and do a birthday party or anything with them. It was very impressive.

My friend is going to go to The Crossings at Riverview. We took her on a tour, and she said she felt comfortable there. It was very nice. My other neighbor and I were with her, and we decided we wanted to be there because it's so good. She likes the idea that you could go to the dining room because she doesn't cook at home. So that's one of the good things. She also likes that she could bring her dogs. She likes the idea that they would do her laundry and clean the place once a week. She will have a very cute apartment on the first floor which is quite close to where she could bring the dogs out to the back courtyard. Everything was very clean. They're fairly new, and I think they did a good job. They even let us go back and let us go into the apartment one more time. They were really good. They opened up the apartment and then we walked all around the building. It was very nice. In terms of activities, a couple of ladies were at the theater, and they were getting ready to watch a video. There's a sidewalk around the building and even in the back. My friend likes to take her dogs for long walks, so this is going to be good for her because she can walk around the building. Plus, they have a screened-in porch upstairs on the second floor and down below on the first floor. There are some benches outside, too. My friend can also see the river from her apartment. She got a nice view.

I love the tour at the Crossings. The facilities were great, beautiful, and pristine. The residents were very happy. They have a lot of great programs there for the seniors. The apartments were nice; it had features to help support the elderly and that kind of stuff available.

Everything about The Crossings at Riverview was really nice, but I thought the place was too big for my mom, and I felt like she might get lost there and won't be able to find her way back. The place was beautiful, and the people were very nice.

The Crossings at Riverview was a terrific, beautiful facility, but my mother was not ready to give up her independence yet.

The Crossings at Riverview was very nice and clean. I saw people returning from a trip out on a bus, I think they had all gone out for lunch together. We ate lunch there and had a really delicious meal. The apartment was very nice, but small. I liked everything about it, it just didn't seem to be quite the right place. The staff was very friendly and nice. The chef came out to greet us, very nice.

The Crossing at Riverview was a brand-new facility. The location was right on the Alafia River, so you had a river view. They even had a pet chicken. We weren’t able to meet the clients because they were all busy doing stuff. The staff was very accommodating and quite knowledgeable. We just did not spend too much time there. We did not get to see what they had to offer for food and did not go into the dining facility. We just basically looked at the living facilities.

The Crossings At Riverview was a gorgeous facility on the water, but it's a 6 mile drive in the car. It was absolutely brand new. The person who took us around was very informative. The rooms were lovely and nice sized with granite countertops. The only drawback was that its one side faced the river -- which was gorgeous -- but the other side was right on a busy highway. It's spectacular and state-of-the-art -- a wonderful place for someone who is moving to assisted living. It was a nice visit.
