After 2 years of being a very happy, proud resident at what was sold as a classic, beautiful luxury facility (was like a 5 star resort!), we are absolutely gobsmacked by the new "renovations". Clearly Federated did not hire a luxury designer. They hired a budget conscience decorator or service that found the cheapest solutions. They just completely re-carpeted the entire common areas with the busiest, cheapest looking mish mosh of vomit carpeting that I have never seen the likes of in a luxury setting. Not only is it extremely disorienting and distracting to people already feeling unsteady, but none of it matches from one room to the next, no cohesiveness and zero design or style. My poor mother gets dizzy trying to walk on it, other residents have mentioned they can not roll their chairs or walkers smoothly on the extra plush textured carpeting. The common conversation amongst everyone is the incredibly poor design decisions made for this reno). I refer to it as vomit carpet because one would not notice if someone was to actually vomit on it. It would just blend in. Assuming they wanted something that would not show dirt - they succeeded because it is so incredibly busy and distracting you would not notice anything stuck into it. They took all the class and luxury out of this gem and made it look like public housing. For what the resident's pay to live there, Federated should have invested in a classic style and not gone so cheap, modern and extreme to have mismatched patchworks of various carpet designs randomly placed every inch of the facility. If we had toured it today my mom would never had agreed to move there. No longer dressed to impress. Hey Sinai, they are old - not blind!

The facility is very nice and clean but other than that Sanai was a horrible experience for our family. The staff turnover was constant. They also encourage you to hire a private aide, which was a surprise to our family. On numerous occasions, when we tried to reach the nurses station with questions, the voice mail was either full or we never received a return call. My mother was in Memory Care at Sinai and the hair salon was not in a secured part of the building. There was one time when I was in lobby and the elevators doors opened up and there was my mother alone in the elevator where she could have walked right out the front door! When my mom recently passed away, my sister called the nurse manager to let her know and the first thing she asked her was when we would have her stuff out of her room. Not even a “we are sorry for your loss.” Had we been in a position to move my mom we most certainly would have.

Sinai Residences Boca Raton is upscale. It's excellent in every respect. We saw four different room sizes. They're more than adequate. We had lunch there and it's exceptionally well prepared. The residents there seemed happy and busy. Overall, it exceeded my expectations in every way other than its cost. It was quite pricy. The rooms were adequate in size for the one bedroom, adequate in size for the two bedrooms and two baths, and modern style. They seem to be keeping up with all of their maintenance. There was nothing I saw that could require repair. Everything was properly working. The dining room service was ready. They're courteous. The menu had enough variety. It was lunchtime and they had a variety of salads, a choice of hot food or otherwise cold food. It's excellent quality, more than sufficient in terms of how much they served. Overall, it was an excellent experience, for the food, for the rooms, in general. The only thing I can complain about is that it's one of the more expensive ones. The staff answered every question we had. She didn't cut corners with her answers. She was quite thorough. In terms of the geography, everything is laid out excellently. Everybody has access to the pools and the walkways. They have an excellent gym. I would give almost everything a top rating.

The Sinai Residences was very nice. I was considering it along with another place. This one was just a little less friendly but its facilities were beautiful. The staff was a little less warm and less friendly. The food was good though. During the tour, I looked at their independent living.

I visited Sinai Residences Boca Raton over a year ago. Then we went on a waiting list and was on a waiting list for about a year. We had decided to move in there; however, we weren't aware of an extra price. Then we decided not to go into there. The place was very nice. It was a very good tour. The apartments were smaller than we would have liked, but the one we wanted had a balcony. They had resident dining. They had like a kind of a brunch in the morning. It was not much, just like muffins. Then they had a full course meal at night. The one thing I didn't like about the dining is that you had to make reservations every night. I didn't like that. It also had kosher food, which is what I'm looking for and is a little bit hard to find. It was a lovely place. It had a lot of amenities. The first person that we dealt with was very, very good and very nice. We went back a couple times, and she was not available. We had someone else, and she was OK. The other one had a much better personality. The people we talked to were very nice and very accommodating. They had a nice, handicapped pool if you needed it. It was regular pool, plus the handicapped. They had a day spa, and they had all kinds of rooms and activities, like art and crafts and just about all kinds of clubs that you can imagine. They had a nice auditorium, and they had lecturers come in to talk to speak about different subjects. They had a barber shop, a salon, lots of exercise rooms, and exercise classes. Everything was great except for the cost. I remember eating dessert there, which was great. I think the rest must have been very good. They have kosher food too.
